It\u2019s great to have you with us.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Oh, thank you, Rush. It\u2019s good to speak with you.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You bet, sir.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m one of your mind-numbed robots. What I\u2019d like to ask you is, &#8216;What do you think the likelihood is that the left will take to the streets when they lose in 2008, like they\u2019re doing in France, like they did in Mexico?\u2019<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125114.Par.89380.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"230\" height=\"328\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: Well, predicting the future is kind of a tough thing to do. I don\u2019t know anybody who can really do it, especially those psychics that got shut down in Philadelphia because they didn\u2019t see it coming. (That\u2019s one of the funniest stories. Psychics, 25 of them, fortunetellers, got shut down. They didn\u2019t see the cops coming, supposedly. True story.) I think they\u2019ve been protesting not in the streets, not rioting per se. They\u2019ve been verbally rioting, Tim &#8212; and I\u2019m serious about this. We hear about the coarsening of our discourse, the lack of civility, and I am here to tell you that the architects of the modern era of the loss of civility and the lack of discourse, you can lay that directly at the feet of the American left. I think they\u2019ve been verbally rioting ever since Florida 2000. There have been some protests out there. They haven\u2019t got their anti-war people turned out in as great a numbers as they would like. The illegal immigration rallies are bigger. There hasn\u2019t been nearly as much violence as there was during the protests in the sixties over the Vietnam War. But it is an interesting question, psychologically, because they are convinced that the 2008 election is over, and they are convinced that they\u2019re going to get a <a xhtml:id=\"\/content\/home\/daily\/site_051407\/content\/01125106\" href=\"\/\/\/home\/daily\/site_051407\/content\/01125106.html\">Fairness Doctrine<\/a> passed and shut me up. Of course, if they shut me up, they think they\u2019ll have no more criticism, and then they\u2019ll be able to get away with whatever they want to get away with scot-free. <\/p>\n<p>They are setting themselves up here. They are living under the assumption that the \u201908 presidential race is theirs. You can see that, by the way, if you watch the latest or last MSNBC Republican candidates debates. You could just tell that the moderators, the journalists on that show questioning them, just thought that it was a fruitless exercise. &#8216;These guys really don\u2019t have a chance. We\u2019re just doing this because we\u2019re journalists and we\u2019re going to find out what these guys think.\u2019 You could tell in the attitude. I have to tell you, they had that attitude going into November of \u201906. They had that very arrogant, cocksure attitude. They were as confident as they could be. They turned out to be right on that one. I\u2019ll give you two words to explain how the Democrats won the House and Senate. In the Senate they won because of the word &#8216;Macaca,\u2019 and in the House they won because of the word &#8216;Foley.\u2019 (Well, maybe two words there, &#8216;Mark Foley.\u2019) They\u2019ve taken that victory and attached a mandate to it<emphasize> that they didn\u2019t win<\/emphasize>. But if they\u2019re this confident, and if they\u2019re so sure and all they\u2019re doing is just waiting for the Election Day to come and go to finalize it and formalize it, if they end up losing, nothing would surprise me. They\u2019ve set it all up. &#8216;You can\u2019t trust the ballot box anymore. You can\u2019t trust the voting machines. We can\u2019t trust election officials. We can\u2019t trust this or that.\u2019 When they lose elections, they are convinced that they actually won them, that their votes have been stolen or manipulated. Liberals are liberals wherever they are around the world, and so I can understand your question. We\u2019ll see.
