Hi, Diana. Welcome to the program.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Thank you. Thank you for giving me a second chance. I\u2019m calling because I owe you an apology. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"\/\/\/home\/daily\/site_031507\/content\/limbaugh_charms_lady.html\">I called you on Monday<\/a> and called you a name that you did not deserve.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s when you called me a&#8230;butt.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yes.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: You actually used the orifice\u2019s actual name.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Yeah.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: I appreciate that.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: And for one thing that was out of my character. I don\u2019t ordinarily use profanity with someone &#8212; and when I do, or when I screw up, whether it\u2019s profanity or whatever, I have such a relationship with God that it bothers me when that happens. Because when you sin, you sin against God also. I think a lot of you, and like I told your call screener, I listened to you for 16, 17 years, something like that, and I wanted to have a conversation with you, and then what do I do? I get on the phone and I try to make chopped liver out of you. <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, you know, look &#8212;<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: It was childish and stupid, and I\u2019ve got enough stuff in my life. I don\u2019t need &#8220;stupid&#8221; added to my list. <\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, I appreciate the apology. I feel bad that you\u2019ve been suffering some guilt all week.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Oh, you just don\u2019t know. (Laughing.) In that anger episode, I think I used up my energy for the week.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: Well, you were angry. You didn\u2019t like the way I had dealt with a woman caller prior to you. You were telling me that I had behaved in such a way that you had to use that bodily orifice description of me. But you know everybody has one except people with colostomy bags. It is what it is. Well, even people with colostomy bags have them, but it\u2019s not used. But I\u2019m glad you called. I hope you feel better.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: I do. I called because I wanted to clear my conscience, you know, so that I would have peace once again. Like I said, I don\u2019t like to displease the Lord. He\u2019s the most important thing in my life. <\/line><\/p>\n<p><BR\/>RUSH: Well, let me apologize to you for making you feel that way. Normally you shouldn\u2019t grant people that much power to make you feel that way.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: No, usually I don\u2019t.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: In this case you did, and I apologize, because that\u2019s not my intent. My intent here is not to offend people. I know it\u2019s going to happen, but I don\u2019t try to.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, I could have stated my point without using profanity. That was ridiculous.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: That\u2019s borderline profanity. You hear the word in the movies all the time these days. But I appreciate your call, Diana. Thanks so much. Please, think nothing more of it, okay?<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Okay.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: These things happen in the heat of passion, and I did not take it personally or any of that.<\/line><BR\/>CALLER: Well, I didn\u2019t figure you would, when actually you shouldn\u2019t have because you weren\u2019t the one who committed the crime, so to speak. It was myself, so I\u2019m the one that had to own up to it, so that\u2019s what I\u2019m doing.<\/line><BR\/>RUSH: And you\u2019ve done that, and I appreciate it. Thanks so much for the call.
