RUSH: A couple of days ago President Trump tweeted<\/a>: \u201cThe FAKE MSM is working so hard trying to get me not to use Social Media. They hate that I can get the honest and unfiltered message out.\u201d At the daily press briefing, Sean Spicer was asked about the tweet. Spicer said that Trump is the most effective messenger of his agenda, and has about 110 million followers on social media.<\/p>\n

The Washington Post ran a snarky article. They said: \u201cNo, Donald Trump Doesn\u2019t Have 110 Million People Following Him on Social Media.\u201d They claim that Trump only has 93 million followers, while admitting not all social media sites release their figures.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Post then said even if Spicer\u2019s numbers are right, he would still be wrong. First, because many people have multiple social media accounts. And second, some followers on social media sites are robots, or bots.<\/p>\n

Man, is that fascinating. To discredit President Trump, the Washington Post finally admits that social media sites like Twitter are impacted by fake followers, robots, algorithms designed to make one or two people look like thousands.<\/p>\n

These bots are a favorite tool of leftists activists. They use them to pressure advertisers when boycotting conservative shows. They also use them to make liberal causes seem much more popular than they really are. But until now, the Drive-By Media has never seen fit to expose them. It\u2019s curious, isn\u2019t it?
