Thank you.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hey, I&#8230; This, unfortunately, if&#8230; I\u2019ve really been trying to collect my thoughts because I could &#8212; it\u2019s one of those days like you have where there\u2019s just so much stuff going through your head you can\u2019t get it all out.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I was thinking about the libs and just the way they do business. You know, I don\u2019t know if this is a good place to say something like this, but I hear people do it sometimes. There\u2019s a passage in the Bible that says, &#8216;Train a child up in the way he should go, and when he is old he won\u2019t depart from it.\u2019 Every time the liberals get back up against the fence &#8212; I told your screener, I said &#8212; I thought of a phrase that popped into my head yesterday, &#8216;From Woodstock to the White House,\u2019 and it\u2019s like I really think I understand the liberals\u2019 position on at least where they\u2019re coming from, because back in the sixties they got a lot of stuff done with their peace marches and their protests, and America took note, and they stood up and listened. But it\u2019s time to grow up and start doing business like adults.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/01125109.Par.89380.ImageFile_5791451b11e8b.jpg\" width=\"177\" height=\"210\" class=\"alignright\"\/>RUSH: It\u2019s not going to happen. You\u2019re Woodstock to Washington analogy is pretty good because what we have here, especially with the Clinton candidacy, Mrs. Bill Clinton, this is the sixties generation and their last chance to take hold of the government. That\u2019s what it is. You say that they were successful and got noticed and so forth back during the sixties. I mean, they have done a lot to pervert and torture the culture. But they feel <emphasize>frustrated<\/emphasize>. They had to go through Reagan. They had to listen to Bush and Bush. Nixon! In fact, their activities in the sixties gave us Nixon and gave them McGovern and they\u2019re in the process &#8212; this is what I\u2019m going to be talking about in mere moments &#8212; of doing that again. They\u2019ve screwed up public Ed. They\u2019ve screwed up everything they\u2019ve touched. They\u2019ve screwed up raising their own kids, the liberal faction of these Woodstock generation sixties people. But there\u2019s no question that that\u2019s what the coming election is about, is that faction, the liberal kids of the sixties versus the conservative branch of the sixties. <\/p>\n<p>You have to say that on a national basis, if you look at presidential races, they have not had a good time of it. So this is their last chance. After this, who is there going to be? So I like your analogy, but don\u2019t expect them to change. You have to understand that for a lot of baby boomers, and even those who are not liberal baby boomers, their parents and grandparents had to work so hard and go through so much, and they did, and they provided their kids &#8212; and I\u2019m one of the baby boomers &#8212; a relatively cushy life. We\u2019ve had to go out and <emphasize>invent <\/emphasize>our traumas. Not that they\u2019re not real, but we had to invent them, and put ourselves through them. Because we had it so easy, and because it took us so long to grow up, we had all the opportunity in the world loaf around, laze around and not get serious about life until much later in life than our parents did. We were free to also make everything about us. Me, me, me, and how I feel and so forth. They just haven\u2019t left that aspect.
