I still don\u2019t remember when I said this. I\u2019m not denying I said it; it\u2019s on tape. Don\u2019t misunderstand. But on CNN this afternoon, their program Inside Politics (sound bites 21 and 22 here), John King speaking with Franco Ordonez &#8212; he\u2019s the McClatchy White House correspondent &#8212; and with Mary Katharine Ham of The Federalist. It says here about me and my comments that the Senate tax plan is intended to sabotage President Trump. Now, to set things up, here is John King of <a href=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/daily\/2017\/11\/09\/the-swamp-is-sabotaging-you\/\">CNN introducing and playing an audio sound bite of me from yesterday\u2019s program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>KING: GOP leaders say all will be fine in the end. Meaning once the House and the Senate pass separate plans, they\u2019ll negotiate a compromise. Well, count Rush Limbaugh <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-254455\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"415\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH2.jpg 415w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH2-300x173.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/>among the skeptics.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: Wer\u2019re exhausted. Ten years, no results. Now the Senate Republicans are torpedoing tax reform. The stock market\u2019s down 200. &#8220;We want to delay these corporate tax cuts until 2019. We don\u2019t want to phase those in.&#8221; This is pure Trump sabotage, is what\u2019s going on &#8212; and, if it\u2019s Trump sabotage, it\u2019s you being sabotaged, you who voted for him. That\u2019s what ticks me off.<\/p>\n<p>KING: It is refreshing, isn\u2019t it, the love and the trust of our congressional Republican leadership on the conservative talk radio crowd out there? You know, look, uh&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>GUEST: (giggling)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-254456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"421\" height=\"237\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH3.jpg 421w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH3-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 421px) 100vw, 421px\" \/>KING: You could write off what you hear from Rush as chatter. Uh, but if you are a conservative in the country and you turn on talk radio, the skepticism is real. Uh, they remember the Obamacare debacle, they don\u2019t trust Mitch McConnell, and they think somehow, uh, they\u2019re gonna mess this up again.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: It\u2019s not chatter. Why delay the corporate tax cut&#8230;? Dare I say this? The corporate tax cut &#8212; gee, folks, I&#8230; (sigh) I don\u2019t want you to get mad at me. The corporate tax cuts is where the tax cuts really are, and therefore where the economic growth is going to come from. It\u2019s a significant rate reduction, 35 to 20%. Here comes the Senate wanting now to delay it to 2019. Well, let me tell you what that means. That means it\u2019s not gonna happen, because whatever legislation they write today that requires something happening in 2019?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-254454\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"416\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH1.jpg 416w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRUSH1-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/>Well there\u2019s still two years to go, a year and a half to go before 2019. So somebody can come along and write new legislation next year eliminating the whole thing. That\u2019s why it has to be done now, because it can always be undone, too, but tax reform is not a piece of legislation you can tackle every year and start adding to and erasing willy-nilly. You can see how complicated this is. But delaying the start of this and then phasing it in at that point until 2019 is the same thing as not including it, if you ask me. So after there was some discussion at CNN, John King once again resumed the microphone.<\/p>\n<p>KING: To Rush\u2019s point, you know, why would you delay the corporate tax, the White House obviously wants that as soon as possible. Yet, they said complimentary things about the Senate plan, thinking, let\u2019s just keep this moving, keep the train on the tracks, we\u2019ll worry about the details a little later.<\/p>\n<p>ORDONEZ: I think there are measures that they\u2019re willing to work in. I think there are measures that Democrats are actually willing to work with. And, you know, Paul Ryan was saying it earlier that this has to pass. He said, &#8220;Trust me. We are going to get this across the finish line.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-254457\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRush4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"412\" height=\"239\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRush4.jpg 412w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/CNNRush4-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 412px) 100vw, 412px\" \/>HAM: I think Virginia scared them into action, not into inaction.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. So the CNN panel seems to think the White House Republicans are so desperate to do something that this is gonna pass, no matter what they do. Even if they delay the implementation of the corporate tax rate reduction for four years, three years, whatever, that it\u2019s still going to pass, that they\u2019ve gotta do something based on the results from Virginia scaring them into action or what have you. There\u2019s no doubt some of that.<\/p>\n<p>But I don\u2019t think it\u2019s strictly the elections in Virginia. Are you telling me that if Gillespie had won, that the Senate would have said, &#8220;All right. We don\u2019t have to do anything now&#8221;? If Republicans had won that, if Gillespie had won, would the thinking be, &#8220;Okay. We won, so we can continue to delay the Trump agenda.&#8221; Do you think that would have been their reaction? It might have been. We don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Thank you so much for being with us today and all week, ladies and gentlemen, for what CNN describes as &#8220;Rush Chatter.&#8221; Ha.
