CALLER: Thank you, Rush. It\u2019s so good to speak to you. You just have no idea.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir. I appreciate that you say that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You will never have the pleasure of speaking to somebody like you \u2019cause you\u2019re the only one.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s right. I can\u2019t dispute that.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I called to say that the reason that Hillary didn\u2019t tip the waitress is because she\u2019s hates waiters and waitresses. All Democrats hate waiters and waitresses because they are compensated based solely on how good a job that they do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s a bit of a stretch. I know what you\u2019re saying. They hate capitalism. They hate people who are profit participants, because they want people to be dependent. I think in this case, I think it\u2019s just Mrs. Clinton who\u2019s got an attitude. These are little people; they can\u2019t do anything for them. It didn\u2019t occur to her, and there\u2019s a pattern. It\u2019s not just the first time this has happened. This happened one more other time that we know about in upstate New York. You know, this is the kind of thing — had the question about the New York driver\u2019s licenses not come up, and had Clinton not gone out on the warpath and accused everybody was Swiftboating his wife and so forth — this story wouldn\u2019t have made it out of Iowa much beyond Iowa at all. I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s a snowball yet but there clearly is a pattern developing here of negative news being reported about Mrs. Clinton. Now, it could all be part of a plan to get the negative coverage out of the way now. I have no doubt that the Drive-Bys are not going to abandon her. That\u2019s not what I\u2019m saying. By the way, speaking of Mrs. Clinton, I do have in Mrs. Clinton\u2019s Stack here today:<\/p>\n

USA Today: ‘More than eight in ten Republicans and more than half the married men in a new USA Today\/Gallup Poll said they definitely wouldn\u2019t vote for Hillary Clinton for president. The poll provides an earlier snapshot of who\u2019s ruling out Clinton, John Edwards, and Barack Obama, the three leading candidates for the nomination. Clinton is atop most of the national polls for Democrats, strongest within her party, only 10% of Democrats said they\u2019d rule her out. Nearly three times as many said they will not vote for Edwards. Some Democrats wonder, though, whether she is potentially unelectable or a drag on candidates lower on the ballot. Her rivals, such as Edwards, say that they\u2019re better bets. In a general election, the poll suggests that Clinton has the least potential for winning votes from Republicans: 84% said they definitely would not vote for her, compared with six in ten for either Obama or Edwards. The poll found that 36% of women would not vote for Clinton, compared with 50% of men and 55% of married men.\u2019 This is not surprising to me at all, because I observed a long time ago that Mrs. Clinton reminds a lot of guys of their first wife, maybe their first and second wives, and they wouldn\u2019t vote for their first or second wives for president, and they\u2019re not going to vote for Hillary. Now, the headline — and the thing, I guess, that the USA Today reporterette here, Jill Lawrence, is focusing on — is ‘Clinton Lags in the Quest for Male Voters.\u2019 There\u2019s a reason for that. In fact, rather than just tell you what I said, let\u2019s go back and listen to what I said on October 4th of this year. This is audio sound bite number ten. This is from my own show. That means it was me speaking.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: The conventional wisdom is we hear about the gender gap, how Republicans can\u2019t get the female vote. I have pointed out for years that the dirty little secret of presidential politics is the white male vote. The Reagan Democrats, these are white southerners, they lost them and they\u2019ve been impugning them ever since, making fun of their religious beliefs; making fun of the fact they like NASCAR; making fun of the fact that they got gun racks in the back of pickup trucks; that they hang around in beer taverns in Tennessee at midnight on Friday night and laugh at Barack Obama commercials or Harold Ford commercials. They\u2019ve lost \u2019em. They\u2019ve been desperately trying to get them back in their weird way.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The bottom line here is that if you do not get the male vote, you don\u2019t win the presidency, folks. All this talk about the ‘gender gap,\u2019 you go back and they say, ‘You gotta get the women vote! The Clintons are going after the single vote.\u2019 Is it single, unmarried women this year? I forget what group it is. They\u2019re always going after some new group of women, soccer moms, you name it. But if you don\u2019t get the majority of men, you don\u2019t win the presidency. It\u2019s just that simple. This is not a sexist or gender-oriented statement. I\u2019m just giving you the data from election returns. Let\u2019s skip number 11 and let\u2019s go to Anderson Cooper 180 last night on CNN. He was talking with the reporterette Gloria Borger, and Cooper said — it\u2019s an unreal sound bite here. They\u2019re talking about the Clintons. He said, ‘Doesn\u2019t it so raise the issue of two-for-one again? Are you getting Bill and Hillary? What exactly is — how are they going to rule?\u2019 Anderson Cooper\u2019s question of Gloria Borger: ‘How are the Clintons going to rule? Is this really some sort of partnership?\u2019<\/p>\n

BORGER: I think it does raise the issue, and I think in the Democratic primary contest, it\u2019s a good thing to get two-for-one. In a general election, uh, not so much.<\/p>\n

RUSH: ‘How are the Clintons going to rule?\u2019 I guess there\u2019s no problem if the Clintons rule. By the way, remember the hippie museum, the Woodstock museum that had an earmark in it, Schumer and Clinton put this earmark in there, and they stripped the earmark out? This is from The Hill. Headline: ‘Door is Left Open for N.Y. ‘Hippie Museum\u2019 Cash — Funding for a controversial ‘Hippie museum,\u2019 co-sponsored by presidential front-runner Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.), may still find a lifeline even though its earmark was stricken from a Senate appropriations bill earlier this year. A conference report of two combined appropriations bills — Labor, Health and Human Services and Education (Labor-HHS) and the military construction-veterans\u2019 affairs measure — removed a provision that would have explicitly cut funds for the museum, located in Bethel, N.Y. That clause was authored by earmark foe Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.).\u2019 So, they\u2019re going to get it, just like Corzine has told the people of New Jersey (paraphrased): ‘Screw you! We\u2019re going to build this stem cell research center! You didn\u2019t understand the vote, to hell with it,\u2019 then we\u2019re going to get this hippie museum. Mrs. Clinton is trying to say she\u2019s an agent of change, and wants to look forward.
