Brazile Turns on Clintons, Drive-Bys Turn on Brazile"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: The Donna Brazile situation, Democrat Party, folks, this is amazing. We don\u2019t see this. We do not see this kind of thing happening in the Democrat Party, and it is happening, and we need to take note of it. Even our old buddy Byron York backed me up on this. I made the point on Friday that, since the Clintons took office in 1992, other than the bimbo eruptions and stuff like that, which everybody knew, we\u2019ve not had one act of disloyalty from anybody that has worked with the Clintons.<\/p>\n<p>A couple of FBI agents or Secret Service agents wrote books that were quickly buried and ignored by the Drive-By Media, but we\u2019ve never had anything like this and Byron York says, &#8220;You know what? Limbaugh may actually have a point here,&#8221; as though me having a point is unique. But, nevertheless, he said it. He said it with Bret Baier on the Fox News Channel. This is unprecedented. We do not, we never have had an intimate insider, up close and personal with the Clintons, both in their White House days, post-White House days, inside the Democrat Party, we\u2019ve never had anything like this.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-253774\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110617-Brazile.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110617-Brazile.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-110617-Brazile-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>There\u2019s never been a tell-all book. There has never been, other than I say retired FBI agents, but we\u2019ve never had anything like this. And the Drive-Bys &#8212; this is incredible. Well, it isn\u2019t, actually. The Drive-Bys are actually turning on Brazile. It\u2019s actually somewhat predictable. But she is not used to this. That\u2019s the thing. Democrats are not used to the treatment that we get. And she\u2019s getting it. She\u2019s getting it from Tom Brokaw. She\u2019s getting it from others in the Drive-By Media. She\u2019s getting it from Fredo Cuomo. She is getting it from the Hillary camp, from all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That\u2019s right. I wasn\u2019t making that up. Donna Brazile wrote that she was &#8212; well, you know who Seth Rich was. Seth Rich was the guy that worked at the DNC, and he was murdered outside his home &#8212; (interruption) What? Well, what do you mean we\u2019re not allowed to talk about Seth Rich? Well, they may not be able to talk about it at Fox News. We can talk about it here.<\/p>\n<p>Seth Rich worked at the DNC, and it was thought by some that he was the inside source that had leaked the DNC emails and stuff to WikiLeaks, not the Podesta stuff. That\u2019s a different thing. This is the hacking of the DNC. It was thought that he might have been the source, and he was murdered outside his home. And then there were all kinds of reports that, hey, it might have been because everybody\u2019s trying to protect this guy, he was a source. And the family said: No. No. And you\u2019re adding to our pain and suffering and please shut up about it.<\/p>\n<p>They went after Hannity on Fox News and raised all kinds of holy hell about it and they basically shut it down. Then out of the blue here comes Brazile in her book claiming that when this guy was &#8212; well, he was killed, I said murdered, he was killed, she feared for her own life. She shut the blinds in her house so that snipers could not see her. So this has been lurking out there in the unknown while she\u2019s been writing the book.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Seth Rich story came up, and there were people following it. I\u2019m leaving out a key detail on this. My memory is leaving out a key detail here about why it was suspected that his death was related to this. The cops couldn\u2019t find any evidence. Well, they couldn\u2019t find a perp, right? That\u2019s what it was, and there were people using common sense. Well, the guy worked at the DNC. He was rumored, somebody said he was the leaker and leaked the stuff, and if he had done that, that there would be reciprocity, i.e., you\u2019re dead, dude, you don\u2019t do this to us.<\/p>\n<p>And the family went nuts saying you\u2019re torturing us with this, it was a robbery gone bad or some such thing, and everybody pushing it was shamed into shutting up. And then everybody shut up. Everybody went away. Here comes Brazile\u2019s book. The guy gets murdered, and she starts worrying she\u2019s next is what this means.<\/p>\n<p>Greetings, and welcome back my friends. How dare you keep talking about it. The family is distraught enough as it is without keeping this aspect of it alive when it\u2019s totally, totally bogus.