He was groundskeeper for the Kansas City Royals, Kansas City Chiefs when I worked for the Royals in the late seventies through the early eighties. I saw George at the Super Bowl in Atlanta. During the pregame I\u2019m upstairs in the press box. I look down and there\u2019s George Toma, the head honcho of the whole ground crew, and he\u2019s on his hands and knees. I\u2019m up pretty high, I can\u2019t see him, he\u2019s on his hands and knees, traipsing the Buffalo Bills bench area. The Bills are out there, and they\u2019re throwing &#8212; it\u2019s a pregame. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125108.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"204\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignleft\"\/>So I went down to the field with Steve Sabol of NFL Films, I went up to George, &#8216;What are you doing?\u2019 He said, &#8216;The Super Bowl.\u2019 It was artificial turf at the time. He had duct tape on his hands and his knees, and he was getting lint off the field, lint, that no TV camera would ever see. It wasn\u2019t high definition back then. I said, &#8216;What does it matter?\u2019 He said, &#8216;We always do everything we can, and then a little more.\u2019 The guiding principle of the EIB Network. <\/p>\n<p>A friend of mine just sent me a quote from Eric Hoffer. Eric Hoffer was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, February \u201983 by President Reagan. My friend said, &#8216;I was reminded of this quote listening to your brilliant monologue on the Democrats and how they are portraying this country around the world.\u2019 The quote from Eric Hoffer is this: &#8216;There is a tendency to judge a race, a nation, or any distinct group by its least worthy members. Though manifestly unfair, this tendency has some justification, for the character and destiny of a group are often determined by its inferior elements.\u2019 Now, I don\u2019t want to be grouped with the Democrats. I don\u2019t want people around the world thinking that I\u2019m one of them. I don\u2019t want people around the world thinking I\u2019m one of them or their supporters or these fringe leftists. <\/p>\n<p>They are giving the country a bad name. They are giving the world an entirely different perspective of what this country is really all about. They single-handedly are doing it. They are costing the country big time. They are making victory more difficult, they are doing it on purpose, and we\u2019re paying a price in a number of ways. We keep hearing about America\u2019s image in the world. What pray tell, who pray tell, is really responsible for that? To the extent that this country looks like it\u2019s out of control and malaise, to the extent that the people of this world think that we have our own Adolf Hitler running the show here, who is responsible for this impression? Because the characterization of George W. Bush and the characterization of the greatness of this country are not theirs. Their characterizations are this is a country on its last legs, soup line America, we\u2019ve got Hitler running our country.
