I can see the stitches on a fastball. I can read between the lines. One of the things that I have noticed and pointed out to you quite frequently is how similar talking points from, say, Saddam\u2019s defense team and talking points from the Democratic Party against Bush sound so similar and familiar that it\u2019s dangerous. It\u2019s actually appalling. Today, there is a story in the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2006\/06\/08\/washington\/08elect.html\">New York Times<\/a> by Adam <emphasize>Nag<\/emphasize>-ourney, and Mr. <emphasize>Nag<\/emphasize>-ourney is writing about the elections on Tuesday, and this story contains a statement by Rahm Emanuel who, by the way, took a <emphasize>huge<\/emphasize> hit, not in California 50. <\/line><BR\/><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.suntimes.com\/output\/novak\/cst-edt-novak04.html\">Robert Novak<\/a> wrote about it. Emanuel runs the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee and is getting praised to the hilt. He used to be one of Clinton\u2019s henchmen, and he\u2019s been praised to the hilt for this great job he\u2019s doing out there running the DCCC. Well, his chosen candidate, the Democrat Party\u2019s chosen candidate in some Democrat primary some district somewhere, lost, and it was a resounding defeat, and it was the first <emphasize>rebuke, <\/emphasize>shall we say, of Emanuel. Anyway, in this Adam <emphasize>Nag-<\/emphasize>ourney story about the elections on Tuesday, the statement from Emanuel about California 50 (laughing) sounds so similar to what Al-Jazeera and Al-Qaeda are saying today about Zarqawi that it is <emphasize>funny! <\/emphasize><\/line><BR\/><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/live-rush-limbaugh.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/dems_echo_al_qaeda.Par.0002.ImageFile.jpg\" width=\"214\" height=\"190\" class=\"alignleft\"\/>I\u2019ll get to that here in just a second, and I dare say that there is nobody else in the media who would read a New York Times story about the elections on Tuesday and find similarities to the statement of Al-Qaeda and others in Iraq friendly to Zarqawi today, but me. I doubt it. I\u2019m the only one astute enough, and with the instincts enough, to be able to do this. &#8220;Narrow Victory by GOP Signals Fall Problems.&#8221; Where have we heard this? This is a New York Times story published today. That was the spin <emphasize>yesterday <\/emphasize>from many Democrats. <\/line><BR\/>&#8220;The victory that Republicans squeezed out in a high-profile race to fill a congressional vacancy in San Diego eased party anxieties Wednesday, but signaled future difficulties as they confront tougher Democratic challenges in increasingly contested districts this fall. Mr. Bilbray\u2019s failure to break 50% was striking.&#8221; No, it wasn\u2019t, Adam Nagourney, because there were two other conservatives on the ballot. If you add their vote totals, you get over 55%. It was not &#8220;striking&#8221; at all. <\/line><\/p>\n<p><BR\/>&#8220;But if the outcome was worrisome to Republicans as they battle to hold control of the House, it was also a clear disappointment for Democrats.&#8221; You see, a <emphasize>Republican <\/emphasize>victory signals bad news for the <emphasize>Republican <\/emphasize>Party. A Republican victory is, begrudgingly, a clear disappointment for Democrats. Now, here is Mr. Emanuel. Rahm Emanuel in an interview said, &#8220;Yeah, the Republicans had to spend $5 million, and the dominant message of immigration, to break our message of change. It tells you how potent that message is. Not every district is going to be on the border of Mexico.&#8221;<\/line><BR\/>Mr. Emanuel, you can think your &#8220;message of change&#8221; carried any weight out there, but if you want to know what was the determining factor in California 50, it was <emphasize>immigration, <\/emphasize>and then <emphasize>immigration, <\/emphasize>and then <emphasize>immigration <\/emphasize>&#8212; and if you think that immigration and immigration and immigration only count in districts close to the Mexican border, then you are sadly incompetent and doing an inept job as chairman of the DCCC. (Not to be confused with the CCCP of the old Soviet Union). Now, here\u2019s the statement. When I share this with you, and contrast it here to this statement from Al-Qaeda, you will understand and see the similarities. <\/line><BR\/>&#8220;The Republicans had to spend $5 million, the dominant message of immigration to break our message of change. It tells you how potent that message is. Not every district is going to be on the border of Mexico.&#8221; We\u2019re not going away this didn\u2019t amount to anything this doesn\u2019t count.&#8221; Why, we would have beaten them <strong><emphasize>IF&#8230; <\/emphasize><\/strong>Al-Qaeda: &#8220;We want to give you the joyous news of the martyrdom of the mujahed Sheikh Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The death our leader is life for us. It will only increase our persistence in continuing holy war, so that the world of God will be supreme.&#8221; <\/line><BR\/>So Al-Qaeda <emphasize>loses. <\/emphasize>They say it\u2019s a <emphasize>victory. <\/emphasize>In fact, it\u2019s a huge victory! &#8220;The death of our leaders is life for us.&#8221; Emanuel: You think you won but you didn\u2019t. We did. If you\u2019re fooling yourself into thinking you won, ha-ha! Wait \u2019til we come at you again. <\/line><BR\/>Now I know this is not intentional, because Emanuel said this long before Zarqawi assumed room temperature.