<\/p>\n<p>Then this. I mean, if the woman who has &#8212; this, by the way, she makes that observation in the book long before any of this has gone public, long before she is going to tell the world how Hillary rigged the election, how Hillary took over the DNC a year in advance of the election and the campaign. So this is coming like a bolt out of the blue, and it\u2019s just gonna reignite this.<\/p>\n<p>See, you might be asking yourself, I think you are. I think people in this audience are naturally curious. It\u2019s why you\u2019re here. I think you\u2019re naturally inquisitive and I think over the course of many, many moons you, too, are now dubious of what you hear originally about any story in the Drive-By Media. And I think most of you in this audience have developed, because you\u2019ve been regular listeners here, the whole notion of critical thinking, which means you don\u2019t just absorb like a sponge whatever you hear. You question it.<\/p>\n<p>And, of course, the validity of questioning is rising all the time. There\u2019s more and more reason to doubt pretty much everything we hear the first time around in the Drive-By Media. So let\u2019s just take this, I\u2019ll give you a great example of critical thinking here. From the professor. So here\u2019s Donna Brazile, who\u2019s who? Well, she is an insider to beat all insiders. Donna Brazile is more inside this organization than anybody in it.<\/p>\n<p>She has been a Democrat who has run campaigns. She has been a spokesman for candidates and presidents. She ran the Gore campaign in 2000 coming out of the Clinton White House. She has been intimately involved defending and promoting Democrat Party politics on CNN and throughout the Drive-By Media for 25 or 30 years, and before that she was intimately involved in the Democrat Party, before she became a media figure. She is big in the Democrat Party.<\/p>\n<p>So she\u2019s coming out now and she says the Seth Rich murder haunted her to the point that she felt the need to close her shades, that she feared for her own life. Now, if there\u2019s anybody &#8212; here\u2019s the critical thinking part. This is the part that\u2019s supposed to dazzle you. If there\u2019s anybody that knows these people, it is Donna Brazile. There\u2019s no two ways of looking at this.<\/p>\n<p>She feared for her life after a random robbery gone bad that left a man dead. She feared for her life after a random crime, senseless, needless, random crime left a former member of the DNC staff dead. She feared for her life. Donna Brazile knows these people. Donna Brazile is these people. So that\u2019s why this is eerily curious and interesting.<\/p>\n<p>From The Politico: &#8220;Democrats Shaken and Angered by Brazile Book &#8212; Donna Brazile\u2019s forthcoming memoir triggered renewed recriminations at the highest ranks of the Democratic Party this weekend over the topic that just won\u2019t die: 2016. The latest bombshell from the book came Saturday in a report that the former interim Democratic National Committee chair seriously considered replacing Hillary Clinton on the ticket with Vice President Joe Biden after Clinton collapsed at a 9\/11 memorial service.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and we will never forget that. Hillary was at Ground Zero with her staff of doctors and PR people. I\u2019m sorry. PR people and spokesmen and all that. And she is leaving the service early because there\u2019s no crowds around, we know it was early. And she trudging along. They have one of these-high-rise vans that she\u2019s gonna get into. The doors on this van open on the side, and as Mrs. Clinton reaches the curb, it appears that she just collapses, and if nobody stopped her, she would bang her head and face on the steps of the van.<\/p>\n<p>But there were people there who grabbed her and ushered her into the van. It looked like she could barely move on her own. We made note of it, and I made a note at the time, an observation at the time that the Drive-Bys are gonna downplay this. They\u2019re not gonna show it, but this is gonna be seen all over the place. Social media is gonna have it, enough places are gonna have it, and this is this kind of video that can ruin a candidate.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3sfaOhA5Mss\" width=\"650\" height=\"325\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Presidents are supposed to be strong, they never get sick. When was the last time you ever heard of a president with the flu? You don\u2019t hear it. When was the last time you heard a president with a cold? When was the last time you heard of a president having to go to the hospital? Clinton when he fell off the chandelier at Greg Norman\u2019s house and busted his knee, and Reagan the assassination attempt 1980 &#8212; when was that? That was early on, \u201982, \u201983.