It\u2019s sad at the same time, but it\u2019s also funny. Maxine Waters, who is&#8230; The elevator doesn\u2019t go to the top floor. She\u2019s an order of fries short of a Happy Meal. She\u2019s just out there. (chuckling) Folks, I\u2019m just trying to be as polite as I can here. And yet she has become&#8230; With Millennials on the left, she is the biggest star in the Democrat Party today. It defies explanation! I read an interview with her.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-233063\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/RushMSNBCBanSHORT.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"355\" height=\"248\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/RushMSNBCBanSHORT.jpg 355w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/RushMSNBCBanSHORT-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 355px) 100vw, 355px\" \/>I think it was in Elle magazine, E-L-L-E. It was some women\u2019s magazine. I wasn\u2019t reading the magazine. The story was linked to a blog that I was reading that the blogger was also stunned and shocked. You should have seen the hero worship. The writer of the story was just the biggest glittering jewel of stupidity, and was singing the praises of &#8220;Auntie Maxine&#8221; as the greatest&#8230; She\u2019s kind of like Chauncey Gardiner. You know Peter Sellers in that movie? No matter what he said, everybody thought it was genius! It\u2019s kind of this way with Maxine.<\/p>\n<p>So I thought we have some sound bites here. (interruption) I met Maxine, yes. It was at the Super Bowl in Atlanta in 1995. It was at the commissioner\u2019s party. I think it was the commissioner\u2019s party. It was the Friday night before the game. I think it was the commissioner\u2019s party. She approached me. She approached me; she had her husband Sidney with her. Sidney\u2019s a former player for the Oakland Raiders. I think it was the Raiders. He was a player in the NFL, and he worked at a Mercedes dealership.<\/p>\n<p>She was trying to use him as a means of refuting my claim that she was anti-capitalist. &#8220;My husband works in a car dealership. What do you mean, I don\u2019t like capitalism? I love capitalism!&#8221; Sidney was just standing there, knowing he\u2019s not gonna get a word in. (interruption) Oh, she knew who I was. She approached me, came up to me. She was feisty. She wasn\u2019t mean, but she was combative. She was gonna give what-for. She was gonna tell me what-for.<\/p>\n<p>You know, she used to have a partner in crime, Diane Watson, out of Los Angeles. They were the Batman and Robin of the uber-civil rights left back in the seventies and eighties. They were in the&#8230; I think they were in California Assembly together. Maybe it was just Diane Watson. But she ended up joining Maxine in Congress for awhile, and Tom Hayden loved them. I met Tom Hayden once. He came by the station I worked for in Sacramento. He was just waxing on about Maxine and Diane.<\/p>\n<p>I can\u2019t believe this. I can\u2019t believe what I\u2019m hearing; I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m talking to a guy who thinks this. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m talking to a guy who sees this when he looks at Maxine Waters. Because, folks&#8230; (sigh) I mean, I don\u2019t know how to politely say this. (laughing) Just&#8230; Let\u2019s just go to the audio sound bites. That\u2019d be the safest thing to do. Now, Maxine is making news lately because she has &#8212; and she does this. She undercuts the left every time she opens her mouth. She gives away what their strategy is.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-233049\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Watters-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Watters-1.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Watters-1-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>She gives away what their long-term plans are. Like she once told a collection of CEOs during a congressional hearing, &#8220;If you think we\u2019re coming after your business, you\u2019re right. We are. We don\u2019t know how to run \u2019em. We\u2019re gonna take \u2019em over!&#8221; You know, gavel! (banging) The chairman of the committee started gaveling her shut. &#8220;No, no, no! You\u2019re not supposed to say that. You\u2019re not supposed to tell \u2019em we\u2019re gonna take their businesses away from \u2019em.&#8221; &#8220;Well, we are! That\u2019s what we\u2019re here for!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This kind of stuff. &#8220;They don\u2019t know what they\u2019re doing with their businesses. They don\u2019t care about people. They\u2019re killing people. They don\u2019t care about it. We\u2019re gonna take \u2019em over. That\u2019s the whole point of us being here.&#8221; Gavel! He tries to bring the proceedings to a screeching halt yet again. Cookie, I know we have one of those instances in our archives, and I think that very one. Maybe she can find it. Anyway, this is the bite that sets this all up. We\u2019re gonna go back here to January 13.