Greetings from the allergy capital of the world.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I didn\u2019t know that. Learn something every day. Allergy capital of the world?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Of course. Out here in the mountains and the hills. The reason I called, I had a question about former President George Bush, Sr. I was kinda wondering why he hasn\u2019t been more in the spotlight on the conservative movement, on a lot of their conservative issues, you don\u2019t hear anything about him.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, I\u2019ll tell you. There are two answers for this. One is, regardless what you think of him, he is a man of refinement and decorum, and he is not going to break the unspoken rules about behavior of ex-presidents. Number two, he is not going to do anything to come out and defend his son. It makes his son look weak. He\u2019s not going to in any way get involved for those reasons. His son is the president. He knows what that\u2019s like. He has on a couple of occasions made mention of how mean-spirited the press seems to be even more as he remembered it when he was president or even during Reagan. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s that much different. I think people have forgotten. Reagan was despised. Nixon? Come on. This is the lay of the land, and he knows that. As for conservatism, he\u2019s really not one. He was a Republican. But he was not ideologue, and neither is 43. They\u2019re not ideological conservatives. They do some things that are conservative and some things that aren\u2019t. So you can\u2019t say he\u2019s a conservative.