<\/p>\n<p>You just don\u2019t hear of presidents having normal, every day illnesses like the flu or common cold, and, as such, people think that presidents are rocks of granite. And Mrs. Clinton basically collapsing at the first step of that van, I guarantee you, the impact of her campaign was incalculable, but they all tried to downplay it, say it didn\u2019t mean anything, but of course it did. But Donna Brazile coming now saying that when she saw that she wanted to replace Hillary with Joe Bite Me because that was doom for her campaign. If it hadn\u2019t been doomed already, it was then.<\/p>\n<p>She went on to describe the Clinton campaign as badly mismanaged and spiritless, according to a copy of her memoir that the Washington Post acquired early. Here is a quote. The left, by the way, the left spent the weekend spinning as hard as they could against Brazile. Just like the networks not showing the kneeling, the networks not showing Hillary collapsing, the Democrats do not want anyone talking about this garbage.<\/p>\n<p>Remember last Friday I told you that not one of the three nightly newscasts &#8212; ABC, CBS, NBC &#8212; even reported The Politico first chapter excerpt from Brazile\u2019s book? Didn\u2019t even mention it. And now they\u2019re all turning on her. Here\u2019s a pull quote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8216;The timing couldn\u2019t have been worse. It does us no good to hash out all this stuff. At this point, we should be looking to the future &#8212; what\u2019s done is done,\u2019 said former DNC chairman and Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell, pointing to the financial arrangement at the center of Brazile\u2019s account. &#8216;There was no crime committed, but it would\u2019ve been easy to avoid. [So] I don\u2019t think it was rigged, I think what the DNC did was just awful. But we should stop talking about it; it\u2019s passed. We can\u2019t adjudicate it now, let\u2019s focus on the elections Tuesday and on going forward.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-253824\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-031017-Rush-Is-Right.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-031017-Rush-Is-Right.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/650-031017-Rush-Is-Right-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>This is what the Democrats always do. When all of the sexual harassment stories are erupting over Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey &#8212; and by the way, that list is growing. Hear what Ben Affleck said? &#8220;I want to be part of the solution to the sexual harassment story in Hollywood. I want to be part of the solution.&#8221; (laughing)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, that story is mushrooming out there like a nuclear explosion, and so they went to Mrs. Clinton about it, \u2019cause her husband\u2019s part of the sexually harassing crowd of Democrats, and it\u2019s almost all exclusive Democrats that are doing this stuff, and, you know, Hillary (imitating Hillary), &#8220;Well, that\u2019s in the past. That doesn\u2019t matter. That hasn\u2019t been litigated.&#8221; It\u2019s what they always do. Rigging the primary for Hillary? Ah, says crazy Fast Eddie, that\u2019s been done. We need to talk about the future. We should stop talking about it.<\/p>\n<p>And of course the Drive-Bys want to, but not until they destroy Donna Brazile. I\u2019m telling, folks, this is a first. We\u2019ve not had a traitor in the Clinton ranks. We\u2019ve not had a tell-all book. We\u2019ve not had some former staffer go on TV to tell dirty tales, sordid tales, stories of what went on in there. It\u2019s unique in all of the presidency. You\u2019ve got traitors from the Bush years. You\u2019ve got traitors from George H. W. Bush, got all kinds of these tell-alls. But from the Clinton years, and even after, none! There\u2019s literally none! &#8216;Cause people were scared to death of them, and Donna Brazile knows these people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-253810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RushFox.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RushFox.jpg 413w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/RushFox-300x170.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>But she\u2019s doing it now, and it\u2019s because I think she, whether they all want to admit this or not, she is on the cutting edge here. They want Hillary gone. They want the Clintons gone because &#8212; and the only reason people are coming out and saying that now is because the Clintons are no longer as powerful as they used to be. And they don\u2019t want Hillary to be the face of the party. So I mentioned this last week. We go to audio sound bite number 1. This is Special Report with Bret Baier on Friday, the All-Star Panel. He had our old buddy Byron York on there, and here\u2019s how Baier set it all up.