Trump\u2019s lawyer has accused Comey of lying on two big things. He said that Trump never told Comey to let the Flynn thing go, and he said that Trump never pressured Comey on anything &#8212; and one more, which we\u2019ll get to here in just a second.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s a sound bite. This is Marc Kasowitz, who\u2019s the outside counsel for Trump. This is from the presser he just concluded at the National Press Club.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-236216\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-060817-Trump-Lawyer-Marc-Kasowitz.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-060817-Trump-Lawyer-Marc-Kasowitz.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/650-060817-Trump-Lawyer-Marc-Kasowitz-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>KASOWITZ: Although Mr. Comey testified that he only leaked the memos in response to a tweet, the public record reveals that the New York Times was quoting from those memos the day before the referenced tweet, which belies Mr. Comey\u2019s excuse for this unauthorized disclosure of privileged information and appears to be entirely retaliatory. We will leave it to appropriate authorities to determine whether these leaks should be investigated along with all the others that are being investigated.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Now, what this is about is Comey said that he decided to release his memos in response to a Trump tweet. Comey thought he needed to protect himself. But what the lawyer here is saying is the public record reveals the New York Times was quoting from Comey\u2019s memos before Trump tweeted anything, after Comey said the tweet was why he released the memos. The lawyer also said that Trump never said to Comey, &#8220;Let Flynn go, let the Flynn thing go, let go of it, turn it loose,&#8221; and he never once pressured Comey.<\/p>\n<p>He has come out with both barrels and has accused Comey of lying specifically, in addition to accusing him of becoming a leaker. Comey today also blew up a New York Times story about the Trump campaign having repeated contact with the Russians. What Comey said today is, &#8220;In main, it was not true.&#8221; He was talking about a February 14th New York Times story that was titled, &#8220;Trump Campaign Aides Had Repeated Contacts with Russia.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And then the link to the Times story is here, and they quote various sources saying Trump\u2019s people were talking with the Russians. Comey blew that up today! He said, no, it wasn\u2019t happening. Comey admitted that Trump was never a target today, three times. The first five minutes of Comey\u2019s testimony today should have ended all of this, but it won\u2019t.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH: Wow.
