RUSH: There\u2019s a funny, I think it\u2019s a funny story here at Reuters<\/a>. The ChiCom leadership, through one of their state-controlled newspapers, has a story today saying that we, the United States, should learn from the ChiComs and restrict guns and protect people\u2019s rights.<\/p>\n

Now, in a properly educated United States of America, this would be one of the laugh riot stories of the day. If we had a proper educational understanding and curriculum teaching communism and teaching socialism, this would be one of the biggest laugh stories of the day. But, sadly, we have just the opposite.<\/p>\n

I saw a poll the other day, nearly 70% of Millennials think they are socialists, and they are big believers in socialism, because they don\u2019t really know what it means. Socialism, to them, does involve the Big Government, but it only does good things. It protects people and it feeds people and it shields people. And socialism means that we\u2019re all part of one really cool society. They have no idea what socialism is.<\/p>\n

\"\"In an economic sense, people are not taught any more where socialism leads, that it\u2019s just a feeder ideology for communism. And so it\u2019s been romanticized. And so here we have the leaders of communist China, the leaders of Red China, the ChiComs, publishing in one of their state-controlled newspapers and eagerly picked up by Reuters that the U.S. has a lot to learn from the ChiComs.<\/p>\n

Restrict guns and protect rights. The Chinese government not only restricts guns, they restrict rights. They restrict and prohibit religious freedom. There is no freedom of speech in China. There is nothing akin to the freedoms we enjoy in the United States. But because of the woeful state of public and even higher education, I dare say that a shockingly large percentage of Americans, particularly children, have no idea and maybe think that we do have something to learn from the ChiComs.<\/p>\n

The idea that a communist government would be advocating taking guns away from people, that alone should raise cautionary flags to everybody. But I sadly think that most young people are gonna say, “Yeah, man. The ChiComs, they\u2019ve got it right. Take everybody\u2019s guns away, and then nobody will get hurt, and nobody will suffer, and nobody will die, and it will be utopia. It will be better.” That\u2019s what they think. Why? It\u2019s what they\u2019ve been taught. That\u2019s how they have been conditioned, indoctrinated, and propagandized.<\/p>\n

“The United States should learn from China and ‘genuinely\u2019 protect human rights by restricting gun ownership, an editorial in a widely read state-run Chinese newspaper said on Friday. The editorial in the Global Times newspaper was published after a massacre at a high school in Florida last week.”<\/p>\n

The Global Times said, “Washington has been pointing an accusing finger at other countries over human rights … However, more Americans have been killed by gunfire in the country than American soldiers being killed in all U.S. wars.” Maybe. I don\u2019t know. But more people are killed by knives every year than guns. Do you know that? You know how many people die every year from knives?<\/p>\n

See, people are smirking already. “You\u2019re missing the point, Mr. Limbaugh. This is not about knives. It\u2019s about guns.” No, I thought it was about death. I thought it was about death. “No, Mr. Limbaugh, it\u2019s about guns.” Yes. I understand now. Two-hundred-fifty-thousand people lose their lives to knives in America every year. And the vast majority, like 70% of gun deaths in America are due to what? Suicide. Suicide claims 70% of gun lives in America every year.<\/p>\n

\"\"I dare say if you want to kill yourself with a gun and even if guns are not legal, you\u2019re gonna find a way, and if you can\u2019t, use a knife. But that\u2019s exactly what we need, to take advice from the ChiComs, a communist country, on how to promote civil liberties and freedoms. As I say, that should be the biggest laughingstock. People educated in America should know from the get-go what a joke that story is. Sadly, they don\u2019t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
