RUSH: I can now conclude, I can announce I have my own investigation going, and I\u2019m gonna tell you what. This isn\u2019t about collusion with Russia anymore. There\u2019s no “there” there. There\u2019s no evidence.<\/p>\n

And even this dummkopf Brennan testified. What a bunch of obfuscation we\u2019ve had to put up with from this guy, Obama\u2019s CIA director. I mean, this guy\u2019s been trying to say that Trump and the Russians colluded without saying it.<\/p>\n

\"\"“Are you saying –”<\/p>\n

“Well, I can\u2019t say in open session.”<\/p>\n

“What do you mean by that?”<\/p>\n

“Well, I can\u2019t go any further than that here.”<\/p>\n

“But you just said –”<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t do evidence, sir. I turn evidence over to the FBI, but all I\u2019m telling you –”<\/p>\n

“Have you seen any attempt by Trump to push back?”<\/p>\n

“Well, I haven\u2019t seen it personally, no. That\u2019s not say it hasn\u2019t happened, but I, John, Brennan, see, I\u2019m not –” It\u2019s just typical BS. It\u2019s an entirely manufactured story. And I\u2019ll tell you what this has become now. This is a process crime. They\u2019re now gonna try to nab — this is why Flynn is wisely taking the Fifth Amendment. This is why Flynn is rejecting the subpoena. It\u2019s why Flynn\u2019s not gonna show up here because they\u2019re not looking for evidence. They don\u2019t have any evidence. There isn\u2019t gonna be any evidence of collusion.<\/p>\n

And despite that, here\u2019s Brennan going on and on about this is unprecedented, it is unusual. The Russians are doing this and the Russians want to divide us. The Russians want to make us even more partisan than we are, as though this has never happened before.<\/p>\n

Look, Washington, D.C.\u2019s a big town, it\u2019s the most powerful town in the world, and people all over the world try to influence what happens there, including the ChiComs, including our allies, including our enemies. It\u2019s an ongoing effort and has been for years, my friends. You know this as well as I do. And these people are trying to say that there\u2019s something brand-new and unprecedented with Trump, \u2019cause Trump shouldn\u2019t have won. There\u2019s no way Trump could win. He had to have cheated. He had to work with the Russians, but there isn\u2019t any evidence.<\/p>\n

\"\"So what are they going to do? They\u2019re walking back impeachment. Now Podesta has joined that chorus<\/a>. “I don\u2019t think Trump should be impeached.” Podesta is saying so. There\u2019s a survey of people at Harvard saying, “I don\u2019t think Trump\u2019s gonna be impeached.” They\u2019re walking that back. So what they are doing, is they\u2019re heading down the tracks to process crime the way they got Martha Stewart, the way they got Scooter Libby. They\u2019re trying to focus on either lying, talking to agents, or obstruction of justice, which is what they zeroed in on with Nixon. But they\u2019re not gonna let it go.<\/p>\n

When we get to the sound bites you\u2019re gonna hear later today (chuckling), CNN is really conflicted. I mean, they want to cover the terror story but they just can\u2019t let go! They can\u2019t let go of the Trump-colluded-with-Russians story \u2019cause they think if they let it go, the story will go away. It\u2019s like they were afraid if they let go of the search for the Malaysia airliner somebody would find it while they were doing something else. So they never let go of it. Well, CNN won\u2019t let go of this because they\u2019re afraid if they do, some other network\u2019s gonna find the evidence. (chuckles) There isn\u2019t any evidence.<\/p>\n

BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now moving on to the testimony on Capitol Hill today, John Brennan, the former CIA director for the Obama administration. This is another study in one-track mindedness, bias, bigotry, and everything you can roll into this. It\u2019s all wrapped up into the furtherance of the narrative that the Russians colluded with Trump to steal the election from Hillary. Now, what\u2019s beginning to happen is Democrats are starting to walk back the talk on impeachment. They are justifiably worried about what they have created out there.<\/p>\n

They have created a rabid, insane base that is expecting Trump to be criminally charged or thrown out of office for having colluded with the Russians to win the election. That\u2019s what they have convinced (I would say) almost every Democrat voter in this country, including Democrat judges who you would think have a modicum of intelligence and are above this. Everybody who reads the New York Times, I guaran-damn-tee you…<\/p>\n

