RUSH: Another huge See, I Told You So. We had a discussion yesterday, somebody called and I forget what the question was, but we entered into a discussion on Iraq and the Democrats, and why it is that all of a sudden the Democrats are trying to change their tune. All these Drive-By Media outlets now suggest, ‘Oh, we can\u2019t get out of Iraq, oh, of course not, why, we can\u2019t pull out of there real fast.\u2019 New York Times offering cover to the Democrats, not just the presidential candidates, but also people like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who have already proclaimed defeat. So I threw out a hypothetical yesterday. I said, ‘Suppose this happens. Suppose this report that Petraeus presents in the middle of September, says, you know what, we can do with less troops here. We can do with fewer boots on the ground in some of these areas, because the surge is really working.\u2019 What next? What do the Democrats do next? <\/p>\n

I\u2019m telling you that what is happening right now, the Drive-By Media, working in concert with the Democrats, are trying to get them back off the cliff and get them oriented to supporting the war by the end of the year, November, December, that\u2019s when the electoral season begins. Make no mistake about it, they\u2019re trying to bring \u2019em back. Adults somewhere in the liberal apparatus have recognized the Democrats had nowhere to go but over the cliff to total McGovernization and destruction by proclaiming and investing in the defeat of US troops. Well, lo and behold, LA Times today has a story saying that General Petraeus is expected to recommend removing American troops soon from several areas where commanders believe security has improved, possibly including al-Anbar province. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what I mean when I say I\u2019m on the cutting edge of societal evolution, and if you listen to this program, you are, too.
