RUSH: This is Bill on the phone from Amman, Jordan. We\u2019re probably going to have some delay here, right, on a satellite? No delay? Bill, welcome to the program, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Hi, Rush. Mega dittos from the other side of the world.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. What time is it there?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It is about quarter to nine at night.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s exactly right. It\u2019s a quarter to ten in Dubai, maybe a quarter of 11.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right. Yeah, that\u2019s right. Can you still hear me okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. Oh, I hear you fine. I was just waiting for you to continue.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, I\u2019m sorry. My question, or, slash, comment was: Have you considered who Hillary\u2019s running mate might be? And I think I have the answer.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Who?<\/p>\n

CALLER: General Wesley Clark.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The more interesting question to me is: Would Hillary accept the vice presidential nod from one of the other candidates, say from John Edwards or from Barack Obama?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think if she\u2019s smart — and I hope she\u2019s not, but I think if she is — she will find a way to overcome her lack of support within the military ranks by choosing somebody like General Clark.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Interesting thought. General Clark has, unfortunately, gone off the deep end. General Clark is not all that rational these days. Maybe he can get some back. In all candor — and this is the conventional wisdom, so it\u2019s probably wrong — but the real Hillary Clinton front-runner for the veep is Evan Bayh out of Indiana. That\u2019s who people think that it\u2019s going to be. It\u2019s not going to be any of these chumps that are on the stage, because once she wipes you out as a chump, she\u2019s not going to revive you and make you a competitor for her office. Bill, what do you do? Before I go, real quickly, what do you do in Amman, Jordan?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, I was afraid you were going to ask that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, that\u2019s even better! You can\u2019t tell me. That\u2019s even more exciting, right? You can\u2019t tell me?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s true. I\u2019m sorry.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s okay. So the liberals in the audience, Bill, have concluded you work for Blackwater.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughter) <\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, not so. (laughter) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (laughter) <\/p>\n

CALLER: No, not so, but I do have a long military history. My wife was former military. I\u2019m former military. I have a daughter serving in Baghdad, and I have a son in the Marine Corps following, and I go there in the spring.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. Well, God bless you and your family, and thank you for the phone call.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you, Rush, and God bless you.<\/p>\n
