RUSH: Back to the phones, Open Line Friday. Waterloo, Iowa. This is Sam. It\u2019s nice to have you on the program, sir. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Hello. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, professor, for allowing me a front row seat in your classroom for many years. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I appreciate that. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughs) Say, are you aware that the UAW is holding mock elections in every union shop clear across the country? <\/p>\n

RUSH: Frankly, no, wasn\u2019t aware of that. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, we just had ours, we have a few hundred members that can vote, and I thought you might be delighted to note that the lady with the testicle lockbox did not get one vote. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a second. You\u2019re a member of the UAW? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. <\/p>\n

RUSH: And how many voted in your whatever local? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Three hundred and twenty. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Three hundred and twenty, in your UAW local in Iowa, in Waterloo? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Right. <\/p>\n

RUSH: And Mrs. Clinton didn\u2019t get one vote in these mock elections? <\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. John Edwards came in first. Now, it gets even better. The UAW also had a school for community action program in Des Moines, and there were 540 of us down there, and we had our own mock election, and down there that woman, what\u2019s her name, only got 35 votes. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, what do you make of this? This can\u2019t possibly tell us anything about the Hawkeye Cauci. I mean, the Hawkeye Cauci is pretty close. The lead goes back and forth, depending on the poll between Obama and Mrs. Clinton. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, she is not doing well in rural Iowa. All you need to do is drive down the country roads and take a mental census of what signs you see, and we see less her signs than anybody else. <\/p>\n

RUSH: I love these anecdotal stories. I don\u2019t quite know what to make of this. I guess all we can make of it, here, is that within these UAW votes, she\u2019s not liked. <\/p>\n

CALLER: I guess not. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Do they know…? Who did you vote for? <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I didn\u2019t vote for the Democratic side, of course. <\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) I vote on the other side. Oh, by the way, on the Republican side, Ron Paul came in first, and it was a three-way tie between Huckabee, Romney, and Thompson. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Rudy was nowhere near it, huh? <\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m sorry to say. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, Rudy\u2019s not even focusing on Iowa, though. That\u2019s the thing. Rudy\u2019s strategery kicks off in New Hampshire — and, Florida is going to be key. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, maybe that makes sense, because you know, there\u2019s more people live in Chicago than live in the whole state of Iowa. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah, but Iowa does have its importance, as we all know. Well, that\u2019s interesting, Sam. I\u2019m glad that you were on the scene there and reporting these results for me. Thanks very much. <\/p>\n
