Well, she failed to triangulate her answer. Then she complained that the boys were piling on her (which is a sight you don\u2019t want to imagine) — I mean, picking on her (more fun to envision that). Then she backpedaled. Finally, Mrs. Bill Clinton called on her “big boy” to put the issue to bed — so to speak.On Monday, Bill Clinton came to his helpless wife\u2019s rescue. He accused Republicans of trying to sink Hillary like they did John Kerry — going into “cutesy land again” because they criticized her non-answer to a simple question: Does she support a plan by New York Governor Eliot Spitzer to provide driver\u2019s licenses to illegal immigrants?<\/p>\n

Big Boy Billy said the issue is too complicated for debates: “It\u2019s fine for Hillary and all the other Democrats to discuss Governor Spitzer\u2019s plan… but not in 30 seconds– yes, no, raise your hand. [You can\u2019t do it. Won\u2019t fit in a sound bite.]”<\/p>\n

Mr. Clinton: First of all, it was a certain radio talk show host who forced the question — me. Second, it was Democrats on the podium with your wife who called her on her double-talk non-answer. Face it: she does not have your talent of lying off the cuff.<\/p>\n

So what is the Clinton position? Should illegals get driver\u2019s licenses? Simple yes or no! You don\u2019t have to raise your hand, or anything else. It\u2019s easy to understand under 30 seconds. Just like we didn\u2019t have to ponder the meaning of “is,” in order to understand you had an intern under the desk. Mr. Clinton, it isn\u2019t hard… in your case, I should say, “It\u2019s not complex.” Sorry. No offense. Heh, heh, heh!<\/p>\n
