I quoted Trump all morning. Let\u2019s actually go to the audio sound bites. This is in Fort Myers on the tarmac at the airport. The reporter says, &#8220;Are you open to citizenship for the DREAMers over time,&#8221; you pig?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-247081\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/650-091417-Trump-media.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/650-091417-Trump-media.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/650-091417-Trump-media-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>THE PRESIDENT: We\u2019re not looking at citizenship. We\u2019re not looking at amnesty. We\u2019re looking at allowing people to stay here. We\u2019re working with everybody. Republican, we\u2019re working with Democrat. I just spoke with Paul Ryan. He\u2019s on board. Everybody\u2019s on board. They want to do something. We\u2019re not talking about amnesty. We\u2019re talking about&#8230; Uh, we\u2019re talking about taking care of people, people that were brought here &#8212; people that have done a good job and were not brought here of their own volition. But very importantly, what we want, we have to have a wall. If the wall is going to be obstructed when we need the funds &#8212; at a little bit later date we\u2019ll be determining how much we need &#8212; then we\u2019re not doing anything.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Oh. Well, there it was. You heard it. I mean, I quoted him earlier, but you just heard it here. If they don\u2019t get the money for the wall&#8230; We need the funds a little bit later. That\u2019s what Chuck and Nancy said. He said we\u2019re gonna do the wall &#8220;a little bit later.&#8221; If we don\u2019t get the money for the wall, the funding, and &#8220;we\u2019re not doing anything.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: So I\u2019m gonna get to Andrew in Katy, Texas, but first one more Trump sound bite. This is where he emphasizes that there\u2019s no deal, that there was no deal, and that if the Democrats obstruct the wall, at some point he will obstruct them. This is in Fort Myers today. We played the first sound bite here right before the end of the hour. Here\u2019s the question again from the unidentified reporter: &#8220;Why did the Democrats say there was a deal at dinner,&#8221; you pig? &#8220;Why did they say that?&#8221; You\u2019ll also hear some unidentified female reporters, and they just get in on the act here in Trump\u2019s answer.<\/p>\n<p>But see, here\u2019s what happened. AP puts the story out, and AP just doesn\u2019t run in one place. AP\u2019s in 4,000 newspapers and thus 4,000 or four million websites, and the reporters all wanted it to be true. They want the story that Chuck and Nancy rolled Trump. So the reporter asks, &#8220;Well, why did the Democrats say there was a deal?&#8221; See, the reporters think that Chuck and Nancy said they had a deal, and Chuck and Nancy are backtracking. &#8220;No, no, no, we didn\u2019t say well.&#8221; Anyway, here\u2019s Trump\u2019s answer to this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: There was no deal, and they didn\u2019t say that. In fact, they just put out a statement. They didn\u2019t say that at all.<\/p>\n<p>REPORTER: No release for DACA recipients unless you get the wall? Is that what you\u2019re saying?<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: The wall&#8230; At some point, they\u2019re going to have to&#8230; They cannot obstruct the wall. The wall, to me, is vital. If I don\u2019t get the wall, then we will become the obstruction.<\/p>\n<p>REPORTERS: (crosstalk) What has to come first, the wall?<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: We have to have an understanding whether it\u2019s in the budget or some other vehicle, in a fairly short period of time, the wall will be funded. Otherwise, we\u2019re not doing any deal.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qKQ-oJllO9w\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Pfft! I don\u2019t know how it can be any more clear. I mean, you\u2019re gonna have to believe that Trump doesn\u2019t mean it or that they tricked him and now he\u2019s trying to slide back out of it. But he even protected them in this answer. The reporter says (impression), &#8220;Well, why did the Democrats say it was a deal a dinner, then?&#8221; Trump said, &#8220;They just put out a statement. They didn\u2019t say that at all.&#8221; So Trump\u2019s defending \u2019em, at least their accuracy of what they said. And then the infobabe said, &#8220;No relief for DACA recipients unless you get the wall? Is that what you\u2019re saying?&#8221; And Trump&#8230; Well, you heard it. He made it explicitly clear here.<\/p>\n<p>So here is Andrew in Katy, Texas. I\u2019m glad you waited. What\u2019s happening, Andrew? What you want to say?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Hey, Rush, thanks for taking my call today. I appreciate that.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: You bet.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: (fast talking) So I just had a question for you. You were alluding to a lot today in regards to the wall and asked about &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Andrew? Andrew? Andrew? Andrew? Andrew? Andrew? Hang on. Could you slow down just a little bit so I can understand you?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Okay.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay. Slow down just a little bit.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Yeah.