<\/p>\nRUSH: You heard the latest from Rudy Giuliani? Rudy Giuliani says that there is no way President Trump is gonna sit down and have an interview with Mueller until Mueller provides information on the informant in the Trump campaign. Now, you know Mueller is desperate to talk to Trump. We know that to be true, whether it\u2019s reported or not. And we\u2019re told that Trump really wants to talk to Mueller, which everybody thinks would be a big mistake.<\/p>\n

But Rudy\u2019s out there saying, “Yeah, okay. Ain\u2019t gonna happen until Mueller provides us information on this informant and what they know about what was going on in our campaign.” Which is very wise. Very smart. Make Mueller responsible for information on the spy.<\/p>\n
Otherwise Trump sits down and here\u2019s Mueller (imitating Mueller), “Okay, Mr. Dork. The time of your end has arrived. You\u2019re sitting here with me, Bob Mueller. We know there\u2019s a spy. We know you\u2019ve been working with Putin. What do you have to say about it?”<\/p>\n
Trump answers.<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m gonna ask you one more time. We know there\u2019s a spy. We know you\u2019ve been working with the Russians. We know you couldn\u2019ta won this on your own, you couldn\u2019ta beat us, we\u2019re too smart. How did you do it?”<\/p>\n
Trump answers.<\/p>\n
“Wait a minute. Your answer just differed. Those two questions were identical and you said a couple of different things. I think you\u2019re lying to me, Mr. President.”<\/p>\n
But if it goes like this. “All right. Mr. President, thanks for coming. I\u2019m Bob Mueller, and I run this town, and my job\u2019s to get rid of you, and I appreciate you sitting here and making it easier for me.”<\/p>\n
Trump says, “Wait a minute. I\u2019m not answering anything else until you tell me about the informant you say is in my campaign and that you put there.” That\u2019s Rudy\u2019s idea, it would happen before the interview with Mueller. But you make Mueller responsible for the information on the spy, and if the Mueller team balks, “We\u2019re not gonna accept those terms,” then Trump can say then all you\u2019re doing is PR for your abuse of power and so forth.” But, you know, make Mueller admit what\u2019s going on in there as a precondition to doing the talk. And then if the talk doesn\u2019t happen, make it Mueller\u2019s fault. We\u2019ll see how that pans out. But I like the strategic thinking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
