And every time we get a new story that\u2019s qualified to be put in our Global Warming Stack of stuff, it also serves to illustrate that I know these people like every square inch of my shrinking and yet glorious naked body. I know liberals like nobody else does. I know why they do what they do. I know how they\u2019re going to try to sell what they believe. Get this. This is from the Sydney Morning Herald in Australia. &#8216;Humans are just one of the millions of species on Earth, but we use up almost a quarter of the sun\u2019s energy captured by plants &#8211; the most of any species.\u2019 Now, try to envision this. There are some people who seriously think this is a problem, and it leads to global warming. Humans are greedy. &#8216;Human greed takes the lion\u2019s share of solar energy. The human dominance of this natural resource is affecting other species, reducing the amount of energy available to them by almost 10 per cent, scientists report. Researchers say that the findings show that humans were using a remarkable share of the Earth\u2019s plant productivity to meet the needs and wants of one species. They also warned that the increased use of biofuels &#8211; such as ethanol and canola &#8211; should be viewed cautiously, given the potential for further pressure on ecosystems. The scientists, from Austria and Germany, who publish their results today in the journal of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, analysed data on land use, agriculture and forestry from 161 countries, representing 97 per cent of the world\u2019s land mass.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.89380.ImageFile_57914514c7672.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignright\"\/>They\u2019re dead serious. (interruption) I know we don\u2019t use &#8212; I fly over it a lot . It\u2019s amazing how much is barren. It\u2019s amazing how much of the landmass on this planet, I\u2019m not talking about Antarctica and Arctica, I\u2019m talking about places that you could live and farm, it\u2019s barren. That\u2019s why you look at the whole notion of overpopulation, and everything that these people are saying about this is as wrong as it could be. But let\u2019s stick with the premise here that we are somehow overusing our fair share of solar energy. How does one even start thinking that unless you are sick to begin with? We are no different than any other life organism on this planet, and yet proves the point that these people believe we are predators, that we are not a part of nature, that our existence here is destructive and predatory. We are not part of what they call nature, because they think that all other living organisms don\u2019t have the intelligence to compete with us for solar energy. We do, and so that\u2019s not fair. Liberalism is totally encapsulated here. You\u2019ve got victims, and you\u2019ve got oppressors. You\u2019ve got an evil majority, and in this case it\u2019s all of humanity &#8212; well, actually not all of humanity. Get this. <\/p>\n<p>In China, which was exempt from the Kyoto protocols, it is said, by the way, and I even doubt this, but it is a communist country in a lot of parts so it could be true, because communism kills. That\u2019s the big lesson of communism. 750,000 Chinese people die every year, they say, from pollution. The Chinese lobbied the World Bank to have that statistic removed from an official report on the environment and pollution in China, because if it got reported &#8212; the thing is, nobody would care. You think Algore is going to start ripping China? Do you think a bunch of libs at the United Nations are going to start ripping? The Chinese say, &#8216;You start ripping us, and we\u2019re going to come after you.\u2019 They\u2019re not going to put up with it. Nobody\u2019s going to rip China anyway because they\u2019re afraid of them. They\u2019re not going to rip China because actually some of these world governments are far closer in practice to China than they are, say, a free market capitalist system such as ours. So this is the kind of thing that\u2019s going on. But if you actually come up with the notion that human beings are selfishly stealing and using more than our fair share of solar energy, it\u2019s just ridiculous. How can anybody &#8212; in fact, most people aren\u2019t &#8212; there\u2019s a great story today that the vast majority of the people in the world think all this global warming stuff is hyped, it\u2019s overdone, and is being exaggerated, and I think we\u2019re going to pull this out. <\/p>\n<p>Algore\u2019s got this concert this weekend, this Live Earth concert. What is the carbon footprint of this stupid Live Earth concert that he\u2019s doing? It\u2019s gotta be huge. All these dirty, filthy, smelly patrons of rock concerts showing up, getting in the mud, smoking their dope and doing whatever, chugging Lone Star long necks, whatever\u2019s going on out there, forgetting to take birth control pills or other forms of contraception. You know what this thing is going to be, it\u2019s an absolute mess. Would Gore go out and buy a bunch of carbon offsets, we\u2019re going to plant a whole bunch of trees? Here\u2019s a guy who is engaging in his view, in his way of thinking. He can have a rock concert all day, fine with me. You can have one all week. But Gore\u2019s belief is that this kind of activity pollutes and leads to climate change and destruction and so forth. So Gore is out there basically doing a concert to get rid of concerts. It would be like if I did a charity golf tournament for the express purpose of ending the game of golf because it destroys the native environment by creating grass where weeds used to be. This stuff is just getting to the point now that it\u2019s absurd, but thank God for them because they give us laughing points. <\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re dumping all over the new head down there at the National Hurricane Center. Surprise inspection, the feds strode in there yesterday, surprise inspection in the National Hurricane. &#8216;The unannounced visit came in the wake of serial controversies stirred by Bill Proenza, the center\u2019s new director, who has been sharply critical of his superiors at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.\u2019 We know that nobody can be sharply critical of a bureaucrat. If you\u2019re sharply critical of a bureaucrat, the bureaucrat will come after you. &#8216;Meanwhile, for the first time, one of Proenza\u2019s hurricane forecasters expressed public concern about some of Proenza\u2019s actions since he took the job in January. Lixion Avila, a lead forecaster and a center employee for more than 20 years, said he believes Proenza meant well but unintentionally has undermined public faith in hurricane forecasts. Proenza has complained about budget shortfalls, what he called a multimillion-dollar &#8216;bogus\u2019 NOAA anniversary celebration and the imminent demise of a key satellite.\u2019 He\u2019s the guy that told us that that satellite up there could fail any moment, the one that tracks hurricanes, reducing forecasting success by 15 or 20%, and it\u2019s not slated to be replaced until, what, 2015 or 2016. So this Avila guy says he goes to the grocery store and people come up to him after reading about all these controversies, &#8216;You lost the ability to forecast hurricanes?\u2019 &#8216;No, we haven\u2019t lost the ability to forecast. I\u2019m sure the new director didn\u2019t mean that.\u2019 So they had a surprise inspection down there to try to get this guy\u2019s mind right. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: From the Global Warming Stack, this just gets more ridiculous each and every day.
