All of the arrests were made &#8216;by Sonoma County on various felony and misdemeanor charges,\u2019 according to Homan. Sonoma County is&#8221; dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut dadelut &#8220;a sanctuary jurisdiction and does not fully cooperate with federal immigration officials.&#8221; So a wanted illegal immigrant living the life in a sanctuary state, sets a fire in Sonoma County that does great damage to wine country.<\/p>\n<p>And I\u2019m not going to say anything else.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay, may have to do a correction here. Remember the story from earlier in the program, and it was a Breitbart story that said the director of immigration, the ICE director was saying that the wine country arsonist is an illegal alien Mexican.<\/p>\n<p>The story read this way: &#8220;U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Tom Homan confirmed on Thursday that a man arrested in connection with setting a fire in Sonoma County Wine Country is an illegal alien from Mexico who has been twice returned to his &#8216;home country.'&#8221; This is a Breitbart story, by the way. &#8220;Homan also confirmed that ICE has issued detainer requests for Jesus Fabian Gonzalez five times now in the past year alone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-251441 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Sonoma-Fire-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Sonoma-Fire-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Sonoma-Fire.jpg 416w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Well, the correction comes from the Sacramento Bee, headline here: &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/news\/state\/california\/fires\/article179322896.html\">Sonoma Sheriff Shoots Down Right-Wing Reports Linking Arson Suspect to Wine Country Fires<\/a>.&#8221; The sheriff I guess here is named Giordano. He said, &#8220;There is a story out there that he\u2019s the arsonist in these fires,&#8221; meaning the illegal immigrant, and the sheriff says, &#8220;That\u2019s not the case. There\u2019s no indication he\u2019s related to these fires at all. &#8230; I wanted to kill that speculation right now, so we didn\u2019t have things running too far out of control.&#8221; Breitbart published stories on the Sunday arrest of Jesus Gonzalez from sheriff\u2019s deputies arrested on a single count of arson.<\/p>\n<p>So we looked into this, and it is the only story on it, the one from Breitbart here, and as best I\u2019ve been able to tell or we\u2019ve been able to tell it doesn\u2019t link to an actual statement from Director Homan at ICE, so I\u2019m just giving myself a warning here, folks, that this story could have been erroneously reported or mistakenly, whichever it is and pass that on.<\/p>\n<p>I generally have trust in Breitbart. But the story isn\u2019t anywhere else, and now there\u2019s a denial from the Sonoma County sheriff in the Sacramento Bee claiming that it\u2019s not the case. In fact, I could have not mentioned this and then tonight the whole thing blown up and I could have said, &#8220;Yes I did. I corrected it,&#8221; and never did and would have demanded that they prove that I didn\u2019t.
