CALLER: Yes, good morning, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Dittos from Laguna Beach, California.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I have an interesting comment or a question. I\u2019ll pose it this way. In your article on the global warming issue in Greenland, those bores that they made through the ice to reach the mud where all of the spiders and the —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right, the DNA was.<\/p>\n

CALLER: The DNA, did they say how deep those holes were?<\/p>\n

RUSH: It might have. I didn\u2019t read far enough.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, I\u2019ve got the answer for you.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, what\u2019s the answer? <\/p>\n

CALLER: They went 1.2 miles in one of the bores, and 1.8 miles in one of the other bores.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, yeah, here it is, 1.2 miles. Yup, you\u2019re right. Caller is right, ladies and gentlemen. A rarity but in your case it\u2019s true.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Think about how much ice that is. (Laughing.) <\/p>\n

RUSH: (Laughing.) I know. Think about how much that is: 1.2 miles of ice.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s straight down, and nine degrees didn\u2019t melt any of it! It was nine degrees warmer, some hundred thousand years ago didn\u2019t melt any of it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Gosh, when all that ice wasn\u2019t there, the water level wasn\u2019t up above all that, either.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, but remember this ice is over land, they say. That\u2019s why they picked Greenland.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh. (Laughing.) <\/p>\n

RUSH: If they said icebergs were going to melt, big deal. You know, ice cubes in a glass that melt do not overflow the glass.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

RUSH: That\u2019s why they picked Greenland because it has an ice sheet covering a lot of it. If that melts, that\u2019s brand-new water in the ocean that\u2019s not there and good-bye Hamptons and Manhattan.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (Laughing.) I just thought it was interesting on the depth of the bores.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it was. It\u2019s fabulous. I\u2019m glad you were paying attention. I didn\u2019t read the story far enough. I know how to read media. You just need to read the first two paragraphs and if you have a base, you have a baseline to understand the story and the news agency — this is the French News Agency — you read two paragraphs. When I see a story that I\u2019m reading on the Internet and I hit the print and it\u2019s four pages, I print the first page. I don\u2019t need read the last page, because the last three pages are going to have nothing but a summary of all the gobbledygook that\u2019s come before. The Conrad Black trial is the best example. The Conrad Black trial is now at the jury in Chicago. The story in the New York Post today had one paragraph of new information about the feds trying to already figure out what of his assets they can seize. The last paragraphs of the story are all about the rest of the case, what had happened, what he\u2019s been accused of. It\u2019s just a rehash. So read the first two paragraphs, folks. You\u2019ll be saner, you\u2019ll know more and you\u2019ll be less angry.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
