This is like a real treat, Rush. I\u2019m nervous. I\u2019m going to try and speak succinctly because I know your time is little and it is a treat to be able to speak to you. But, you know, I heard you for the first time in 1999. I heard you on the radio, and I thought, &#8216;Oh, my gosh, who is this guy? I love the way he thinks. This is how I think,\u2019 and over the years, listening to your program, listening to you teach and explain modern-day events and what all the hidden agendas are underneath, lifting back those covers and exposing that stuff, you\u2019ve really&#8230; It\u2019s not like you have converted me, it\u2019s like you\u2019ve been a catalyst to help me think for myself &#8212; <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; and be in touch. Unlike the Democrats, who want me to be dependent on them, actually you make me more independent and a more analytical and a sharper thinker, and I think what you hear from your callers is a lot of gratitude and respect and, you know, you\u2019re larger than life. You\u2019re what we need in this country to help us sort through all this stuff that comes through the Drive-By Media. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Did you by any chance grow up a Democrat or a liberal? <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (laughter) Um, yes. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You see, I could tell. I just knew because this realization that you\u2019ve experienced, this revelation, this rebirth since 1999, has been profound to you. <\/p>\n<p>CALLER: It\u2019s changed my life &#8212; and, you know what? I raised my two girls to listen to you, and let me tell you, they are sharp, and they are great thinkers, and you can\u2019t put much past them &#8212; and they require more of the men in their life, because of you. And I\u2019ll tell you, you are very articulate about religion and its proper role in politics, and there\u2019s no way that you can separate the two, because politics is really the study of people and their issues, and people who believe in God, they live out of the center of their hearts. Those issues motivate everything they do. So anyway, I can\u2019t thank you enough for what you\u2019ve done. You just made my life so much richer, smarter, and, you know what, when I have to go do something and I can\u2019t pay attention to events, I know you\u2019re there, and I\u2019m able to give my full attention to my projects and I really appreciate that and I really appreciate you addressing the Mitt Romney situation. <\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, thank you very much. All of this is mutual. You and everybody else in the audience mean as much to me. You mean more to me than whatever it is I mean to you, and I\u2019m not trying to diminish what you said.