<\/p>\n<p>BAIER: Here is Rush Limbaugh\u2019s take on what happened in the Clinton world.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH ARCHIVE: Nobody &#8212; since the Clintons took office in 1993, there has not been a single act of what you would call disloyalty until yesterday. The swamp does not want any of this exposed. And yet here comes Donna Brazile. Well, you swamp creatures had better understand something real fast. This is why Trump\u2019s president. This is why Trump\u2019s elected. He simply is reflecting the thinking of millions of Americans what is going on.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Right. And the point is that millions of Americans sense this kind of stuff going on inside the establishment, they\u2019re not happy with it. So then, after playing the clip, Bret Baier goes to our old buddy Byron York, who says&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-253811\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ByronYork.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ByronYork.jpg 411w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/ByronYork-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>YORK: I think he actually has a point. The Clintons basically starved &#8212; they took the oxygen out of the Democratic room, they starved challengers in the crib. Look at the Democrats who ran. You had one 74 year old man who didn\u2019t have anything to lose. You had Martin O\u2019Malley, the only guy in the kind of sweet spot of running for president who just went absolutely nowhere. A lot of the talent in the Democrat Party stayed out of the race because they were intimated by the Clinton machine, and I think Limbaugh is right that what you see now is the Clintons are weak enough to be attacked.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: How does this explain Obama, though, in 2008? See, I think the Democrats wanted no part of Hillary as far back as 2008, but she was owed. They owed her a lot. She single-handedly saved her husband\u2019s presidency by staying with him and following along with the company line. Rather than act like the jilted wife that she was, she joined the effort to ruin the women that came forward. And in so doing &#8212; and she\u2019d been doing it since Arkansas, saved Clinton\u2019s governorship, saved his chance to be president, saved his presidency, she felt owed.<\/p>\n<p>And 2008 was supposed to be hers. Then Obama comes along, and, man, the first chance a bunch of them had the chance to abandon her because she\u2019s the most cheated-on woman in America, they did. So 2016, she takes over the DNC to prevent anything like that happening, and Donna Brazile\u2019s writing about it now, and look at who did run as Byron York points out, a parade of nobodies. But this has rubbed people\u2019s noses wrong I think for a long, long time.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: I want to take you back to September 12th of 2016 on this program. Now, this is related to Brazile, because in Brazile\u2019s book she claims that after she saw Hillary nearly collapse and stumble getting into the van after the 9\/11 memorial, that she wanted to replace Hillary with Joe Bite Me, Vice President Bite Me, and it was the next day on this program that I, your host, opined.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-229503\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/RIH-Rush-SeeIToldYouSo.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"334\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/RIH-Rush-SeeIToldYouSo.jpg 334w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/RIH-Rush-SeeIToldYouSo-300x199.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 334px) 100vw, 334px\" \/>RUSH ARCHIVE: Mrs. Clinton is obviously very ill. She has not been well for a long time, and many people in the Democrat Party are well aware of it. And they have decided to roll the dice that they can \u2014 the doctors or whoever can \u2014 exert enough control over the presentation of the symptoms of this disease that they can manage it. &#8230; [T]here has to be various degrees of panic within the inner sanctum of the Democrat Party at whatever level you\u2019re talking about, because they can\u2019t predict these episodes. And what they know now is the doctors can\u2019t control them. Whatever medication she\u2019s on, whatever maladies she\u2019s suffering, every time she goes in public, it is a roll of the dice. And this has to have them quaking in their boots. Now, Democrats also have a history of replacing people they think are problems. Thomas Eagleton back in 1972. So we\u2019ll just have to watch this and pay attention to it as the Democrats are, \u2019cause make no mistake: They have grave concern.