CALLER: I was going to be really snide, but I\u2019m not going to be, okay?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Aw, darn it. We were hoping you were going to be snide. I love snide callers.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No you don\u2019t because you rag on us then. The only reason why I called was to tell you that —<\/p>\n

RUSH: I don\u2019t rag on callers. Wait a second. What show did you think you called?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I know what show.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, you got us all titillated here. What were you going to say? Just don\u2019t say it snidely.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Mexicans are in fact Americans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You mean the way they\u2019re being treated?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No. Geographically and physically, geophysically, they are in fact Americans. Canadians are Americans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, now, come on. North America, Central America, South America, Norte America, you can\u2019t —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Exactly, but you have to be careful when you say stuff like that, because then people think, ‘Oh, no, they\u2019re not Americans.\u2019 Yes, sir, they are Americans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re not Americans. Mexicans are not Americans.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, they are.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They are not. <\/p>\n

CALLER: What are they?<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re Mexicans. They\u2019re born in Mexico.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay, Canada, the United States —<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re Canadians.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — Mexico, how far do you want me to go before I stop naming Americans?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Go to France.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You\u2019re wrong. They are in fact Americans. They\u2019re Mexicans by nationality.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What\u2019s the point?<\/p>\n

CALLER: But geographically they are in fact America —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Look it, I\u2019m intrigued. I\u2019m about to get snide here. What is the point?<\/p>\n

CALLER: The point is you\u2019re wrong.<\/p>\n

RUSH: About what?<\/p>\n

CALLER: About saying that they\u2019re not Americans. <\/p>\n

RUSH: You\u2019re defending Harry Reid, is that what you\u2019re doing? You\u2019re defending Harry Reid when he said undocumented Americans?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, he\u2019s wrong. He\u2019s wrong because in fact they are Americans. They\u2019re undocumented Americans. Is that or is that not true? Just say yes or no.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ll say no. This is absurd. This whole call is surreal.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I knew it. I knew it. See, just because I\u2019m right and you\u2019re wrong you\u2019re going to say, ‘Oh, what a dumb caller, blah, blah, blah.\u2019<\/p>\n

RUSH: You can\u2019t pull that on me because we are not married and in this case you are wrong, and you are so wrong that it\u2019s funny. You\u2019re very cute.<\/p>\n

CALLER: You don\u2019t think that —<\/p>\n

RUSH: They\u2019re not Americans.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — Mexico is part of the Americas?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Nobody would buy your argument. Nobody would be persuaded by it. Nobody would understand it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, you\u2019re going to have a whole lot of —<\/p>\n

RUSH: You may as well have called here and tried to sell me a left-handed baseball bat. That\u2019s how absurd this is.<\/p>\n

CALLER: That\u2019s probably what some of our great hitters are hitting with is left hand baseball bats. <\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, what\u2019s left-handed about a left-handed baseball bat? If you think Mexicans are Americans, then you think there are left-handed baseball bats. I want to know what is left-handed about a baseball bat that\u2019s left-handed?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Same people that use left-handed scarves, probably.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I\u2019ll tell you, it\u2019s the handle is on the opposite end.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right, Karen, this has been an experience.<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, it should be illuminating and educational.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, it has been but not in the ways that you think.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh. I\u2019m sorry for you if you don\u2019t think that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Oh, please, don\u2019t pity me. Don\u2019t pity me.<\/p>\n

