RUSH: Okay. I have a question here, folks. A very simple question. If I wanted to eat dessert last night but I didn\u2019t, did I go off my diet? If I wanted to eat dessert last night but didn\u2019t, did I blow my diet?<\/p>\n

RUSH: If I wanted to fire Snerdley but I didn\u2019t, can I be investigated for obstructing justice? If I wanted to fire Snerdley but didn\u2019t, can he collect unemployment? If I wanted to fire Snerdley but didn\u2019t, does it make me a bad boss? And of course the answer to all these questions is “no.” Yet here we have legitimate… Stop and think. We have legitimate collusion — and we have even more evidence of it today — between the FBI, the Clinton campaign (Hillary Clinton specifically), the Russians, and the American intelligence agency.<\/p>\n

And the New York Times has a story today that Trump wanted to fire Mueller but was talked out of it. Actually, there are two variations of this story. The New York Times story says that Trump ordered his lawyer, Don McGahn, to fire Mueller, and McGahn said no way. The other version of the story is that Trump wanted to but was talked out of it and didn\u2019t. I don\u2019t have any doubt that he wanted to fire Mueller. Everybody\u2019s wanted him to fire Mueller! A lot of people been trying to figure out:<\/p>\n

“What the hell? Why do you sit there and let somebody that you can fire have open season on you, particularly when you haven\u2019t done anything.” Let\u2019s go back. Grab audio sound bite No. 1. This is me on this program. This is last June, June 13, 2017.<\/a> This was going around. This has been news for I don\u2019t know how long. There was speculation going on back last June. We\u2019re coming up, what, eight months ago, seven months ago that Trump wanted to fire Mueller, was thinking about firing Mueller, and this is what I, El Rushbo, had to say about it.<\/p>\n

RUSH ARCHIVE: So firing Mueller? The likelihood: Zilch, zero, nada. Would it bother me? No. Trump was sent there to drain the swamp. He was sent there to clean the place out. He was sent there to turn things upside down. And, by the way, he was sent there because he made it plane he wanted to do these things.<\/p>\n

RUSH: The New York Times story says it happened in June. You know what I think this is? I don\u2019t doubt that Trump wanted to fire Mueller, and I don\u2019t doubt that he was telling people that he wanted to fire Mueller. I have no idea whether he actually ordered Don McGahn to fire Mueller. That I don\u2019t know. But I don\u2019t see what the news story is. That\u2019s what I don\u2019t see. I mean, the story is Trump didn\u2019t! At the end of everything, Trump did not fire Mueller. Now, what are we gonna do?<\/p>\n

Are we gonna invoke the 25th Amendment on a guy because of what he wanted to do?<\/p>\n

Are we gonna take what he wanted to do and say it\u2019s a sign of instability and being unable to carry out\/discharge the duties of the gig? And, meanwhile, as I say, over here (laughing) we\u2019ve got daily more and more evidence produced of genuine collusion, which Mueller seems to have abandoned on the Trump side. We had genuine collusion between Hillary and the Democrats and the FBI. I mean, the continuing release of texts between Strzok and Lisa Page.<\/p>\n

The latest is that they were planning on going easy on Hillary during the email investigation! They were gonna go easy to Hillary because they thought she was gonna be elected president<\/a>, and they didn\u2019t want her knowing that they and others at the FBI may have been targeting her for investigations and worse. So they were scared to death. They were thinking, “Yeah, we better… We better ride herd on this one,” and they called their boss, some guy named Bill, and let him in on their thinking. And their business at the FBI, according to Strzok, agreed with \u2019em.<\/p>\n

The fix was in on Hillary anyway. We\u2019ve learned that from these texts that have been released. We\u2019ve learned the fix was in, that they were never gonna indict Hillary because they were protecting Obama! Any pursuit of Hillary would naturally require Obama to be forced to answer questions because the two of them were exchanging emails via her unclassified server, and he knew it. He lied. He said he didn\u2019t know anything about this \u2019til he saw it in the news.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
