RUSH: You know when I was talking about this loophole and the kids coming in from Honduras, El Salvador, Central America, and the Obama administration basically grabbing them after they had made it across the border and then dispersing them to left-wing Democrat families all over the country? I had this nagging memory that I had discussed all this before.<\/p>\n

So I decided to go back to RushLimbaugh.com. And, boy, did I. July 25th, 2014. So we\u2019re talking four years ago, five years ago. And when this program started in 2014, I called it. And I remember when I found this from the archives at RushLimbaugh.com, the headline of this segment: “Barack Obama: Coyote-in-Chief<\/a>.” And here\u2019s what I said…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>“I should have seen it. It was right in front of my face and you know why it didn\u2019t occur to me? It\u2019s because it\u2019s so outrageous. President Barack Obama, it is said, is considering the idea of granting refugee status to the children of Honduras. Now, that I predicted. That\u2019s not what I missed. We all knew that was coming. I mean, ever since we began hearing the term ‘migrant\u2019 and ‘refugees,\u2019 as opposed to illegal alien, illegal immigrant. We knew that was coming.<\/p>\n

“What I didn\u2019t foresee, Obama is going to send U.S. officials to Honduras and okay them as refugees and then use taxpayer dollars to fly them to America so they don\u2019t have to catch the death train and go through Mexico. We\u2019re gonna cut out the middleman. We\u2019re gonna cut out the coyotes. We\u2019re just gonna bring them here as refugees. We are going to facilitate. We\u2019re actually going to provide the transportation mechanism for what are illegal immigrants to cross the border. It\u2019s going to be done with an executive order. There\u2019s no way any of it can be stopped.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s being done under the guise –” and remember, this is me, reading from my transcript from July 25th, 2014. “It\u2019s being done under the guise, ladies and gentlemen, of reducing the flow of migrants, but instead it\u2019s going to have \u2014 and this is what Obama knows \u2014 the exact opposite effect. It\u2019s going to be a magnet. And it\u2019s just a pilot program. It\u2019s just Honduras. If it goes well in Honduras, then they\u2019re gonna go do it in El Salvador. And if it goes well in El Salvador, then they\u2019re gonna go to Guatemala. And it\u2019s not gonna go badly. How could it?”<\/p>\n

And I remember this, when I did the keyword search at RushLimbaugh.com, this all came flowing back. And I will never forget this bit of news we stumbled across that Obama was actually going to send U.S. officials to Honduras and sort of preselect or preauthorize refugees and just fly them here since the loophole existed.<\/p>\n

And remember when this first started, they called these trains with all these kids on them death trains because the news now and then contained reports of some of these kids dying. July 25th here. It\u2019s hot. The trains are not air-conditioned. They\u2019re basically freight trains. These are not souped-up passenger liners. And these kids were being sardined on these trains by their parents. So this was seen as a compassionate thing to do, since the thinking was they\u2019re going to come anyway. Why, we may as well just facilitate it.<\/p>\n

Now, again, this is 2014. I don\u2019t know if this pilot program actually was implemented for more than just this one year. And I don\u2019t remember the extent to which this program was implemented and how successful, quote, unquote, that it was. But essentially we were gonna send U.S. officials to Honduras, which is where this caravan is largely from, by the way, this current caravan.<\/p>\n

“You go to Honduras, you send some Regime officials down there, you basically stamp a purple thing on each kid\u2019s hand and put \u2019em on the airplane and send \u2019em here. In order to this, they will produce research, eyewitness accounts, whatever it takes, they\u2019ll produce research that, quote, unquote, proves beyond a shadow all of a doubt that every child is escaping poverty, violence, war-torn countryside, abusive fathers, whatever it takes to qualify them as refugees.”<\/p>\n

The objective was to make sure the term “illegal immigrant” was not attached. And by and large, if you look at the media coverage of this caravan, you don\u2019t see the word “illegal” or “immigrant.” You see “migrants” and “refugees,” by design.<\/p>\n

“The New York Times has the story and they\u2019re all giddy. They can\u2019t contain themselves, they\u2019re so excited. What I didn\u2019t foresee, and I\u2019m embarrassed, these people, they\u2019re always steps ahead. I did not foresee that the Regime would just go down there and assume the role of coyote.”<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And, you know, I remember I thought I would catch hell for pointing that out. To accuse a presidential administration of acting as coyotes, I thought I would catch hell for it, but I didn\u2019t. But Obama was using Border Patrol and ICE and others to facilitate and make it happen. The New York Times story began thus: “‘Hoping to stem the recent surge of migrants at the Southwest border, the Obama administration is considering whether to allow hundreds of minors and young adults from Honduras into the United States without making the dangerous trek through Mexico, according to a draft of the proposal.\u2019 This is not in any way hoping to stem the surge. They\u2019re hoping this will increase the surge.”<\/p>\n

So, again, I don\u2019t know beyond 2014 what became of that. On the modern-day end of this, the AP has a story, “Trump Administration Seeks to Close Immigration Loopholes<\/a> — The Trump administration said that they were crafting a new legislative package aimed at closing immigration loopholes following Trump\u2019s call for Republican lawmakers to immediately pass a border bill using the nuclear option if necessary to muscle it through.”<\/p>\n

Now, the AP, this is hilarious. The AP objects to the use of the term “loophole.” But when they\u2019re talking about tax law, they love to use “loophole” all the time, talking about loopholes that allow the rich to avoid paying taxes. There are no loopholes in the tax law. There is simply tax law that people can use and take advantage of. This is an actual loophole! This is something that as apart and beyond every other day normal immigration law and policy. And nobody can explain why it\u2019s there.<\/p>\n

We just played the sound bite of Trump saying, “As ridiculous as it sounds, the laws of our country do not easily allow us to send those crossing our southern border back where they came from. A whole big, wasted procedure has to take place. Mexico and Canada have tough immigration laws, whereas ours are an Obama joke.”<\/p>\n

He went on a tweet storm about this. And that\u2019s why there\u2019s a lot of attention being focused on it, because, folks, it is what it\u2019s always been. It remains the number one weapon in the left\u2019s arsenal for cracking, attacking, diluting American culture, the distinct American culture, our set of traditions and institutions and values, by flooding the country, over time, with people who are not interested in assimilating, who can\u2019t speak the language, and don\u2019t even know what these distinct traditions and cultures are.<\/p>\n

In fact, many native Americans don\u2019t either, anymore, as evidenced by NPR\u2019s attempt to explain Easter. <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
