CALLER: My goodness, Rush, such an honor to be on with you, my friend.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You say just about everything that I want to say and everybody else wants to say out there, so I\u2019m going to really try to keep to my points here, why Hillary is the wrong woman. I mean, it goes on, and on, and on. I think that — you know how everything with these guys has been a machine? I knew people in northwest Louisiana, and I caught the Bill and Hillary act. Now I live in New York, and they trailed me up to then. They just run everything so perfectly. They\u2019ve got so many people from the press they\u2019ve hired into the campaign. They keep a lid on everything. They attack anybody that comes after them, and so we got a little steam release from the pressure cooker last night. I really believe that at some point it\u2019s just going to start exploding in her face. You can\u2019t have it so perfect, so under control, be so scripted for so many years, and expect people to just continue to buy into it for so long. <\/p>\n

RUSH: There\u2019s one way you can.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah?<\/p>\n

RUSH: And that\u2019s if the Drive-Bys help you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, they do the shilling for her. There\u2019s no media out there, really, save yours and a few others, such as Fox, yeah, let\u2019s go ahead and say that, you know, because they are basically doing the Democrat Party\u2019s work. They are propaganda —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I understand that. But you\u2019re saying here that you think the press is going to eventually go full bore into her and this intricate Clinton, Inc., this war room that keeps everything hidden, all the controversy just runs, is a well-oiled machine, it\u2019s going to blow up in their faces. And the only way it can happen is if the Drive-Bys decide they\u2019re going to stop covering for them.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, and that\u2019s true. And here\u2019s how that may begin to happen. And you are so right, because there are entr&eacute;es by Edwards, there are entr&eacute;es last night by Obama, they could have gone for the jugular, they backed off, they soft-pedaled, I don\u2019t know what their problem is, you know, they\u2019re playing second fiddle, who knows, but maybe —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, there is a lot of that. I think they\u2019re playing second fiddle. But I don\u2019t think they want it real bad. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re not competent anyway. They\u2019re not presidential, nobody on that stage is presidential. Hillary looks presidential by default.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t even think she looks presidential, but she\u2019s got this aura of inevitability about her. You know, it\u2019s wishful thinking to think that the Clinton, Inc., war room is going to blow up on them and that the lid is going to come off and they\u2019re going to be unable to contain the damage. That\u2019s going to have to happen soon, because once she\u2019s the nominee and once the Republicans have a nominee, the Drive-Bys are going to be on a search-and-destroy mission of the Republican nominee, and that will go hand-in-hand with protecting and keeping the lid on this explosion you seem to think is going to happen at the Clinton war room.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think there\u2019s a possibility, you know, and that\u2019s the only thing, is I think it\u2019s a possibility, if Obama, let\u2019s say, starts to move up in the polls —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ain\u2019t going to happen.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to happen?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you know, unfortunately, I think you\u2019re right. I don\u2019t like to think in terms of you being right in that regard. About everything else, yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, what do you want to see Obama — you hope he comes alive and then what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, it would just be nice, first of all, for the Republicans if Hillary does get the nomination. But it would be nice if he were to move up and make it more of a battle instead of staying stuck at about 20% out there, which the media is reporting — so —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You are perceptive, but you don\u2019t know it. This is why you need me to explain how perceptive you are. Let\u2019s take your points. Your primary point was that the Clinton war room lid is going to blow, that nothing can remain this well-oiled and run this smoothly without a breakdown at some point. It\u2019s been running this way since 1992. Actually, from the late eighties, and it hadn\u2019t blown up on them. You say, just law of averages, it has to. The only way it can happen is if the press deserts \u2019em. So last night, we had Russert with some pretty penetrating questions that Hillary, Inc., is upset with him. The others didn\u2019t jam in there and try to make ground. But the press, this is where your perception comes in, the press gets very bored. The press wants excitement. So right now they can write their reports about scathing, blistering, withering attacks. They\u2019re writing this stuff to amuse themselves. <\/p>\n

They want to see this just because they want some action. It\u2019s just like the entertainment press, every year after the Academy Awards or the MTV Music Awards, if the F-word isn\u2019t bombed from stage ten or 12 times, the entertainment media writes what a boring show it was. If there aren\u2019t a couple of political protests or streakers, then they write about what a boring show it was. The Democrat primaries are boring to the Drive-Bys that have to cover \u2019em. So you might see in the next three months the Drive-Bys try to do something that creates some excitement just for themselves, but it ain\u2019t going to blow the lid off the Clinton war room. The Clintons are going to have to do that themselves, and when the Republicans get a nominee, the Clintons get a free ride. You watch.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
