CALLER: Thank you so much for taking my call.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n
CALLER: My wife Kathryn and I are longtime listeners. She\u2019s a beautiful woman. I\u2019m sure you appreciate the name Kathryn.<\/p>\n
RUSH: I do.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I\u2019d like to get into the health care thing, but the thing I talked to Mr. Snerdley about was the Mueller investigation.<\/p>\n
RUSH: Yes.<\/p>\n
CALLER: And I wanted to get your thoughts on this. I\u2019m thinking that Mueller and Comey got what they wanted. They\u2019re hiring all these Democratic lawyers and Clinton Foundation lawyers and everything to protect Obama and Hillary, not to worry about Trump. They\u2019re not worried about finding out anything about Trump. They just want to keep it going and they want to cover up for Obama and all the things that they\u2019ve done obstructing justice and things like that.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I like your thinking. There are three popular theories being bandied about to explain Mueller investigation, but we have to remember that it was the Trump administration that decided to do this. It was Rosenstein — and we don\u2019t know why — was he wanting to wash his hands of all of this? Was he responding to the demands of the Democrats? Or is there something else is in the mix?<\/p>\n
Now, here are the three theories. Mueller, as Frank here points out, is hiring some of the biggest Democrat lawyer donors he can find. He\u2019s hired huge donors to Obama, huge donors to Hillary. He has hired fundraising lawyers, I mean, people that are lawyers in their private sector lives who have bundled and raised money. There are some on his staff who aren\u2019t, but it\u2019s noteworthy for all of the partisan leftists that Mueller has hired.<\/p>\n
Mueller himself has perhaps the best and the cleanest reputation in all of official Washington. He is Mr. Integrity. He is Mr. Cultured. He is Mr. Mannered. He is Mr. Sophisticated. There isn\u2019t a soul in Washington who dares utter nary a negative word about Mueller. Okay. Theory one: Mueller is gunning for Trump. He\u2019s hired a bunch of people that hate Trump and despise Trump.<\/p>\n
They\u2019ve got an endless amount of money. They have an endless amount of time. They can request anything. They can go after Trump\u2019s business. They can go after Trump\u2019s bank account. They can go after Trump\u2019s taxes. They can do anything. They\u2019re gonna ruin Trump, and if it takes \u2019em all the way until Election Day 2018, that\u2019s what they\u2019re gonna do.<\/p>\n

Theory number two: Mueller, as Mr. Honest and as Mr. Sophisticated and as Mr. Integrity, as Mr. Cultured, as Mr. Elite, as Mr. Mannered knows full well there\u2019s nothing here, knows that there is no collusion, knows that there is no obstruction of justice, knows that if anybody is working with the Russians, it was not Donald Trump. But if he\u2019s gonna exonerate Trump, if at the end of this, this investigation produces nothing that would warrant taking any action against Trump, the purpose of having all these left-wing Obama and Hillary lovers is to cushion that blow and to give it credibility.<\/p>\n
I mean, after all, this is a theory. If Mueller is gonna return after this investigation and say, “We looked at everything, and, I\u2019m sorry, there\u2019s just nothing here. We did find that Trump flushed his toenails down the toilet in the Oval Office, but we don\u2019t think there\u2019s a crime there. Aside from that, nothing happened.” The left would burn down the White House, unless the investigators are all Hillary and Obama loyalists.<\/p>\n
The third theory is what Frank\u2019s is: that any investigation of Russian involvement in the 2016 campaign is not gonna be able to avoid the Russian contact with Democrats, and that Hillary and Obama loyalists are there to prevent any real damage being done to either of them. Take your pick, folks. Take your pick.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a fourth theory that nobody believes. That Mueller is Mr. Honest and Mr. Integrity, has no preconceived notion and is really gonna look to find what happened here and whatever he finds is what he\u2019s gonna tell us. That\u2019s the thing that you would associate with Mr. Integrity, with Mr. Honesty, with Mr. Character, is the last thing anybody thinks is gonna happen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
