Salena Zito had a tweet earlier on the union Supreme Court decision, and I think that she\u2019s on the money. She is, again, the journalist traveling to all of the small towns in Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, meeting actual Trump voters and learning about them, who they are, how they live, how they work, why they vote Trump, why they stay Trump supporters.<\/p>\n Anyway, her tweet, “If you do not think 5-4 #scotus decisions aren\u2019t being scrutinized by conservative populist voters, then you have not been paying attention to how Evangelicals & [Second Amendment] voters view courts & politics. That slim margin energizes them to come out 2018 and 2020.”<\/p>\n What she means here is that these voters that she\u2019s gotten to know, Trump supporters, Evangelicals too, Second Amendment people, they\u2019re sophisticated, they know that a 5-4 Supreme Court victory is razor thin. It doesn\u2019t lessen the power of the victory, but she says they are very much aware that 5-4 is tenuous, and it will inspire them to turn out and vote in 2018 and 2020 for candidates that are going to keep the court as it is and make it even more so-called conservative in that direction. She\u2019s exactly right.<\/p>\n And here again, the people we\u2019re talking about, the establishment still look down at \u2019em, let\u2019s be honest. I say they hold them in contempt. They just look down on \u2019em. They don\u2019t extend very much respect to them, don\u2019t think they\u2019re very bright, and certainly don\u2019t understand political science. And so they\u2019re ignored, and even when their votes go against the establishment\u2019s way it\u2019s considered a one-off and an outlier and doesn\u2019t really mean anything. And they think the answer to it is to come back with more money.<\/p>\n Well, talk to Joe Crowley about more money. Joe Crowley was a Democrat Party Queens boss. He was next in line to Speaker of the House if Pelosi ever got it again from the Democrat side. This guy didn\u2019t even show up at one of the debates. He sent an alternate on the theory he was too busy. He had a scheduling conflict for a scheduled debate. So he sent an alternate to the debate. That\u2019s how unserious they took this woman, who just ripped \u2019em a new one.<\/p>\n BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n RUSH: I want to give you a little taste of the Drive-By Media celebrating the demise of the white guy in New York, the Democrat Party, Joe Crowley, who\u2019d been there 20 years, next in line to be speaker. He was upset by the 28-year-old Marxist, socialist, communist babe.<\/p>\n And here\u2019s the Drive-Bys. See, the Democrats are trying, “Oh, no, no, no, don\u2019t worry, it doesn\u2019t mean that our party is going radical left.” And yet here are the leaders of their party, the Drive-By Media celebrating it. We have a montage of Matthew Dowd, Brian Williams, Henry Anton, David Chalian, CNN, Derek Hunter, Jeffrey Toobin, just a bunch of people you never heard of, \u2019cause most of them are on CNN. Here is the bite.<\/p>\n MATTHEW DOWD: This is a district that was over 80% nonwhite and obviously Joe Crowley did not fit.<\/p>\n BRIAN WILLIAMS: Joe Crowley, 56-year-old Irish-American, white guy, defeated.<\/p>\n HENRY ENTEN: He was a white man, the Democratic Party — at least the voters want a more diverse Congress.<\/p>\n DAVID CHALIAN: It\u2019s a story of generational change, racial and demographic change.<\/p>\n DEREK HUNTER: The idea of a white man representing that district was a bridge too far for many.<\/p>\n JEFFREY TOOBIN: It\u2019s only 20% white anymore, that district.<\/p>\n STEVE KORNACKI: His district, think of the show All In the Family back in the \u201970s. Archie Bunker. They used to call them the white ethnics.<\/p>\n RUSH: (laughing) The Archie Bunker district. Okay. So here\u2019s the media happy, happy that a white guy, doesn\u2019t matter he\u2019s one of their, doesn\u2019t matter he\u2019s a Pelosi buddy, none of that matters because identity politics, diversity, quotas, affirmative action. That\u2019s all that matters. What people look like is all that matters and another white guy, even though he was a beloved Democrat, has taken it on the chin, and it\u2019s reason to celebrate.<\/p>\n Here is the woman who beat the old white guy. Her name is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She is from Puerto Rico, which is also socialist and also a failure even before the hurricane, and she — (interruption) What? Snerdley — Puerto Rico, are you trying to deny — Puerto Rico was in economic trouble even before the hurricane. I\u2019m not advocating for the hurricane. Do not misunderstand here. I mean, Puerto Rico is like a Democrat voting state. May have Steve Schmidt thinks they\u2019re better than the U.S. because they don\u2019t have child internment camps there; I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n But, anyway, that\u2019s where she\u2019s from. Now, this is actually an ad. These Democrats, they\u2019re gonna run socialists in booming Trump districts, booming Trump economy. And folks, this is gonna be like Mondull in \u201984 running against Reagan. When Mondull went out and promised to raise taxes and then said Reagan\u2019s gonna do that, too, but he won\u2019t tell you and I just did. And that was it for Mondull. And this is what this gonna be. Here\u2019s a portion of an ad Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran during her campaign.<\/p>\n OCASIO-CORTEZ: This race is about people versus money. We\u2019ve got people. They\u2019ve got money. It\u2019s time we acknowledge that not all Democrats are the same. They may not admit it, but you would think her book would be the number one book to read by Democrat political consultants. And they\u2019re shunning it.
