<\/a>HUCKABEE: Are you about worn out of all the television commercials you\u2019ve been seeing — mostly about politics? I don\u2019t blame you. At this time of year, sometimes it\u2019s nice to pull aside from all of that and just remember that what really matters is the celebration of the birth of Christ and being with our family and our friends. I hope you and your family will have a magnificent Christmas season, and on behalf of all of us, God bless and Merry Christmas. I\u2019m Mike Huckabee and I approve this message.<\/p>\n

COKIE ROBERTS: He\u2019s stating the fact: It\u2019s Christ\u2019s birth, doing it in a very low-key way and the people talking about it is us. I think if you\u2019re just watching TV ads, that that one is faaaar nicer to look at than all the attack ads. <\/p>\n

JOE SCARBOROUGH: This is the genius of him.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Why the Drive-Bys like this. Normally, the Drive-Bys, you start mentioning Christ — it\u2019s bad enough to say you\u2019re a Christian, but you start mentioning Christ, the birth of Christ — the Drive-Bys and the liberals run for the hills. ‘Separation of church and state!\u2019 But in this case? It\u2019s brilliant, brilliant. I know why. I know why. They hope Huckabee gets the nomination. They can\u2019t wait! (laughing) They just cannot wait. ‘Then we get him, then we get rid of all this evangelical stuff once and for all!\u2019 <\/p>\n

<\/a>Ron Paul. (laughing) You\u2019ve gotta hear this. Fox &amp; Friends. This is this morning. Steve Doocy talking with Ron Paul. Doocy says, ‘Congressman, I\u2019m interested in what you think about Mike Huckabee\u2019s Christmas ad.\u2019<\/line> <\/line> RON PAUL: Well, I haven\u2019t thought about it completely but, you know, it reminds me of what Sinclair Lewis once said. He said, ‘When fascism comes to this country, it will be wrapped in the flag carrying a cross.\u2019 I don\u2019t know whether that\u2019s a fair assessment or not, but you wonder about using a cross like he is the only Christian or implying that subtly. So, I don\u2019t think I would ever used anything like that.<\/line> <\/line> RUSH: Oh, Huckabee is a fascist! (laughter) (interruption) What do you mean thanks? (interruption) Why didn\u2019t you want me to play that? It doesn\u2019t matter. The show\u2019s over. You don\u2019t have to worry about the Ron Paul calls. Snerdley… (interruption) Snerdley, you gotta understand something. I know I\u2019m not down there and I know it\u2019s the Christmas season, but how this show affects your calls is not how I\u2019m going to do it. I am not going to avoid talking about Ron Paul just so you don\u2019t have to deal with Ron Paul callers. I still run this show! What is it about this day?
