Under the premise that it\u2019s easier to get forgiveness than permission, I\u2019m disappointed that Vice President Cheney seemingly missed a golden opportunity, a two-hour window, as president of these United States, to turn Iraq into an ocean of glass.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: While President Bush was under the knife.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (Laughing.) &#8216;Easier to get forgiveness than permission.\u2019 (Laughing.)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I mean, there would have been plausible deniability on President Bush\u2019s standpoint &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; and he knew that the operation, the procedure was coming, so he could have planned, pre-positioned the generals.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, why not? Why are you disappointed about that? Why didn\u2019t you prefer that he take action against Iran?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I mean &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: &#8212; that could have been phase two.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: He could have done the first part in the first hour, made sure that that theater was blown away.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, look, funny thought, no chance of ever happening.
