CALLER: Thanks, Rush. First, I just want to mention, I voted for Obama twice, and then I\u2019m a big Trump guy now. When the Democratic pollster asked me why I\u2019m voting for Trump, he didn\u2019t know I voted for Obama and he called me a racist. Isn\u2019t that amazing? But anyway —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now, wait, wait, hold it. I\u2019m not gonna take away from the time that you called to talk about your primary point, but how does that happen? A pollster called you a racist while you\u2019re being polled on the phone?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, I was walking down the street, and he had Democratic buttons on and everything, and he said, “Who you votin\u2019 for?” And I said, “I\u2019m voting for Trump.” He —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wait, wait, wait. Hold it a moment. What street are you walking down, where were you walking, where were you going, how\u2019d they find you?<\/p>\n
CALLER: It was in Virginia. I wasn\u2019t in New York. I live in New York. But it was in Virginia. And he didn\u2019t know I voted for Obama twice. And then, you know, he walked away from me, turned back and called me a racist. But, anyway, and that\u2019s not the reason I called, though.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I know. And I\u2019m not gonna take your time… Wait a minute, now. If we have to hold you through the break, which we\u2019re gonna have to do, I\u2019m not gonna deprive you of talking about what you want to talk about. This is intriguing. You\u2019re walking down the street, you\u2019re minding your own business in a state you don\u2019t even live in, and some guy comes up, convinces you he\u2019s a pollster, starts asking you questions. Where were you walking? Were you downtown? Were you walking in your home area? Where were you?<\/p>\n
CALLER: I was in my son\u2019s house. I was visiting my son.<\/p>\n
RUSH: So you\u2019re walking in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Just out walking for the sake of walking. You\u2019re not going anywhere; you\u2019re just taking a stroll?<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah. I was with my son, in fact, and —<\/p>\n
RUSH: All right. Hang on. Hang on. Hang on. I\u2019m just… We thought polling… I didn\u2019t know it was done this way.<\/p>\n
BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n
RUSH: Now we\u2019re back with Frank in Queens, who is home from Virginia where he was recently walking with his son in the neighborhood and he was accosted by a pollster. Did he tell you what polling firm he was representing?<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, no, Rush. This was before the election this happened. This happened before the election.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, I understand that. So you don\u2019t know if it was Reuters —<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, I don\u2019t know what it was. He was a Democratic pollster. He had a clipboard. I told him, “I\u2019m not voting for Obama (sic), I\u2019m voting for Trump,” and then he called me a racist, and then my son turned to me after and said, “Didn\u2019t you vote for Obama?” I said, “Yeah, two times.” But, anyway, I just wanted to point that out, this happens.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Wait just a second. (laughing) I know you\u2019re chomping at the bit to get to your other point.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: But this is a big deal. This is exactly why people lie to pollsters. This exactly why you have the Wilder Effect. This is why people lied to pollsters and told them they were voting for Doug Wilder. He was a black candidate for governor of Virginia \u2019cause they didn\u2019t want a pollster accusing of being a racist if they told \u2019em they weren\u2019t gonna vote. So you admitted you voted for Obama twice and now you were not gonna vote for Hillary, and the guy turns around and calls you a racist.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Yeah. He didn\u2019t know I voted for Obama twice. That was the silly part of it.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Even better.<\/p>\n
CALLER: He called me racist… Yeah, right. Right. Right.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Okay. So now —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Okay. Well, you know, I agree with you 100%.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Now. Hurry up. Only got 10 seconds here.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I agree with you about the fix being in for Hillary, but I still can\u2019t figure out why Comey did this thing at the end of the election where he did the Carlos Dangerfield (sic) stuff because that doesn\u2019t seem to, you know, go, you know, for Trump. I mean… I mean, for… You know what I\u2019m saying? That\u2019s like, why would he want to bring up that Carlos Dangerfield if the fix was in for Hillary at the end? I can\u2019t figure that out.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, I think because they were required to. They had come across… This, I actually think, was legit, and I think it scared them. Here\u2019s what Frank is talking about. This is the September, October 2016 when Comey went back to Congress and said they were reopening the Hillary email investigation. She had been exonerated back on July 5. They\u2019re reopening it because they found some of her emails on a computer Huma Abedin\u2019s husband, Carlos Danger, who had been engaging in “sext messaging” with young, teenage girls.<\/p>\n
And this all was about classified data being trafficked in, and if Huma is putting Hillary State Department classified emails on her husband\u2019s computer, then they went back and they had to report this to Congress. Now, they reported before they investigated and found that (miraculously) there was nothing to see, and so what old Frank here is asking is — as a former Obama voter — he wants to know why, if the fix was in, would they do that? Because that seemed to really have a negative impact on Hillary, and it certainly gave her an opening to use that as a reason why people turned away from her toward the end of the campaign.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t have an answer for you, Frank, within any context. I mean, if, for example, we assume that the FBI had the fix in for Hillary — which they did. I mean, Comey announces on July 5th that she\u2019s not gonna be prosecuted; she\u2019s exonerated. He told us that “no reasonable prosecutor” would ever pursue the case because she didn\u2019t intend to do anything that she did, and therefore getting a conviction would be impossible. That\u2019s bogus, but that\u2019s what he said. So she\u2019s cleared. That\u2019s July 5th.<\/p>\n

And then two months later we\u2019re back and we\u2019re reopening this thing. It happened on a Thursday or Friday, and all weekend, everybody was bzz bzz bzz bzz. Then Comey announces, “Sorry, we didn\u2019t find anything; it\u2019s all over.” Clinton: Big sigh of relief. But there were a lot of people angry. If the fix was in for Hillary, why do this? And I could only speculate until I get some more informed opinions from people who\u2019ve worked in jobs like this and find out what could have motivated this. Why do you think they did it?<\/p>\n
CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n
RUSH: Frank!<\/p>\n
CALLER: (silence)<\/p>\n
RUSH: Frank must have… He must have gone for a walk or something. Frank, are you still there?<\/p>\n
CALLER: (hum)<\/p>\n
RUSH: He must have believed me when I told him he only had 10 seconds. He might have hung up. Oh, well. I wanted to find out what he thought this was all about. Are you sure he\u2019s not there?<\/p>\n
