CALLER: I can\u2019t believe I got through to you, Rush. I have been listening since 1988 and called hundreds of times and never got through.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, I\u2019m glad you did. Congratulations. I know what a big deal it is. If I were in your shoes, it\u2019d be the event of the year.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s even a big deal to you. I was a dyed in-the-heart liberal — or dyed-in-the-wool liberal — from Massachusetts 30 years ago and not even close now. But I\u2019m calling because yesterday you were talking about Licensed to Lie, by Sidney Powell<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>RUSH: I did, yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was driving, so I asked my wife to look it up for me on Amazon, and she did. And there was a brand-new copy available for $29. A few minutes later I asked her, I said, “Hey, see what you can find for a used one.” And she went back, and she says, “What?” The prices went up from 29, the cheapest one was now $77.90 —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Whoa, whoa, whoa, 77 bucks, the price went from 29 to $77?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, but that\u2019s not all of it, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a second.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I sent her back even one more time, and then I saw $599, 631, a collector\u2019s edition at $1,303, all used. And I got screenshots to prove it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t doubt, but those 599 or 631, those are e-bays or —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, this is Amazon. This is all Amazon. It\u2019s all the same site. All she did was refresh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So $631 bucks for a book?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s something — are you sure they weren\u2019t packaging it with some other books? Snerdley\u2019s in there nodding.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m completely positive, Rush. The way it is — and I put this on my Facebook page, #Rushmovesmarkets.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes, long ago established. But I didn\u2019t —<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s astounding, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

RUSH: I bought the e-book version like three weeks ago for whatever it was, I don\u2019t know, $24.99.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This book is four years old.<\/p>\n

CALLER: The Kindle version was $7.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Kindle version was seven.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you read e-books or did you want the actual book?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m a hardcover guy. I don\u2019t care hard or paper, but I like to read with a book in my hand.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So which version — did you have your wife buy one of them? Which one did you get?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, no, we didn\u2019t, I\u2019m a cheapskate too. I was gonna get it used at a cheaper price. So I haven\u2019t gotten it.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, see, if you had an iPad or a Kindle you\u2019d go in there and get it for seven bucks and you\u2019d have the same words and it\u2019s convenient reading on one of those devices. But I had no idea. I\u2019ve never heard of this.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Isn\u2019t that crazy? Yeah. My eyes were just bugging when she said that. I was driving down —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Can your wife see? Can she read?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Of course she can read.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘Cause this seems unbelievable.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019re retired. We weren\u2019t born yesterday. She just retired working as a quality assurance test manager in software development. I mean, she knows what —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, then she can read, no question about that. I just thought maybe she was missing a decimal point in these prices or something.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know it\u2019s hard — I was astounded, especially the second refresh when it went up over a thousand dollars for the so-called collectable edition.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right. I\u2019m blown away by this too. You\u2019ve caught me a little flat-footed here. I did not know any of this. I mean, this is the first I\u2019ve heard about any of this since the program ended. I mean, I know there was probably gonna be some additional sales of the book yesterday<\/a>, but I had no idea of this.<\/p>\n

This book is four years old. Anyway, I\u2019m glad people are gonna get this thing and read it \u2019cause it is explosive. I don\u2019t know how it sat out there as stable as it has been. So I\u2019m glad you\u2019re gonna — you\u2019ll eventually get it, and when you do, you\u2019ll be glad you did. I appreciate the call.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
