Thanks for taking my call.<\/line>RUSH: Yes, sir.<\/line>CALLER: Mega snowing-like-crazy dittos from New Mexico.<\/line>RUSH: Thank you, sir.<\/line>CALLER: I wanted to talk a little bit about Hillary, an opponent of hers that nobody\u2019s really talking too much about, and that\u2019s our governor here, Bill Richardson —<\/line>RUSH: (sigh)<\/line>CALLER — and, you know, different ones have said and you\u2019ve made comments in the past about, you know, Hillary\u2019s got some strikes against her because she\u2019s a senator, for one thing, statistically speaking. She doesn\u2019t have any foreign policy experience, whereas on the other hand Bill Richardson is a governor, and he is doing lots of foreign policy things, when he was a prot?g? of —<\/line>RUSH: Let me tell you something. I know where you\u2019re going with this. Are you a Richardson fan?<\/line>CALLER: No. No. Absolutely not, but I\u2019m —<\/line>RUSH: You think he would pose a significant threat to Mrs. Clinton?<\/line>CALLER: Absolutely, because, you know, when he was under Bill Clinton, he was ambassador and things like that —<\/line>RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.<\/line>CALLER: — and now he\u2019s done —<\/line>RUSH: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.<\/line><\/p>\n

CALLER: — these high profile things like meeting with the North Koreans like he did. I don\u2019t know if you can —<\/line>RUSH: Yeah. In fact, grab audio sound bite #4. He was on Neil Cavuto\u2019s show on Fox yesterday, and he\u2019s one of the Democrats that\u2019s traveling the world meeting with our enemies. He met with the North Koreans, and he didn\u2019t get anywhere. I mean, you go over and talk to them, but didn\u2019t get anywhere. Here is what he answered in response to Cavuto\u2019s question, “What did the North Koreans say?”<\/line> RICHARDSON: The typical bombast of the North Koreans on the first day of negotiation is what happened. You know, they\u2019re tough. I said to them, “Look, you\u2019ve gotta take some concrete steps. You\u2019ve gotta find ways to allow international inspectors in. You\u2019ve gotta get rid of that — or at least take down that — Yongbyon nuclear reactor as a show of good faith,” and you know, they listened —<\/line>CAVUTO: And what did they say? <\/line>RICHARDSON: Well, they said they listened. You know, they\u2019re — they\u2019ve got their own plan. (laughing) They\u2019re not like we are, Neil, in terms of negotiating the way we do. They\u2019re tough.<\/line>RUSH: Yeah, we\u2019re not tough! We cave in! “You want us to get rid of our nuclear weapons? Fine! We\u2019ll do that.” The North Koreans say, “What do you mean, take down the Yongbyon nuclear reactor? Screw you! Who the hell are you? You\u2019re not even an official member of the government. What are we doing talking to you?” You know that\u2019s what their reaction is. So Richardson, for all these foreign policy — and I like the guy. You have to understand. Bill Richardson wrote a letter of support to me during my legal imbroglio, pledging to do what he could to help keep medical records private and so forth. He said, “I urge you to win this. This is something we need to all guard,” blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. It was a handwritten note. But he does… (sigh) You know, his r?sum? said that he was drafted by some Major League Baseball team. <\/line>It was on his r?sum? for years and years and years. Finally somebody looked it up and found that he wasn\u2019t. He wasn\u2019t drafted by a Major League Baseball team, and he held a press conference and said (paraphrase), “Well, I thought I was, because somewhere a long time ago in his life, somebody had mentioned it” to him, and, oh, really? It was just one of those things that he remembered. Then ten days ago he\u2019s talking to Carl Cameron of Fox, clearly indicating… You have to read between the lines. He\u2019s running for president. After they run the story (paraphrase), “Oh, no, no, no! I lied to my statement,” or that\u2019s not totally true, and then a little while later, said, “I\u2019ve gotta say Carl Cameron did a good job. He was just doing his job” and so forth. I don\u2019t know. I like the guy. Whether or not he\u2019s going to pose a problem to Mrs. Clinton all depends on what\u2019s in his FBI file.<\/line><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
