CALLER: Oh, my gosh, my hero. Hi. It\u2019s a privilege to talk to you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m so nervous.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, you do sound nervous.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, my gosh.<\/p>\n

RUSH: We need to do something about that. Are you married, do you have a boyfriend?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, I\u2019ve been married for almost 30 years.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Do you still love your husband?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I do.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s unique and great. I want you to pretend that instead of talking to me on the phone, that your husband is rubbing your back with a mink glove. <\/p>\n

CALLER: (giggling)<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s how much you\u2019re going to enjoy this. And you\u2019re going to want to do it over and over and over again once you finish the first time.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right?<\/p>\n

CALLER: All right. The point I wanted to make is that Harry Reid is taking the Democrat Party and he\u2019s running it like a theocracy, and he\u2019s actually issuing a fatwa on the Congress floor against you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I just think it\u2019s disgusting.<\/p>\n

RUSH: A fatwa. I hadn\u2019t looked at it that way. It\u2019s clear, is it not, Kathy, that I have become their number-one target? They\u2019re running against me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, they are. That\u2019s how scared they are.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m not even on the ballot. And, see, you know, it\u2019s interesting. Even though I\u2019m not on the ballot, why do they run against me? Because this program, and you, and the audience, we exist in the arena of ideas.<\/p>\n

CALLER: We think. Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They don\u2019t. They don\u2019t want to play in the arena of ideas. They want to shut up opposition.<\/p>\n

CALLER: There was another point I wanted to make.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I wish you would join the presidential race, not to run for president, but just to debate, because you\u2019re a great debater, and people who have been told and they don\u2019t know who you are, they would be able to actually see and hear you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I know. The problem is I would win the nomination.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know! (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Without having to spend a dime, and then I\u2019d have to run, and then I\u2019d lose the show, and I probably would be elected president and have to take a pay cut.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah. (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: None of that do I want.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (laughing) But you\u2019re great. Oh, my gosh, I love you. You\u2019ve been my teacher, and I am so shy, I can\u2019t believe I even called in. It took me over an hour to get through.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, you did.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I just had to make the point.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And you did great.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, thanks.<\/p>\n

He wanted this to be another condemnation of me in both houses just like Petraeus\u2019s ad was. Didn\u2019t happen. The Democrats have yet to offer the resolution in the House. He only got 41 senators, not even all the Democrats, to sign his letter to the Clear Channel CEO. This is another Harry Reid failure. Now I might not get censured, as Ken Salazar wants.
