RUSH: By the way, folks, there was another huge fake news story over the weekend that was supposed to obstruct everybody\u2019s attention on the good news. There were two of them. The first story, and it dominated everything, Trump\u2019s gonna fire Mueller by Friday. Democrat congresswoman Jackie Speier said she\u2019s heard Trump\u2019s gonna fire Mueller by Christmas, and that became the news! Saturday, Sunday on the Sunday shows, into this morning, it became the news.<\/p>\n

It became all anybody was talking about on the verge of tax reform adding to the already growing, burgeoning economy that we are experiencing now. And there is loads of other good news. Optimistic things are happening all over, and they are gonna be damned if they report any of it to you.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>There was a second story that had everybody captivated, and it was a story that the Trump administration had ordered the Centers for Disease Control to stop using seven words in next year\u2019s budget documents. Now, when I first saw this story, I said, “This is caca. This has to be totally made up caca.” And then when I was reading my tech blogs later the day and saw the outrage there over this, \u2019cause these tech bloggers all think that they are Einstein scientists. And, by the way, more on that. I can\u2019t wait to get to this. But I get ahead of myself.<\/p>\n

When I read the outrage, the obscenity filled outrage over this, I said this has to be caca. This cannot possibly be true because this doesn\u2019t make any sense. There was a story that Trump administration had banned the CDC from using these seven words or phrases in next year\u2019s budget documents: fetus, transgender, vulnerable, entitlement, diversity, evidence-based, and science-based.<\/p>\n

This story first appeared on Friday in the Washington Post. And as I say, I saw it reacted to with obscenity laden posts on my tech blogs, which I immediately realized dumb, stupid liberals believed this because they think Trump is this stupid. But a careful examination, why would the CDC be commanded to stop using the word fetus in budget documents, and transgender, vulnerable, entitlement, diversity?<\/p>\n

All of these things are sacred to the left, except fetus. That\u2019s the one word in this list of seven that doesn\u2019t belong there if it\u2019s a list designed to tick off — well, by not using the word “fetus” the left should be happy. There\u2019s no such thing as a fetus in their lexicon. A fetus is an unviable tissue mass or is an illness.<\/p>\n

Well, anyway, the director of the CDC, Brenda Fitzgerald, addressed the report and said this isn\u2019t true. She said in a series of tweets on Sunday that there are no banned words and emphasized that the CDC is committed to data-driven science. This story wanted you to believe that Trump ordered evidence-based and science-based as words not to be used in budget documents and diversity and vulnerable and transgender and entitlement.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m telling you the truth. I knew this was bogus. I knew it was either made up or purposely misreported exactly when I saw the tech blogs. They lapped it up like it was the same thing as one plus one equals two. They lapped it up, they believed it, they got obscenely angry. But it doesn\u2019t pass any kind of a test. It makes no sense whatsoever. Its starting point is much the same as your starting point on Trump and collusion with Russia. You\u2019re so immersed in it that you believe it.<\/p>\n

Okay, you get so immersed that Trump hates science because of his opposition to climate change and Trump hates diversity \u2019cause he\u2019s a racist and Trump hates transgenders \u2019cause he\u2019s a homophobe and Trump hates entitlements \u2019cause he\u2019s conservative and Trump hates diversity \u2019cause he\u2019s a racist and Trump despises evidence-based because he likes to put people in jail without any. If you believe all of that nonsense then you would believe a story like this.<\/p>\n

These two stories dominated the weekend, folks. This and Trump firing Mueller. Well, all the other, much of it really great economic news, has been totally abandoned, totally ignored.<\/p>\n

\"\"And another one of my tech blogs. I don\u2019t know how many of you people are aware of this, but an asteroid flew right by earth not long ago, closer than it was predicted to fly. Did you read about this? (interruption) It wasn\u2019t what? (interruption) Detected by who? Well, no, it was detected.<\/p>\n

“A couple of months back, a really, really weird asteroid flew through our Solar System. It looked nothing like any –” I\u2019m reading from a tech blog here, by the way. Just listen to this. I gotta tell you these people all believe that, because they\u2019re in tech, these are tech journalists, that they are scientists extraordinaire, that they\u2019re brilliant, that they are advanced.<\/p>\n

