CALLER: Hi, Rush, are. Mega dittos from Springfield.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Question regarding your Sullivan survey, that 98.6 thing? Does that take into account — you usually say a lot that you\u2019ve got President Bush and like Karl Rove were designing the destruction of the Democratic Party. Is that something you still believe in or is that something that..?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think that was one of the… Well, I know it was. I just think they terribly miscalculated. I know that this effort to legalize these illegals, and amnesty and so forth, was an effort to pull the Hispanic vote in a majority basis to the Republican Party, to counterbalance that that the Democrats have with the black vote in this country. I know that to be true. I just know it. I can\u2019t tell you how, I just know it, and I never did believe it. I never thought it would work. Hell, we just got a poll: 62, 68% of Hispanics that have been polled recently going to vote for Hillary, before the immigration bill! So I never thought it was true, but yes, I thought that\u2019s what they were out to do. What they\u2019ve inadvertently done is split the Republican Party. If you look at who they chose to align themselves with on legislation, Ted Kennedy on education, Ted Kennedy on no child left behind, Ted Kennedy on immigration, it was divisive.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I definitely agree President Bush has done a terrible job in regard to that and again it\u2019s not to knock you or anything, but is that considered part of the survey, do they take into consideration that you may have been wrong on that?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, they were wrong! (laughing) <\/p>\n

CALLER: No, don\u2019t mean ‘they\u2019 meaning the Republicans. I mean ‘they\u2019 being the survey, when it comes to what you said — and again, I\u2019m a big fan of yours. You probably don\u2019t believe that, but I am. I\u2019m a big fan of yours.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, everybody is. Even those who are won\u2019t admit it, are.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Again, you say that Bush is trying to destroy the Democratic Party as part of his thing.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So you want to know if this is going to negatively impact my opinion audit?<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s correct.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, because I didn\u2019t tell you it would work! I just said, ‘This is what they\u2019re doing. This is one of the things that\u2019s motivating them.\u2019 I think there are countless other things that motivated them on immigration. Believe me (sigh). I have to be discreet about certain things. I\u2019ll just tell you that when this was first proposed whenever it was — it might have been the first term — and I didn\u2019t buy it, emissaries were dispatched to my home. Believe me, I got the facts and figures of how this is all going to work out, and it just never made any sense to me. So, I\u2019m not wrong for saying that\u2019s what they wanted to do.
