CALLER: I set an alarm because time gets away from me but I don\u2019t want to miss you.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wow. You know, I set alarms, too, like to wake up. I have to use my watch to do it. Yesterday I had to set an alarm to remind me somebody was showing up at a certain time.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Ha!<\/p>\n
RUSH: So I get it. I get it. I\u2019m flattered that you would, that it\u2019s worthy of an alarm. I appreciate that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, it certainly is because I certainly can\u2019t trust the Drive-Bys anymore. But here\u2019s my question — and I think you\u2019ll see where I\u2019m going when I ask it.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay.<\/p>\n
CALLER: What legislation has Trump signed or what executive order has he given that justifies anyone blaming him separating kids from their parents?<\/p>\n
RUSH: That would be nothing.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Exactly.<\/p>\n
RUSH: There hasn\u2019t been… All Trump is doing is enforcing existing laws that he has had nothing to do with passing.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I say if people are outraged, they should start calling their congressman to start working on immigration.<\/p>\n
RUSH: See, I keep trying… I keep trying to slither away from this, because, look, frankly… No offense, Leslie.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yes?<\/p>\n
RUSH: I\u2019ve explained this. There\u2019s nothing left to say about this. If you don\u2019t understand what I said about it, then it\u2019s your problem. I have made it perfectly clear why this is happening via the law.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I\u2019ve explained it. Now, I keep trying to slither away, but they keep sucking me back in here. Like, I\u2019ve got some Hillary sound bites on this. You want to listen to those with me?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. Here\u2019s the first one. Hillary was in New York City speaking at a luncheon benefiting the Women\u2019s Forum of New York. What the hell is that? Women\u2019s Forum of New York. It\u2019s “a community where prominent New York women leaders of diverse achievement come together…” Oh, what\u2019s diverse achievement? Being a good black person, a guide white per? What\u2019s diverse achievement? Since diversity of these people are skin color… (interruption) Oh, being a good donor! See, I\u2019m not part of the donor world. Didn\u2019t even occur to me that that\u2019s what this is. Anyway, we have two bites from Hillary. Here\u2019s the first. She\u2019s just lying, I mean, like the Clintons do.<\/p>\n
HILLARY: (whispering) This is not happening because of the, quote, Democrats\u2019 law as the White House has claimed. Separating families is not mandated by law at all. That is an outright lie.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Mrs. Clinton, this is why you weren\u2019t elected. You don\u2019t even know what the law is, and you didn\u2019t care (chuckles), nor your husband. But it is the law. It is the law! Especially if asylum claims are involved. If you have people committing felonies, the first attempt to get into the country illegally is a misdemeanor. But if try again, you have committed a felony, according to existing U.S. law. If you commit a felony and you\u2019re trying to get in with your kids, you\u2019re separated and your kids are taken over to Health and Human Services for 20 days while your case is dealt with.<\/p>\n
You have nowhere to live. You\u2019re here illegally! We give your kids a home while you\u2019re being processed. If you add an asylum claim, if you\u2019re seeking asylum, the longest kids can be held is 20 days. There are pictures of these kids behind chain fences, in little cells, during the Obama administration. Hillary doesn\u2019t know what she\u2019s talking about. But the law does not say “separating families.” This isn\u2019t… This is the semantics of it again.<\/p>\n
Hillary\u2019s trying to make you think that Trump has enacted some new law that says, “We will separate families.” That\u2019s not what is going on. None of it would be happening if they weren\u2019t here! If they weren\u2019t attempting illegal entry. What is so hard to understand about? You know what? It isn\u2019t hard to understand. People don\u2019t want to deal with it. When children are involved, the law doesn\u2019t matter. I understand how I\u2019m probably rowing up against the current here.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s the next Hillary sound bite as we punish ourselves even more…<\/p>\n
HILLARY: Those who selectively use the Bible to justify this cruelty are ignoring a central tenet of Christianity. I went to a lot of years of Sunday school. I even taught it from time to time.<\/p>\n
RUSH: That\u2019s a problem.<\/p>\n

HILLARY: I\u2019ve studied the Bible, both the old and the New Testament, and what is being done using the name of religion is contrary to everything I was ever taught. Jesus said, “Suffer the little children unto me.” He did not say, “Let the children suffer.”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Nobody else is saying that, either — and Jeff Sessions says what\u2019s biblical is enforcing the law, not separating families. This is all just crock. Anyway, Leslie, does that want to make you say any more about this?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, it doesn\u2019t make me want to say anymore about that because I\u2019ve already made up my mind it\u2019s bunk. But there is one other question I would like you to comment on.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay. What is it?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Well, you all heard about the stuff about, “Oh, is Trump gonna fire Mueller?”<\/p>\n
RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay, fine. He\u2019s not. But my question is, why can\u2019t he hire another special counsel himself?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, that\u2019s what Giuliani is calling for. Rudy… (chuckling) Rudy was on fire over the weekend. “He\u2019s right. We need to investigate this investigation.” It\u2019s all anti-Trump people on this guy\u2019s staff. This thing is as bogus as this charge we\u2019re dealing with today. This investigation is as bogus as the charge that Trump colluded with Russia and that they stole the election. The only reason that I don\u2019t actively support this is look how long these damn things take.<\/p>\n
This inspector in general report required 15 months of investigation of the FBI just on the Hillary email business. Fifteen months! Do you…? That\u2019s another feature of swamp life. Everything goes to slow that everybody gets frustrated and forgets about it and thinks that it will never get dealt with — and if you think it\u2019s never gonna get dealt with, then you never even start process. And it\u2019s a swamp trick. This stuff happens at the speed of molasses because everybody works two to three days a week, max.<\/p>\n