\"\"I don\u2019t care what their education level is, I don\u2019t care what their income is, I don\u2019t care how sophisticated they are. They all believe, \u2019cause they read the New York Times. They all believe, \u2019cause they read the Washington Post. They all believe, \u2019cause they watch CNN, CBS! They all believe Trump\u2019s guilty. They don\u2019t even doubt it. They\u2019re just the waiting for the evidence. They thought Sally Yates was gonna have it. Now they think Comey\u2019s gonna have it. They think Comey\u2019s got it. It just hadn\u2019t come forth yet.<\/p>\n

Somebody\u2019s got it. Maybe some of the Trump people like Carter Page or Manafort, they\u2019ve got it. They\u2019re gonna get it, though, they\u2019re gonna get it. They already know Trump colluded, Hillary should have won, Trump cheated. They don\u2019t doubt this. I\u2019m talking about millions of deranged, unhinged, mentally unstable Americans who have been led to believe that this is the case. The people who have done the led-to-believing know it isn\u2019t true. They now know they\u2019ve got a problem.<\/p>\n

Those people\u2019s expectations are pretty damn high, and if there is no criminal charge, if Trump is not arrested and charged and impeached, they\u2019ve got a problem. They\u2019ve got fundraising problems. They\u2019ve got Democrats getting mad and deciding to stay home or voting for some wacko independent like Crazy Bernie down the road next time, who knows what. They are terrified of what they\u2019ve created. They misjudged the sophistication of their own voters. They assumed that their voters would understand what this really is.<\/p>\n

It is nothing more than a full-court press to pressure Trump, to paralyze Trump, to distance Trump\u2019s supporters from Trump, but it\u2019s never been about really finding the evidence \u2019cause there isn\u2019t any. And the idea that the Russians colluded in the election, that\u2019s not new, either. Newt Gingrich was on Fox today, he said (paraphrasing), “You know what\u2019s wrong with these hearings is the Republicans. Why are they allowing the focus of this to be one man, Donald Trump? Can nobody on our side ask a question of Brennan about collusion between the Clintons and the Russians?” Which is well known. It\u2019s money. It\u2019s time. It\u2019s Russian banks.<\/p>\n

The Clintons have been in bed with the Russians for years. Why are there no questions about that? Why are there no questions about the banks that Hillary and Bill spoke to and accepted money doing business with the Russians? Where is any question on collusion between the Russians and Hillary for her to win the election via campaign contributions? It\u2019s a valid question. Where are the Republicans? Well, we can answer that. The Republicans are side by side with their brethren in the establishment on all of this.<\/p>\n

But since there isn\u2019t any evidence, folks, they\u2019ve gotta do something. They can\u2019t allow this thing to just end with no evidence and no charges and no insinuations, accusations, allegations, what have you. So what they\u2019re converting all this to now is a process crime. They\u2019re moving it now to obstruction of justice. And if it was asked once today, it was asked 20 times, by Democrats of Brennan. “Do you know, Mr. Director, if there was ever any push-back on your investigation by the Trump campaign or maybe Trump himself? Do you recall, have you seen any evidence that Trump attempted to push back or to impede the investigation?”<\/p>\n

\"\"They\u2019re moving over to that now since there\u2019s not gonna be any evidence of Trump collusion, certainly no actionable evidence. And Brennan right now (paraphrasing), “Well, you know, I can\u2019t really answer that in open court.” So Trey Gowdy, “So then there is, you\u2019re saying that –” “I didn\u2019t say that, congressman.” “Well, you may as well. You tell us you can\u2019t answer here in open session.” “Oh, I wouldn\u2019t do that, I wouldn\u2019t make these assumptions.” Well, what are you trying to insinuate?” “Well, I\u2019ll answer the questions I\u2019m asked, but I still need to be guarded in my answers.”<\/p>\n

This is all just a full-fledged dog-and-pony show. Even Byron York today has a piece. “At this rate, it won\u2019t matter if Trump colluded with Russia.<\/a>” A Scooter Libby witch hunt is what this is beginning to look like. They knew the leaker of Valerie Jarrett\u2019s name, but they weren\u2019t gonna go after him because he was an accepted member of the establishment, Richard Armitage.<\/p>\n

So they had to go after somebody because they led everybody to believe that these Republicans and Bush had committed crimes in Iraq and committed crimes against prisoners and torture, and had to get somebody, somebody had to pay for this lying by the media and Democrats. And that\u2019s where we are here. So it\u2019s changing into don\u2019t expect Trump to be impeached. That\u2019s being said more and more. And moving over to the process crime. We\u2019ll let you hear some of the sound bites we\u2019ve been talking about here. Well, there\u2019s other support data on this, too.<\/p>\n