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Earlier today you spent some time alluding to a lot of conservatives being upset over, you know, the wall and then linking, you know, the deal and trying to manipulate the deal to no wall and trying to paint that narrative. Based on what I\u2019m seeing and based on, you know, how I feel, it\u2019s not the wall, it\u2019s the amnesty portion of it. We have a president who campaigned on no amnesty. They have to go and then they can come back in, and those were his promises throughout the campaign. And for him to essentially, you know&#8230; I know it\u2019s not amnesty, but it essentially will become amnesty, and that\u2019s what our president\u2019s doing and I think that\u2019s what\u2019s got a lot of people ticked off, not the wall.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay. Now, he\u2019s explicitly said there isn\u2019t going to be amnesty. But you think that\u2019s a distinction without a difference, because if they\u2019re being allowed to stay, if they\u2019re not gonna be deported&#8230; You think they need to be deported. You think that\u2019s what he told you he was gonna do during the campaign?<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: I\u2019m not necessarily saying that they should be deported. I\u2019m just saying, you know, if we control the House, control the Supreme Court, control the presidency, then why are we even talking amnesty in the first place? That really shouldn\u2019t even be on the table &#8212; and, yeah, if you want to build the border wall, that\u2019s great. I live in Texas, and, you know, a lot of people here &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Wait a minute. There is an answer to that. It\u2019s not gonna be what you want to hear. But I agree with you. We run the House. We run the Senate. We run the White House. Why is &#8220;amnesty&#8221; even a word coming out of anybody\u2019s mouth? The reason is because Republicans won\u2019t work with Trump on anything! You know that.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Right. And so instead of making a deal&#8230; I agree with you there.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-247115\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ImmigrationBorderPatrol2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"276\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ImmigrationBorderPatrol2.jpg 460w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/ImmigrationBorderPatrol2-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/>RUSH: But it does matter. Democrats are the ones that put amnesty out in the public domain.<\/p>\n<p>CALLER: Well, I completely agree with you there, but what I would say is, you know, use the bully pulpit of the presidency or fight for midterm elections. You don\u2019t necessarily have to get a wall, you know, in the first year of your election and concede something like amnesty, you know, immediately. I just think that\u2019s a terrible deal and I think that\u2019s why a lot of people are ticked off. Because, you know, we were promised the exact opposite, essentially. And I don\u2019t think a lot of people are, like you said, you know, the imagery of doing something like that is not gonna be positive. But, you know, before we even discuss those things, you know, things like border security&#8230; Our border it needs to be secured before we even have that discussion, honestly, and that really needs to be where we\u2019re at.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay. Now, wait a second, though. On the subject of border security, it is. The border is being beefed up every day, and it has been since Trump took office. You know, it\u2019s not a big story. The Drive-Bys haven\u2019t spent a lot of time on it. But you know as well as I do that the numbers of people even trying to get in are way down, and you know why. Is because the people who would otherwise be trying to get in know full well the attitude of the current administration, which is not tolerant.<\/p>\n<p>There is&#8230; Obama welcomed the world in. The Democrats welcomed the world. &#8220;Come on in! We know we\u2019re the reason you\u2019re poor and we know we owe it on you, and we know that America really should be your country. Come on in!&#8221; Well, Trump all during the campaign said, &#8220;No amnesty. Deport. We\u2019re going to have a wall.&#8221; The message got out, and the numbers of people trying to get in are down dramatically. There\u2019s already, therefore, some major improvement in the overall situation, and it\u2019s been brought about by one thing, and that is the simple enforcement of existing law. The Border Patrol has been beefed up, and Trump has given them marching orders.<\/p>\n<p>There are areas of the border that have a fence built and those areas are being built up. But the overall numbers of people coming in, there\u2019s already vast improvement in the circumstance just with the threat, just with the realization that the border isn\u2019t open any longer. And you have to factor that in. I mean, everybody\u2019s aware of that. Trump is aware of that. Believe me, the Democrats are. I hear you when you say, &#8220;Why is amnesty even on the table? We won the election! Those Democrats didn\u2019t win anything, and they\u2019re not even close.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I totally agree, but the answer to that&#8230; Look, I hate saying this, \u2019cause it ticks me off, and it\u2019s not fun to sit here and blame your own team. But there\u2019s no way around it. It\u2019s flabbergasting. It\u2019s frustrating. Like I said in the first hour: We\u2019re never, ever gonna have &#8212; we never thought we would have &#8212; this opportunity, and the odds of it coming around again? Therefore, it needs to be sustained, and that means elections it need to be continued to be one, and that means Democrats need to continue to lose. No matter where the Republicans are, the Democrats need to continue to lose.