CALLER: It has been a pleasure, sort of.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Thank you. It has been an experience for me. Wait, Karen, are you still there? Damn it, I wanted to ask her if she\u2019s a Hillary supporter, you know, based on the polling data<\/a> that we got earlier in the program.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, here we are. We\u2019re going to violate one of the cardinal rules of this program: You never, ever take a caller twice in one day. Never take the same caller twice in one day. You try not to ever take the same caller ever again, but certainly not in the same day. Since I can do it because it\u2019s my show, we\u2019re going to make an exception to this rule. We have Karen from Springfield, Oregon, back, who I wanted to ask one more question, but she had hung up.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But you only are doing this because I am, like, the most excellent caller.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Er… Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you. (laughing)<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay, so the question — this is the woman who said Mexicans are Americans, and —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — Canadians are Americans —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — and Costa Ricans are Americans. Brazilians are Americans. So I wanted to ask you, based on your thinking and your logic on this, ‘Are you by any chance supporting Hillary Clinton?\u2019<\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019m wrong, then, on that tack. <\/p>\n

CALLER: No.<\/p>\n

RUSH: See, this will affect the opinion audit because my opinion was that you were right in there in the crop of women that were supporting Hillary.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Ummm, no. There\u2019s also a lot of men that also support her.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Not as many as you think. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Wellll…<\/p>\n

RUSH: There are too many bad memories there. She doesn\u2019t have the likability factor. She\u2019s got a likability problem. There\u2019s no question about it.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, listen, I\u2019m sitting here holding my left-handed bat as I\u2019m sure you\u2019re holding your big cigar with your left hand, right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, I never do, not during the show.<\/p>\n

CALLER: (Laughing.)<\/p>\n

RUSH: The cigar is in my right hand.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Actually… no… I\u2019m not going to. At this point, no, I\u2019m not going to.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, who are you supporting?<\/p>\n

CALLER: If I had to vote for a Republican, it would probably be Ron Paul, right?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well! I was…<\/p>\n

CALLER: (Laughing).<\/p>\n

RUSH: Okay. The opinion audit will not be affected by this answer because you\u2019ve fulfilled the reason that I offered the opinion. That\u2019s interesting.<\/p>\n

CALLER: But, you know — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Uh!<\/p>\n

CALLER: — I like Barack Obama. know — <\/p>\n

RUSH: Uh!<\/p>\n

CALLER: — But it\u2019s way too early, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Not for the passionate.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Well, for…the thoughtful and for the intelligent.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, that\u2019s definitely you. You think, and the things you come up with sometimes (tapping desk). But you think. All right. I want to move on, Karen. I have to go. Thanks again. We got Mike in St. Cloud, Florida, who agrees with Karen. Thank you, Mr. Snerdley. Mike, welcome to the program.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Dittos, Rush! I\u2019ve been trying to call you for 20 years. I finally get through. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I tell you what, there\u2019s one thing that I gotta say, though, my first call I\u2019ve gotta disagree with you on something because the lady is right. Spanish people from Mexico are Americans. [sic] They\u2019re Mexican Americans; they\u2019re just US citizens, and the thing that it is that we keep pushing it and pushing it and pushing it, we\u2019re going to drive that bloc of people away from our conservative thinking —<\/p>\n

RUSH: Ugh.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — because the majority of those people are conservative.<\/p>\n

RUSH: They are not, not the ones we\u2019re talking about! <\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, but you\u2019re talking about a fraction of them, Rush, a fraction of them t hat aren\u2019t.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I was born and raised in Texas, and most of — the majority of — those people that came over and raised their children American and are now American citizens, are conservative Republicans.<\/p>\n

RUSH: History doesn\u2019t bear this out! Simpson-Mazzoli, \u201986, you track the political affiliation with those that became citizens and voted and registered, it doesn\u2019t track. <\/p>\n

CALLER: You gotta look at it all the way back!<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wait a second. We got 20 seconds. <\/p>\n

CALLER: We\u2019ve been having this argument since all the way back at the turn of the century —<\/p>\n

RUSH: We got 20 seconds.<\/p>\n

CALLER: — in the 1900s.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Besides all that, is it worth breaking the law and allowing the law to be broken and bringing in —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, I\u2019m not saying that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: — undereducated people in order to get voters for your party?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No I\u2019m not saying that, either, Rush. I\u2019m just saying we\u2019re picking on the wrong people.<\/p>\n
