CALLER: How you doing, Rush?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Good, sir. Thanks much.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I only have a second, but my comment is, if Hillary Clinton is elected president, I think everybody\u2019s worried about ideology and not personality. She\u2019s going to have to the chance to be the only woman president of the United States. And we don\u2019t remember weakness. (Unintelligible) foreign conflicts with her at the helm than we ever will with the Republicans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We don\u2019t remember weakness? What are you saying, that she\u2019s going to be sending the military all over the place?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Absolutely. History remembers conquerors, it doesn\u2019t remember peacemakers, and I think the Democrats look at —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait a second. Wait, wait, wait, wait. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Would you call Winston Churchill a conqueror, or FDR a conqueror?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, they defeated an enemy.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They defeated an enemy, but I mean the conquerors, it was Hitler trying to conquer Europe. We weren\u2019t trying to conquer, we were trying to liberate. But nevertheless it\u2019s an interesting theory, that Mrs. Clinton as a girl — ahem — will have to prove that she\u2019s not a girl, that she will be willing to use the military and send it all over the place. I think she might deploy the military quite a bit. My guess is would be more like Clinton, her husband, did for Meals on Wheels programs, 15,000 feet, you know, this kind of stuff. It\u2019s hard to say because it\u2019s impossible to predict the future. But you do sound concerned about this, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you know, Margaret Thatcher\u2019s not remembered for being a nice lady, but she did go to war over a couple of rocks off (unintelligible) Argentina.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you know, Margaret Thatcher is not remembered for what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: What do you mean?<\/p>\n

RUSH: You said Margaret Thatcher\u2019s not remembered for…?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I mean, people in my age-group, 38 and whatever, remember that Margaret Thatcher took England to war over the Falklands. I think Hillary is going to be remembered as the woman president who didn\u2019t take anything off the world.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, it really, really bothers me when Margaret Thatcher, a true stateswoman, a genuinely solid and brilliant person, is compared to Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, me, too. Don\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019m —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, but you just did.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — very pro-Republican.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You just did it, I was in a good mood and you sickened me. (laughing)<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m sorry, sir, but, you know, I\u2019m a police officer, I worked the street for 14 years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah?<\/p>\n

CALLER: And one of the traits that I think most beat cops in big cities get is we can look at somebody and tell before it happens whether or not they\u2019re going to fight. And when I look at Hillary Clinton — and the biggest irony of this is her party thinks she\u2019s going to be the bringer of peace, and I think she\u2019s going to be the harbinger of doom, and for no other reason the people —<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, now I understand what you\u2019re saying. Now I finally understand what you\u2019re saying. What you\u2019re saying is the woman is a witch. You\u2019re saying the woman is Nurse Ratched. We know how Nurse Ratched behaved with the mental patients in that institution. Look, she\u2019s the architect of the Clinton war room. She\u2019s got a lot of experience, 35 years of experience destroying her husband\u2019s political opponents, primarily the bimbos that erupted or were about to erupt. So I can see where you\u2019re thinking this. But here\u2019s the thing, when you compare Hillary to Margaret Thatcher, Margaret Thatcher was called the Iron Lady long before she invaded the Falklands. Margaret Thatcher was resolute. Margaret Thatcher was not a mystery. Margaret Thatcher did not speak in platitudes. Margaret Thatcher did not speak in clich&eacute;s and endless phrases. Mrs. Clinton does just the opposite. We don\u2019t get one thing solid. We don\u2019t know, based on what she says about herself, who she really is. We think we know who she is, and that she is trying to hide those aspects of her personality. But I can see where you might think that Mrs. Clinton would in fact want to be a conqueror, and I think she would conquer — or try to conquer — the red states in this country first.<\/line> <\/line> BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/line> <\/line> RUSH: You know that guy might have had a point out there. Remember how the Clintons were all upset after the 9\/11 attacks, that it hadn\u2019t happened on their watch? Clinton supporters had said this. Missing the opportunity for a great legacy.<\/line><\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: We had a call in the last hour from a guy worried, a 14-year cop working the streets, and he had an interesting point of view about Mrs. Clinton. He said, ‘You know, I\u2019m really concerned that she\u2019s going to be deploying the military everywhere once she becomes president,\u2019 and started comparing her to Margaret Thatcher and the Falklands war and so forth. I sort of interceded at that comparison, but his point was, is that it is war that provides legacy. Peacemakers are not well known in history. Of course, some of them are, I don\u2019t know how well they made peace, but supposed people of peace, Mother Teresa is well known, and Mahatma Gandhi is well known. But he got me to thinking he may have had a point. You remember after 9\/11, a bunch of Clinton supporters — and I think Clinton even himself on one occasion — were jealous that 9\/11 happened on Bush\u2019s watch because it denied them an opportunity for greatness and that the Clintons did learn that lesson, that war creates legacy. <\/p>\n

So you might say, ‘Well, okay, Rush, you know it all; why didn\u2019t Bosnia give Clinton that legacy?\u2019 Well, because there was no valor in the Bosnian war. Besides it wasn\u2019t really us, it was NATO. It was fought from 15,000 feet, plus there was very little media coverage of the Bosnia war, plus there was no victory that could actually be proclaimed there. But the point is that Clinton may have been trying it for that reason. Both he and Hillary do have this point to prove, you know, Clinton is loathe the military letter, and Hillary with some of her comments that she\u2019s made during the presidential campaign about the military and about Iraq and about the war in a general. They may have a point to prove for the historians that they were tough and were unafraid to use the military.
