CALLER: Hi, Rush. I\u2019m really good. How are you?<\/p>\n
RUSH: Fine. Thanks much.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019ve been listening to you since 1988, right from the beginning.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You\u2019re a lifer.<\/p>\n
CALLER: You are part of my family.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Thank you very much, ma\u2019am. I appreciate that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: It\u2019s amazing. I remember, I can even tell back when your ears were having problems, I thought, “What\u2019s up with Rush?” I remember saying to people, like you were a friend of mine, “What\u2019s up with Rush?” And I just really, really appreciate your input over the years.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, thank you. Look, I understand your point there. I feel the same way in reverse. It\u2019s familial here. Really, there\u2019s a bond here. I get it totally.<\/p>\n
CALLER: It really is. My daughter came into the basement. I work at home in my basement, I do reupholstery and furniture restoration, and she said, “Oh, I\u2019ve been hearing that guy for so many years for my whole life.” She\u2019s not a Rush fan at all, none of my children are, but —<\/p>\n
RUSH: Well, that means you\u2019ve not done a good job. You need to have done better than that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: I\u2019m telling you, I\u2019m trying. They\u2019ll say, “Why do you listen to him?” I said, “Because I want to know all the different points of view. I listen to everybody else too. I want a good, rounded –” this is one thing I have really drilled into my children, don\u2019t listen to somebody else\u2019s view about someone else. You listen to them, not what someone else is saying.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Can\u2019t argue with that.<\/p>\n
CALLER: No, you can\u2019t. But, anyway, listening just now, the fact that there\u2019s no answers is my point. There\u2019s no answers for so many of these issues that the left champions. There\u2019s no answer for the fact that people are gonna die. What an easy one there. People are gonna die if we lose Obamacare. Of course people are gonna die anyway. There\u2019s an easy one.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Climate change.<\/p>\n
CALLER: Climate change.<\/p>\n
RUSH: You know what —<\/p>\n
CALLER: Climate change —<\/p>\n
RUSH: And this is a brilliant point. I\u2019ve said it my own way, but you\u2019re saying it differently here, that all of these issues the left goes for, none of them can be fixed. There isn\u2019t any solution to any of them, which — I have to expand on that. I\u2019m out of time here, but I have to expand.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You know, the point that our previous caller made, I\u2019ve made it in my own way a number of different times, but the way she said this, the left always has their issues. They are things that can never really get fixed, things that really don\u2019t have a governmental solution. She mentioned health care. But she included climate change in it. If you stop and think about it, she is exactly right.<\/p>\n
Now, in the case of climate change, they claim we can fix it but that we won\u2019t know long after all the people alive today are dead, or most of us. They never forecast the calamities to occur within our lifetimes. The sea level rise — see, this is one of the great contradictions, too, by the way. The sea level rise, the ice cap melting, all of these horrible things are 30 years down the road, in some cases 50 years down the road. And that\u2019s done purposefully, since so many will not be around to know whether they were right or wrong.<\/p>\n
But then while they tell us that all of this coming catastrophe, then a hurricane hits, “See? See? See? It\u2019s happening.” Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You say it\u2019s 30, 40, 50 years from now. “Yeah, but it\u2019s a hurricane. See? See?” See what? Hurricanes are no different today than they\u2019ve ever been, except that there are fewer of them. “But they\u2019re worse than ever.” No. No. No. They\u2019re not.<\/p>\n