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, Donna Brazile did. She\u2019s admitting it and confirming once again that just like she does, I know these people. Hee-hee-hee-hee-hee. Now, interestingly in this story in the Washington Post by Philip Rucker: &#8220;Donna Brazile: I considered replacing Clinton with Biden as 2016 Democratic nominee,&#8221;<br \/>\nthere is this paragraph:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In an explosive new memoir, Brazile details widespread dysfunction and dissension throughout the Democratic Party, including secret deliberations over using her powers as interim DNC chair to initiate the process of removing Clinton and running mate Sen. Tim Kaine (Va.) from the ticket after Clinton\u2019s Sept. 11, 2016, collapse in New York City.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Now, you know what I notice about this? I picked it up. I was obviously very sensitive to this. Anybody in that party that really wanted to win had to be deathly afraid of Mrs. Clinton on the ticket, but all of this was missed by the eagle-eyed Drive-By Media. You know, this was the time they\u2019re reporting on every leak and every burp from the Trump campaign, but none of this from the DNC leaked out. And it could not have been a secret. If Brazile wanted to replace Hillary with Joe Biden, it couldn\u2019t have been a secret. She had to be discussing it with people, and yet it didn\u2019t leak. And you know there were reporters who knew it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As one of her party\u2019s most prominent black strategists &#8211;&#8221; it points out here &#8212; that\u2019s in the Washington Post, &#8220;&#8211; black strategists, Brazile also recounts fiery disagreements with Clinton\u2019s staffers &#8212; including a conference call in which she told three senior campaign officials, Charlie Baker, Marlon Marshall and Dennis Cheng, that she was being treated like a slave.&#8221; What a paragraph.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As one of her party\u2019s most prominent black strategists, Donna Brazile &#8211;&#8221; I thought it was conservative Republicans who were the slave owners. I thought it was the NFL owners who were the slave owners. And now here comes Donna Brazile talking about the fact that she was being treated like a slave within the Democrat Party? They played the race card on one of their own! But none of this leaked. At this time, all they could do was talk about Trump.<\/p>\n<p>So let\u2019s go to Donna Brazile herself on ABC\u2019s This Week with Stephanopoulos, who used to run the Clinton war room. He\u2019s a faux journalist too. And he says, &#8220;You mentioned Seth Rich, who of course was killed during the campaign. Did you feel under threat?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: I was under tremendous pressure after Secretary Clinton &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait a minute. Wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute, wait a minute. I got out of order here. That\u2019s wrong. I previewed cut 7. My pages stuck together. Grab cut 7 so I continue to look good here. Especially when Donald Trump, especially when Donald Trump would go out there and tweet. You know, look, I\u2019ve worked on campaigns all my adult life. I\u2019ve been called some of the worst things in America, but when Donald Trump would go out there and attack me, I got &#8212; the threats were just unbearable. My house right now is, I got every different kind of security device, I had to get my home swept. I had to get the DNC swept twice. It was horrible.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: That wasn\u2019t the question. The question was you mentioned Seth Rich. Now, in her book &#8212; she\u2019s avoiding it here with old Georgie &#8212; but in her book she says it was it is murder of Seth Rich that made her fearful and is why she closed her shades so that sharp shooters and snipers couldn\u2019t see her while she\u2019s in her home. In this answer, she\u2019s laying all this off on Trump.<\/p>\n<p>But, remember, she knows these people are loaded for bear against her. Now we\u2019ll get back to the bite that was played. It\u2019s still Stephanopoulos. But here\u2019s the question. &#8220;Let\u2019s get some of the facts on the table first. As DNC chair, you did not have the power on your own to replace Hillary on the ticket?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: I was under tremendous pressure after Secretary Clinton fainted to have a, quote, unquote, Plan B. I didn\u2019t want a Plan B. Plan A was great for me. I supported Hillary and I wanted her to win, but we were under pressure. Everybody was calling to see, &#8220;Do you know anything? How is she doing?