RUSH: That person who used to be known as Bradley Manning \u2013 now known as Chelsea Manning \u2013 ran into trouble at the Canadian border. The trouble did not come from our border guys but from Canada\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Manning told Reuters that while trying to get into Quebec \u2013 on the way to Montreal and Vancouver \u2013 the former U.S. soldier was stopped and detained overnight. Then given a report stating this traveler was inadmissible to Canada due to a track record of \u201cserious criminality.\u201d<\/p>\n
The report said that the crimes Manning had been convicted of under the U.S. Espionage Act “would equate to an indictable offence, namely Treason” if committed in Canada. So, Canada told Bradley\/Chelsea Manning: No thanks, stay home, don\u2019t pass go, we don\u2019t need your tourism dollars.<\/p>\n
Manning was outraged and plans to get a Canadian lawyer to fight Canada\u2019s refusal in a Canadian tribunal.<\/p>\n

You never know what will happen in court, but we do know this. The Canadians, apparently, take border security seriously. Being convicted of a crime like treason may earn you a presidential pardon from Obama here in America, but it doesn\u2019t get you a get-out-of-jail-free card everywhere else.<\/p>\n
