CALLER: Good. How are you, Mr. Limbaugh?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Fine and dandy. Thank you very much. So what\u2019s up?<\/p>\n

CALLER: So I\u2019m dyslexic, and me and my mom drive 45 minutes twice a week to tutoring and we listen to you all the time. I think you\u2019re so funny and you\u2019re the best.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Wow. So, Robey, how old are you?<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>CALLER: I have your first book and that\u2019s it. I don\u2019t like reading so much because I\u2019m dyslexic, but I love reading that book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Really?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes.<\/p>\n

RUSH: How old are you, Robey?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I\u2019m 14. I turned 14 on Friday, last Friday.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Can I ask you a question about dyslexia?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Would it make you nervous if I asked you?<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: What is hard about reading with dyslexia? I\u2019m not sure exactly. I know what it is, but I\u2019m not exactly sure how it affects you when you\u2019re reading. When you\u2019re trying to read a book with dyslexia, what doesn\u2019t work? What happens?<\/p>\n

CALLER: It\u2019s just… It takes me a long time to read the words. I can\u2019t process the words exactly. So sometimes I\u2019ll forget what I\u2019m reading or I\u2019ll be reading and it\u2019ll just be really hard for me to read.<\/p>\n

RUSH: So what do you do to either fix that or substitute for it? Because you obviously like to read, so what do you do to accommodate it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I am actually going to tutoring. So I\u2019m getting tutored, just different skills and of how to read, how to break words down. So they\u2019re just helping me with that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: And is it easier reading certain things?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Sometimes. Sometimes it\u2019s just as hard for everything. But I really enjoyed reading your book.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, that\u2019s what interests me. How long did it take you to read it?<\/p>\n

CALLER: You know, I… I\u2019m not exactly sure. It was probably a few months.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Really?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: It was able to hold your attention that long?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Well, are you able to listen to audio versions of books? Does that help, or do you like that?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, I do. Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>RUSH: Well, you know what? I record the audio version of every book, and I put \u2019em on CDs, and I think it\u2019d be perfect to send you a set of those.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you!<\/p>\n

RUSH: I\u2019ll send you the rest of the books too. You say you\u2019ve read the first one?<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: All right. Well, we\u2019ll send you the other four and the CDs so that you can just listen to them when you want to really race through them. I do all the voices, I do every bit of it, and they\u2019re fun. I love doing these things, and it\u2019ll be a thrill knowing that you\u2019re listening to them.<\/p>\n
