RUSH: Here\u2019s Greg in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Welcome, sir, to the Rush Limbaugh program. Hello.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Thank you for having me, Rush. How are you doing?<\/p>\n

RUSH: Very well, sir. Thank you for calling.<\/p>\n

\"\"CALLER: I just wanted to… I\u2019m a 10-year vet. I\u2019m 35. I just wanted to tell you, I still listen to The Daily Show, and kind of laughed at you, and I never gave you a chance. So today, I wanted to call in. I\u2019ve listened to your show for about a year. I just wanted to tell you that I apologize for that and, you know, everything you said makes sense to me. I\u2019ve kind of… Since I was younger and I was in college then, I\u2019m more mature now. I\u2019ve gotten smarter, I\u2019d like to think.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Right.<\/p>\n

CALLER: And I\u2019ve just kind of realigned my thinking over time. I never listened to your show and I just by happenstance found on you the radio, and I gotta tell you… (chuckling) I mean, I agree with everything you say.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Let me ask you now, so you watched The Daily Show, you watched that faux comedy show. They made fun of me all the time, so you didn\u2019t listen to me because you thought I was whatever they said I was.<\/p>\n

CALLER: Yes, sir.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Now what do you think of The Daily Show? Now what do you think of what you were watching? Since now you\u2019ve listened to me — and you find out they were full of it and I\u2019m a brilliant, nice guy — what do you think of them now?<\/p>\n

CALLER: I think they\u2019re horrible. I think they\u2019re a waste of time.<\/p>\n

RUSH: You didn\u2019t think that at the time, did you? You loved them. You thought they —<\/p>\n

CALLER: No, at the time I was kind of in the crowd, you know, and going with the crowd and crowd mentality. Yeah, I just thought some of this stuff funny. But now whenever I watch the show I don\u2019t think it\u2019s funny. I\u2019m laughing at them, not with them anymore.<\/p>\n

RUSH: Yeah. But you still do watch it?<\/p>\n

\"\"CALLER: I\u2019ll watch clips in between things. I don\u2019t waste a lot of time with that. I also don\u2019t watch any mainstream media anymore.<\/p>\n

RUSH: I shouldn\u2019t say this. You can never say what I\u2019m thinking I shouldn\u2019t say with any kind of… It always comes off as spoilsport. But all of these… Let me just put it this way: All of these television shows that are really nothing more than showing clips of things in the news and making jokes and laughing about them, that all started on Rush Limbaugh the TV Show, from 1992 to 1994. And everybody who does that now stole it and ripped it off from us.<\/p>\n
