I was in Miami yesterday. I was a guest to Wayne Huizenga for the Patriots and Dolphins in his box down there. There were a bunch of military personnel sitting in specially constructed seats down in the end zone. Mr. Huizenga has one of the nicest places to watch a football game. We went down to the field before the game and talked to the Patriots owner, Bob Kraft, for a while. I\u2019ve met him a couple times. He lives here in Palm Beach in the wintertime, just a lovable little guy. I had a lot of fun with him. He\u2019s a prince of a guy. So is Wayne Huizenga, just nice guys. I have pictures of it to prove it. Left \u2019em at home, but I\u2019ve got pictures to prove it. At any rate, they brought these military guys. They were from an Air Force wing, did a flyover before the game, F-15s. I tell you, every time I see one of those and hear one of those, it\u2019s just spine tingling. <\/p>\n

Anyway, they brought these guys up. There must have been about 10 or 15 of them that were seated in the end zone. When they got up there, I made it a point to go up and talk to them, and they were traditional military people. You could not find better examples of American citizens than these guys that were brought up, and they were all very nice to me, naturally, they would be, as I\u2019m one of their largest supporters, as they know. <\/p>\n

There was one Army guy among them. I had seen something in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday that I thought was funny as it could be, because you know there\u2019s inter-service rivalries. These guys compete against each other and make jokes about each other. It\u2019s a special fraternity being the US military, even the inter-service rivalries. So I ran up to this Army guy and I said, ‘I gotta tell you this. I gotta tell you what I read in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday, just this little quote. ‘In Fallujah, enlisted Marines have complained to an officer, ‘There\u2019s nobody to shoot here, sir. They\u2019re all gone. If it\u2019s just going to be building schools and hospitals, that\u2019s what the Army\u2019s for, isn\u2019t it?” (laughter) He laughed and started telling some Marine jokes. (laughter) But it was a great time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