Stephen Hawking is god, Neil deGrasse Tyson is God Jr., Carl Sagan is god emeritus. Elon Musk is the god of god. I mean, it\u2019s incredible. Steve Jobs is the first son of god of god. Bill Gates is a dork. I mean, it goes on and on and on. These people are just —<\/p>\n

Anyway, “A couple of months back, a really, really weird asteroid flew through our Solar System. It looked nothing like any object humanity had ever spotted in space, and was moving might [sic] fast. First it was identified as a comet, then an asteroid, and most recently scientists have been wondering if maybe it was actually an alien spacecraft.”<\/p>\n

Folks, this is a serious blog post. You may laugh as you hear this, but the people that wrote this, this is God serious. “Most recently scientists have been wondering if maybe it was actually an alien spacecraft. Now, after spending hours listening to the strange visitor with powerful radio telescopes, scientists say they haven\u2019t heard a peep.”<\/p>\n

Yeah, because it\u2019s a rock.<\/p>\n

“The object … is shaped like a cigar. If it\u2019s really an asteroid it would be the very first interstellar asteroid — that is, a rock that originated outside of our Solar System. Earlier this week scientists from the Breakthrough Listen project pointed their ears towards [the object] in the hopes of hearing something, anything, that couldn\u2019t be explained by some natural process. After a preliminary review of the data, they haven\u2019t found anything that would suggest the object is actually an alien probe, but whether or not we should be happy about that is up for debate.”<\/p>\n

An alien probe was what they seriously considered that rock to be. And then the rest of the post is devoted to, what if it was?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>“Humanity has been hastily attempting to make contact with intelligent extraterrestrial civilizations for decades now. We\u2019ve sent spacecraft out of our Solar System with directions on where to find us, and shot [sic] radio wave messages to distant stars in the hopes that someone is listening. If we\u2019re going to meet aliens, these are probably our best shots at making first contact, but should we even be trying? Every scientist with an itch to find alien life has a counterpart who fears what that meeting may bring. Many astronomers and physicists, including Stephen Hawking, have warned that contact aliens could result in the utter destruction of mankind.”<\/p>\n

Hang on. “We simply don\u2019t know whether intelligent beings living elsewhere in the universe will see us as a friendly neighbor, a threat, or simply a nuisance that should be wiped out simply because we\u2019re annoying them.<\/p>\n

‘Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonize whatever planets they could reach,\u2019 Hawking famously said. ‘If so, it makes sense for them to exploit each new planet for material to build more spaceships so they could move on. Who knows what the limits would be?'”<\/p>\n

Are you kidding me? All of this from a passing rock shaped like a cigar. It could have an alien. It could have an alien probe. The alien probe could have been looking for material to build more spaceships and kill us in the process. But a sigh of relief. “For now, it appears that the strange object that just visited us isn\u2019t relaying messages with alien handlers on a distant star system, and maybe that\u2019s for the best.”<\/p>\n

This is not intended as a joke post. It\u2019s not satire. It\u2019s not parody. This is real. There is now a fear the aliens out there probing us are simply gonna wipe us out \u2019cause we annoy \u2019em. And note, by the way, folks, in all of this discussion, aliens are always thousands of times smarter than we are. They have to be. How else would they get here?<\/p>\n

They would find us to be racist and sexist. They would chastise us for destroying our planet. They wouldn\u2019t want anything to do with us because we are so backwards and stupid, and they might just decide to kill us all. But Hawking has the solution. Colonize Mars. Get outta here. Get off this planet before the real alien probe gets here and wipes us out.<\/p>\n

Why go to Mars? Why go to Mars? There\u2019s nothing on Mars. There\u2019s no material to build spaceships on Mars. The only place worth visiting if you\u2019re an alien is earth. Why? To meet Stephen Hawking. And then Elon Musk. And resuscitate Jobs. And then Algore for inventing the internet.<\/p>\n