&#8221; The bottom line is, she resumed campaigning. I went on TV to say that the campaign was back on track.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You know, it\u2019s like we\u2019re listening to two different things. We have the book, and then this stuff. Now, in the book she tried to replace Hillary with Biden, she\u2019s treated like a slave, being DNC chair was worse than Hurricane Katrina and her detractors said go to hell. She feared for her life and so forth, but she\u2019s laying that off on Trump in these interviews. He\u2019s the next one. This is the slave sound bite, so you can hear it yourself. Stephanopoulos says: &#8220;From the sound of it, it sounds like you had a pretty dysfunctional relationship with the high command and Hillary\u2019s campaign. You even talk about telling them at one point, &#8216;I\u2019m not Patsy the slave.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: Oh, George, let me tell you something. I could not control the purse string of the Democratic Party. &#8220;You know, you gotta signed off from Brooklyn.&#8221; I said, &#8220;Brooklyn? I\u2019m not Patsy the slave.&#8221; Because I got sick and tired of people telling me how to spend money when all I was trying to do, I wasn\u2019t getting a salary, I was basically volunteering my time. And what I was trying to do, George, was to increase the level of enthusiasm and passion for Hillary Clinton and the rest of the ticket all across the country.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Well, you could sure fool me. You were trying to improve, increase the level of enthusiasm and passion for Hillary Clinton and the rest of the ticket all across the country? But she\u2019s mad she had to answer to &#8212; Brooklyn is the Hillary campaign, where it was headquartered, and she had to answer \u2019cause Hillary had taken over the DNC, don\u2019t forget, the whole point of her writing the book! That Hillary took the place over and rigged the election against Crazy Bernie! Let\u2019s squeeze one more in here. Stephanopoulos says, &#8220;I\u2019ve gotten emails from passionate Democrats who say that they feel betrayed by what you\u2019re doing. Do you have any regrets?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: George, this was worse than Hurricane Katrina in terms of the emotional toll, but do I regret for standing up for what\u2019s right, helping Hillary Clinton, helping the Democratic Party, do I regret any of that? No. I wish I could have done more, George.<\/p>\n<p>STEPHANOPOULOS: Do you think this helps for the book to come out &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: Well, George, I mean, this is the lesson of 2016. For those who are telling me to shut up, they told Hillary that a couple of months ago, you know what I tell them? Go to hell.<\/p>\n<p>STEPHANOPOULOS: Go to hell?<\/p>\n<p>BRAZILE: I\u2019m gonna tell my story. I wanna tell my story, George. Man, oh, man. Folks, what do you make of this? I mean, this is the Democrat Party in total disarray. But remember, Hillary Clinton\u2019s the smartest woman in the world. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama told us at the Democrat convention (imitating Obama), &#8220;Bill, you know what? We\u2019re just gonna have to admit it, buddy. She runs rings around us. She\u2019s the most qualified person ever to seek this office, Bill. You know it and I know it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And we\u2019re sitting here laughing ourselves silly. What a crock. But he\u2019s up there saying it, you know, and Hillary\u2019s got full Nurse Ratched facial expression on, testicle lockbox sitting right next to her while Obama\u2019s saying all this stuff. And it just made me laugh because this party &#8212; we are afraid of these people? Well, on one hand we should be, they\u2019re shooting people. But, on the other hand, I mean, this party is not what everybody thinks it is. They\u2019re not totally together, well-oiled, smooth running machine, confident, full-fledged.<\/p>\n<p>The only thing &#8212; and it\u2019s a big one. I mean, no doubt. It\u2019s a big one &#8212; But the only thing that allows this party to carry itself the way it does is the Drive-By Media. The Drive-By Media is essentially the Democrat Party, and the Democrat Party is now being driven by the media and given cover by the media, the agenda set by the media.