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-247116\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/TrumpGOP650-013017-Trump-eyes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/TrumpGOP650-013017-Trump-eyes.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/TrumpGOP650-013017-Trump-eyes-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>At some point, you know, try to bring the Republicans around. But when you have Trump, I mean, he doesn\u2019t want to sit there and do nothing. He doesn\u2019t want to sit there and get nothing done. People define &#8220;action&#8221; as coming after legislation. In truth, there is already plenty of improvement and a bunch of action taking place with just the simple enforcement of existing law. But because it doesn\u2019t involve a change, it\u2019s not perceived as dramatic change even though on the ground it really is.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers of people trying to come in are way down. The number of people getting in way down. The number of people leaving is way up. So you have that on one hand. On the other hand, you\u2019ve got official Washington that\u2019s not happy with any of that. I don\u2019t&#8230; I\u2019ve not ever heard Trump say that he is for amnesty. In fact, grab sound bite number five again. This is in Fort Myers. I\u2019m just gonna play maybe one half of this, Mike, so be ready. You know, stand by for the &#8220;stop the tape, stop the tape.&#8221; Reporter says, &#8220;Are you open to citizenship for DREAMers over time?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>THE PRESIDENT: We\u2019re not looking at citizenship. We\u2019re not looking at amnesty. We\u2019re looking at allowing people to stay here. We\u2019re working with everybody. Republican, we\u2019re working with Democrat. I just spoke with Paul Ryan. He\u2019s on board. Everybody\u2019s on board. They want to do something. We\u2019re not talking about amnesty. We\u2019re talking about&#8230; Uh, we\u2019re talking about taking care of people, people that were brought here &#8212; people that have done a good job and were not brought here of their own volition.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Stop the tape. It\u2019s a perfect definition of the DREAMers. They\u2019re kids. Actually, they did come of their own volition, a lot of them. I mean, the sneaky little truth here is part of these kids &#8212; a great number of them &#8212; are the ones that parents put \u2019em on the trains down in Central America &#8212; in El Salvador and Guatemala &#8212; and sent \u2019em up here unaccompanied, because Obama, the door was open. The Obama Regime was welcoming them all in.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019d cross the border, got off the trains, the Obama administration placed them in homes all over America. They didn\u2019t even process \u2019em! If you remember this, they weren\u2019t even going through the full processing stage. And there was one place&#8230; It was Rancho Murieta, a bunch of \u2019em were bused in there and people in Rancho Murieta showed up at a town council meeting and said, &#8220;No! We don\u2019t want them here,&#8221; and so the bus went somewhere else. Some of them were off-loaded. The point is the Obama administration off-loaded these kids and they put \u2019em in homes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-225957\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Rush-Photos-SMALL-007.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"325\" height=\"325\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Rush-Photos-SMALL-007.jpg 325w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Rush-Photos-SMALL-007-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Rush-Photos-SMALL-007-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 325px) 100vw, 325px\" \/>It was all set up, and that\u2019s who we\u2019re talking about. They did come of their own volition to the extent that that you know an 8- or 9-year-old could come, but they came by themselves. They were not unaccompanied. We always suspected at the time that the real intent here was to get them here knowing full well that nobody\u2019s gonna start rounding up a bunch of kids and send \u2019em home. The next thing that was gonna happen, people like Chuck Schumer and Nancy would go to the microphones and cameras (impression)<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s so horrible, all the brave children (sobbing) braving the crime and the heat and the weather coming in the horrible conditions in those freight cars with a bunch of cattle and cattle pooh-pooh (crying) and how can we not let their parents in? I don\u2019t know who was&#8230;&#8221; So it was a push to get their parents in, and that\u2019s what the parents thought. So it was all part of a grand strategy. I\u2019m convinced that it was. So that\u2019s who we\u2019re talking about here, is these kids, and Trump is saying&#8230; Well, I\u2019ve said it myself. Nobody wants to be in charge of pictures of a roundup of &#8212; and now they\u2019re not 8 or 9 anymore.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re a little older than that. And some of them are not even kids. Some of them have aged beyond 20 and 21. But the question I have for you&#8230; &#8220;We\u2019re not talking amnesty.&#8221; Let me get the exact quote from the Trumpster. &#8220;We\u2019re not looking at citizenship. We\u2019re not looking at amnesty. We\u2019re looking at allowing people to stay here.&#8221; Would somebody like to tell me the distinction? Would somebody like to tell me the difference? &#8220;We\u2019re not gonna grant \u2019em amnesty. Nobody\u2019s talking amnesty. We\u2019re not looking at amnesty.
