RUSH: Here we go again. Looky here, this is BuzzFeed. “Midwestern Democrats Want The National Party To Stop The Trump-Russia Talk<\/a> — ‘The only ones who want to do this are Democratic activists who are already voting Democratic.'” That\u2019s a subheadline.<\/p>\n

“The Democratic National Committee\u2019s drumbeat of messaging on Trump and his relationship with Russia is wearing thin with some Democrats in purple states \u2014 particularly in the Midwest, where people on the ground say voters are uninterested and even turned off by the issue.”<\/p>\n

Why do you think that might be? Why do you think even some Democrat voters might be turned off by this? Because there\u2019s nothing there. They have been beaten upside the head. They have been beaten over the head for a year and a half that Trump was in collusion with Russia! There isn\u2019t any evidence! People are fed up with it. Doesn\u2019t matter. It doesn\u2019t matter. The left doesn\u2019t care who gets mad, who gets destroyed, who gets harmed. It doesn\u2019t matter.<\/p>\n

But local Democrats are begging the national people to get off of this! And Dingy Harry stepped out of his retirement coffin, said, “Stop all this impeachment talk.” A number of Democrats, “Please stop this the impeachment talk. There isn\u2019t an impeachable offense yet!” Does that even matter? The media says there is. The media says Trump\u2019s presidency is impeachable because Trump won!<\/p>\n

\"\"That is such an affront to everybody\u2019s sensibilities. Trump is instantly impeachable because he won, because it was unexpected, because somebody like that just can\u2019t be president, not in our world. There\u2019s no rational thinking to this. And there\u2019s no reason to it. And to try to analyze it and understand it in those terms would be a failure. But the people that have to win elections are starting to get nervous, and they\u2019re not seeing a big blue wave if these national leftist freaks don\u2019t start shutting up.<\/p>\n

RUSH:\u00a0 Breitbart just had a story just out. “Exclusive: Poll…” In fact, who is the pollster? The poll is from McLaughlin & Associates and Dick Morris, former Clinton pollster.\u00a0 “Poll Shows Americans Side with Trump over Mueller Probe<\/a> — A national poll conducted of 1,000 likely voters … shows support for President Trump and suspicion of the investigation of … Robert Mueller. By a margin of 51% to 33%, voters do not believe Mueller has found ‘real evidence of corruption by the president.'”<\/p>\n

Bingo!\u00a0 Now, two things about this.\u00a0 I think it dovetails with the internal polling of the Democrat Party.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been chronicling with you for the past week how Democrats are urging candidates to get off of this, to stop talking about it, and it had to be because their internal polling numbers on this were so bad.\u00a0 The Mueller investigation… We know it\u2019s also bombed out because they\u2019ve now gone on to the Cohen. They\u2019re going any direction they can.<\/p>\n

They can\u2019t find evidence of Trump collusion.\u00a0 My friends, it was never about that.\u00a0 I want you to hear me.\u00a0 It was never about proving that Trump colluded.\u00a0 Now, some of these people… It\u2019s a toughie here, because some of these people on the left may be deranged enough to actually think that Trump colluded and cheated and that\u2019s why they lost.\u00a0 But there are enough radical leftists who know the truth here.\u00a0 It was Hillary that colluded, producing an opposition research document.\u00a0 They got a FISA warrant.<\/p>\n

Everybody\u2019s known that the Obama DOJ, FBI, CIA has been doing everything it can to stop Trump\u2019s election, to make sure Hillary got elected for a number of reasons.\u00a0 A, to shield Obama from any legal action that might take place, by shielding Hillary from any legal action.\u00a0 But the fact is there hasn\u2019t been any evidence. There isn\u2019t gonna be any evidence.\u00a0 It\u2019s all been a gigantic effort to move public opinion on Trump down.\u00a0 They wanted his approval numbers in the thirties, and if they can get it into the high twenties, that would be nirvana.<\/p>\n

Because when that happens, they can get rid of Trump.\u00a0 You cannot force a president out of office unless the American people want him gone, and they had to make the American people want Trump gone.\u00a0 They have failed in every attempt they have made to do this.\u00a0 But the danger is… In addition to what they\u2019re doing, the danger is what they are destroying in the process — and how at each juncture they fail, they mount a new assault that corrupts a new area, a new line of attack.<\/p>\n

They are leaving a trail of destruction throughout our politics and our culture and our society.\u00a0 And I worry, where does this stop?\u00a0 Because it isn\u2019t going to stop.\u00a0 I don\u2019t care what happens in the midterms. If the Republicans hold the House or if the Democrats take it, this effort is not going to stop.\u00a0 It is going to continue.\u00a0 They simply cannot abide Donald Trump in the White House.\u00a0 Even if what they do dooms their electoral chances in 2020, they still will not stop.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t tell Steve Scalise that the resistance hasn\u2019t yet gotten violent, because it has in a couple of key three or four places.\u00a0 So more Americans are waking up and seeing that Mueller hasn\u2019t produced anything, that there isn\u2019t any evidence — and you can totally understand this. Because the American people have gotten up every day, and they have literally been beat up upside the head, on top of the head five, 10, 25 minutes a day.