<\/p>\n<p>The opposition research and the destruction of political opponents all being done by the Drive-By Media. And that is enough to inspire all kinds of confidence when, in truth, these people are losing elections at a rapid rate that\u2019s almost difficult to keep tabs on. It just doesn\u2019t appear that way because the media never talks about that. They never report political races that way. But the Democrats are in heap big doo-doo. And all of this illustrates that to a T.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: There\u2019s another thing that we need to take note of. Donna Brazile inadvertently here is admitting that Hillary Clinton lied. You know, after Hillary stumbled and collapsed on the way to the van. (imitating Hillary) &#8220;Oh, no, nothing to see here, just had a bad cold, it\u2019s why we left early, a little under the weather,&#8221; blah, blah. Brazile knew that wasn\u2019t the case.<\/p>\n<p>Brazile\u2019s running the DNC even though Hillary\u2019s commandeered the place, and Brazile is obviously up-to-speed on the fact that this is a disaster waiting, this is one collapse away from utter disaster. It turned out to be it was already a disaster. Yeah. Folks, let me reiterate again &#8212; and I am not exaggerating, and I\u2019m not doing 2020 hindsight multiplied by a bunch. I\u2019m telling you I never thought Hillary Clinton was gonna win this. Not after Trump got in it.<\/p>\n<p>I always thought Trump was gonna win this, call it a sixth sense, call it I don\u2019t know what. And every day my opinion for me was confirmed. You just had to compare the two campaigns. Compare a Trump rally with Hillary\u2019s absence of rallies and appearances. Compare a Trump rally with the Hillary book signing where nobody shows up. The visual evidence &#8212; and that\u2019s what it was &#8212; was abundantly clear.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-253565 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Russian-Hack-Democrats-Hillary-2017.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"585\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Russian-Hack-Democrats-Hillary-2017.jpg 585w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Russian-Hack-Democrats-Hillary-2017-300x138.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 585px) 100vw, 585px\" \/>There was no excitement about her candidacy or campaign at all, not even among Democrats. And there was no personal connection between Democrat voters and Hillary. Hillary was a placeholder, first female president, rah-rah, yip yip yip yip yahoo, whatever, Hillary was, it\u2019s her turn. There were some party loyalists that were devoted to Hillary, but it\u2019s not because she\u2019s a likable, engaging &#8212; Hillary Clinton\u2019s not the kind of person when you see her anywhere you want to know her, you wonder what it\u2019d be like to know, go out and have a beer and chase women with, those desires just don\u2019t hit you.<\/p>\n<p>But with Trump and other people who have a modicum of personality and charisma, those characteristics, those aspects do matter. With Hillary it\u2019s just &#8212; plus, you talk about somebody that had worn out her welcome. So I never thought &#8212; and it was frustrating to me, too, because most everybody I knew was still scared to death of her. Afraid she was gonna win. And look, that would not have been good. That would have been a continuation of Obamaism times however many, but I was never of the opinion that Trump was gonna lose. I did not effusively say this during the campaign for a host of reasons, and most of which had to do with not jinxing, not making voters lazy.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s face it, folks, I have so much influence, you know it and I know it, and people call here and talk about it. If I make it sound like I think it\u2019s a Trump slam dunk, it might be that some Trump voters figure they don\u2019t have to vote. I didn\u2019t want to be responsible for any of that. But none of this is a surprise, nor is the dysfunction in the Democrat Party a surprise.<\/p>\n<p>This is why I\u2019m so frustrated. We ought to be rolling these people, and our guys in Washington, the Republicans, the conservatives in Washington, DC, ought to be of the same frame of mind. But right there is the media, and the media is just a giant stop sign. The media equals abject fear, and that\u2019s, again, you know, I don\u2019t have that fear, and I get frustrated when I hear of people who do. I\u2019m talking about in elective politics. I\u2019m not talking about average people that are not in the news a lot.<\/p>\n<p>This is a once in our lifetimes opportunity, and it\u2019s gonna have to be earned every day. This is why I continue to say, these people have to be defeated every day, it is a daily thing, and they\u2019re not going to go away. And as you\u2019ve seen, when they lose, they do not acknowledge it or behave accordingly or try to figure out what went wrong and improve. That\u2019s not how they operate.
