Today, the editorial page of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/01\/17\/opinion\/trump-voters-supporters.html\">New York Times is nothing but letters from Trump supporters<\/a>. The New York Times did this, they say, in the interests of making sure their readers see the other side.<\/p>\n<p>So they have opened up their letters to the editor to nothing but Trump supporters. And they are brilliant, they are insightful, they\u2019re very intelligent. Many of them are claiming to be former Democrats who\u2019ve seen the light, can\u2019t stand the Democrat Party today. Tomorrow, the New York Times is going to run letters reacting to these letters. So tomorrow\u2019s New York Times editorial page will be made up of letters from Trump haters reacting to the Trump supporters whose letters are published today.<\/p>\n<p>So business as usual. Yeah. After one day of showing they can reach across the aisle, tomorrow it\u2019s time to destroy Trump and everybody who supports him. And they won\u2019t have any trouble getting letters from people who hate Trump and now hate these people that wrote their support for Trump.<\/p>\n<p>But we have &#8212; and I had this yesterday and I didn\u2019t make time for it. CNN got a visa to travel to Ohio. They got hold of a map expert to show them where it is. And they sent Martin Savidge, who\u2019s worked at CNN for many, many, many moons.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-239203\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-031017-Stop-The-Tape.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-031017-Stop-The-Tape.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-031017-Stop-The-Tape-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They sent him out to Ohio to find Democrat voters who voted for Trump and to find out if they still like Trump or if they\u2019re mad at Trump, fed up with Trump, ready to abandon Trump. And they found five Democrat voters who voted for Trump, and all five are still happy as they can be, and all five promise to vote for Trump again. And here\u2019s the first sound bite showing you this.<\/p>\n<p>MAN: Fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>MAN: Phenomenal.<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Great. Better than I ever would have dreamt. I mean that sincerely.<\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: Really?<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Oh, yeah.<\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: Derek?<\/p>\n<p>MAN: I agree. He\u2019s doing wonderful. He\u2019s staying on task.<\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: How big an issue to all of you is immigration?<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Huge.<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Huge.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/cDfBbtCHL10\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: Really?<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>MAN: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: In Youngstown, Ohio?<\/p>\n<p>MAN: Absolutely.<\/p>\n<p>MAN: And, as far as I\u2019m concerned, they\u2019re stealing jobs of rightful citizens.<\/p>\n<p>WOMAN: I feel like when people come here illegally, that\u2019s just very disrespectful, you don\u2019t respect our laws.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, folks, this is CNN. CNN never airs this. CNN doesn\u2019t have one person employed by them who\u2019s not a stringer analyst who even believes this. This is akin to the New York Times giving their letters to the editor page to Trump supporters. CNN went out there &#8212; you know what they\u2019re looking for, they\u2019re looking for Trump voters who are now disillusioned and unhappy. They didn\u2019t find \u2019em. &#8220;And specifically, how big an issue to all of you is immigration?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s huge, it\u2019s huge.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This guy says, &#8220;Really?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Absolutely.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In Youngstown, Ohio, huge?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Absolutely. As far as I\u2019m concerned, they\u2019re stealing jobs of rightful citizens.&#8221; Now, in CNN\u2019s world these illegal immigrants are big victims. They are victims of an evil America who wants to deport \u2019em and kick \u2019em out and separate families. This does not compute.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-260974\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/650-Youngstown-Ohio-Trump-Voters.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"268\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/650-Youngstown-Ohio-Trump-Voters.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/650-Youngstown-Ohio-Trump-Voters-300x124.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>Here\u2019s the next bite. This question, Martin Savidge says, &#8220;Hey, Geno, you said you used to cringe at Trump\u2019s tweets and speech, but not anymore. You don\u2019t cringe anymore because why? You\u2019ve grown numb to it?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>GENO DIFABIO: I\u2019m not numb at all. I know what he\u2019s done. I\u2019m starting to get an inkling why he uses Twitter in the way he does. Because if all he had to rely on was what people say about him, oh, my God, I might not like the guy. But I love the guy. I love the job he\u2019s doing.<\/p>\n<p>JUSTIS HARRISON: He was just the nicest person. And honestly, if he was a racist as everyone paints him out to be, he could have just walked right past me and not even said a word.<\/p>\n<p>MARTIN SAVIDGE: Do you think the media gives the president a fair shake?<\/p>\n<p>JUSTIS HARRISON:: I don\u2019t so think at all.<\/p>\n<p>ANNA PARA: No. He\u2019s like tenacious sometimes and says stuff off the cuff like we do, like real Americans do. You know, we\u2019re not perfect. I\u2019m tired of suave. I\u2019m tired of polished. I\u2019m tired of the teleprompter. You know, I am. I want my country back.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-258544\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/TrumpShortSign.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"307\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/TrumpShortSign.jpg 307w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/TrumpShortSign-300x264.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/>RUSH: &#8220;I\u2019m tired of Obama.&#8221; &#8220;I\u2019m tired of the suave, the polished, the teleprompter.&#8221; If that teleprompter ever blew up, Obama was lost. That\u2019s another good observation. So, anyway, here\u2019s another bite where, folks, I cannot emphasize this enough. CNN just doesn\u2019t have this kind of stuff on the air. The New York Times doesn\u2019t have the things that those letter writers published today, that stuff\u2019s never in the New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, somebody who likes Trump\u2019s tweets and understands now why he does it because it\u2019s the only way Trump can get his message out? And this guy figured that out on his own, because all he watches is an unfair, biased, distorted, despicable media. And yet CNN thinks that everybody hates Trump tweeting and they\u2019re embarrassed by it. And so does the Democrat Party. That\u2019s why they think they\u2019re gonna win. They think they\u2019re gonna win because they don\u2019t really think people like this exist. Final sound bite. Martin Savidge of CNN summing it all up.<\/p>\n<p>SAVIDGE: At the end of our interview, I wanted to find out if there was any buyer\u2019s remorse on the part of any of those voters I was talking to so I asked them, I said, &#8220;If you could do it over, would you vote the same way?&#8221; Every one of them said they would, and on top of that, they said, they will. And I asked, &#8220;What does that mean?&#8221; And they said they\u2019re all gonna vote again in 2020 for Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: CNN. That aired yesterday, maybe the night before.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, I got some conflicting data. I got a note saying that the letters to the editor for the New York Times tomorrow are gonna be from ex-Trump supporters, which is fine. I also saw earlier today in a different story that the letters to the editor of the New York Times tomorrow are people who read the Times reacting to these letters that were published today. So I guess it could be both, but I did see specific &#8212; I was told that the letters to the editor tomorrow are also gonna be written by people who are just steaming mad over the letters they saw today.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Now, folks, this is CNN.
