CALLER: Hi, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Hi.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Rush, I\u2019m in full panic mode here.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Why?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019ve heard three times today a disclaimer on WJR 760<\/a> Detroit that the views and opinions of WJR 760, blah, blah, blah, blah. What\u2019s going on? What\u2019s going on here? Are they trying to take you off 760? If they do, I\u2019ll never listen again.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, no, no. If they are, it won\u2019t happen \u2019til after next Thursday, because I\u2019ve got a personal appearance there at the Novi Center that\u2019s sold out. So they\u2019re not going to do that. <\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s censorship.<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, they\u2019re not censoring anything. They\u2019re just saying in their disclaimer, that whatever I say, they don\u2019t agree with.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah, but why all of a sudden? Why all the sudden? I\u2019ve been listening for two years. I\u2019m the one who called about the gas rebates, and I\u2019ve been listening for two years. I\u2019ve been converted to conservative views, so I\u2019ve been listening to you, and if I don\u2019t get my Rush, I will be cranky.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You will.<\/p>\n

CALLER: I won\u2019t!<\/p>\n

RUSH: No, you will get your Rush.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You might be cranky, but you will get your Rush.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Oh, Rush, I hope so.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Don\u2019t worry about this. I don\u2019t know what\u2019s behind this, but —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Something\u2019s going on, though.<\/p>\n

RUSH: This happened when the program first started. When the program first started back in 1988, we started with 56 little radio stations and WABC in New York, and it just grew rapidly and, you know, it was controversial in its day. I did the disclaimer myself as a means of protecting the radio station: ‘The views expressed by the host in this show are not necessarily those of the staff, management nor sponsors of this station,\u2019 and nobody\u2019s felt the need to exclaim the show until recently. WJR started today. We got a phone call earlier from a guy who couldn\u2019t go on the air but said he had heard it like you did, but beyond that I don\u2019t know what it\u2019s about. But don\u2019t sweat it. Everything\u2019s cool.<\/p>\n

CALLER: If I can\u2019t get my Rush weekly, I will be a mess.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You will get it. I mean, if the worst possible thing happened —<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yeah?<\/p>\n

RUSH: — you would still be able to get it on the Internet.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yes. Yes, there\u2019s always an answer, and there will always be Rush. Always. <\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. We love you, Rush.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And I love you, too.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Okay. Bye.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Appreciate your concern, but please, do not be worried about this. Everything is fine. As long as they make it known up there that whatever I say they don\u2019t agree with, then everything will be cool, and nothing will happen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