<\/p>\n<p>Now, this, folks, is a nine-second bite, but it sets up what\u2019s coming. Maxine is in Washington at a press conference after a closed-door briefing for all House members on the supposed Russian hacking in the election. So on January 13, there was a closed door meeting. (chuckles) There wasn\u2019t any evidence then; there isn\u2019t any evidence now. McCabe, by the way, testified today that the Russia investigation is highly significant. It\u2019s very, very significant. Yeah, well, they don\u2019t&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Unless they\u2019ve got some evidence that the Russians worked with Trump to steal the election, what the hell are they gonna come up with here? It\u2019s not even a criminal investigation. Anyway, here\u2019s the bite. This is Maxine at the press conference. She had this&#8230; It\u2019s a reporter, not named, and he starts the bite with a question. He wants to know if there\u2019s anything that comes out of the briefing that she can share with the media. It\u2019s number 26, and then we\u2019ll go to two and three. All right. It\u2019s sound bite 26. In three, two, one.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/w8nyZVSVQZg\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>REPORTER: Can you tell us anything about the discussion in the briefing?<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No, it\u2019s classified, and we can\u2019t tell you anything. All I can tell you is the FBI director has no credibility.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Ooh no! Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa! January 13, Maxine Waters coming out of a briefing &#8212; a closed-door briefing for all House members &#8212; and the conclusion she had was that the FBI director has no credibility. That would be James Comey! That\u2019s the only thing she&#8230; So what did they hear in there? What must the members of the House have been told? The Democrat caucus, what must they have been told about this investigation? Whatever it was, it made her mad as hell at Comey, okay?<\/p>\n<p>January 13th (paraphrased), &#8220;Well, there\u2019s nothing I can tell you. They\u2019ll gavel me shut! But all I can tell you is the FBI director has no credibility.&#8221; We no go to late yesterday, PMSNBC Live, the host Peter Alexander speaking with Maxine Waters about Trump firing Comey. Question: &#8220;You obviously have been very critical of James Comey in the past. You said he had &#8216;no credibility.\u2019 I assume you support the president\u2019s decision to fire the FBI director?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No, I do not necessarily support the president\u2019s decision. If the president had not gone all over the country praising him about the way he handled Hillary and the emails &#8212; if the president had not said he had confidence in him, if the president had not said he was a part of his team &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: But, Congresswoman?<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: Yes?<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: I understand in the past he was praising him. But if you said FBI director James Comey had no credibility &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: &#8212; wouldn\u2019t you support the fact that the president &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: &#8212; made the decision to get rid of him?<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No. No, not necessarily, and let me tell you why.<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: Why not?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-233047\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-2.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-2-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>WATERS: You have an investigation going on where the president is implicated, and this is a serious investigation. I\u2019ve been trying to get people to focus on this connection with the Kremlin and with Putin. I believe that they should have to connect the dots and get the facts, because I think it will lead to the impeachment of this president.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Which she\u2019s been talking about since January. She\u2019s been talking about impeaching Trump since January. So it\u2019s &#8220;a serious investigation. The president is implicated,&#8221; she said. &#8220;The president\u2019s implicated,&#8221; serious investigation. She\u2019s been &#8220;trying to get people to focus connection with the Kremlin and with Putin.&#8221; So Alexander then says, &#8220;Okay, now, to be clear, you believe it would have been better to keep in place an FBI director who you said had &#8216;no credibility\u2019 to oversee this investigation than to find somebody who you think would be a better choice?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No. But I believe the president thought that. Don\u2019t forget, you\u2019re talking about what some Democrat said, what I said. But don\u2019t forget: He was the president. The president supported him. He had confidence in him. It was within his power and he said he wants to kick his &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: But you said he had no credibility.<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: I did! Absolutely!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: It would seem to make sense that he should get rid of him.<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No! No, no, no! Under investigation. This president basically has interfered with an investigation where he may be implicated. That\u2019s outrageous, and that\u2019s why we\u2019re having so much of a conversation about it today. Everybody is talking about it, because this is highly unusual. It does not meet the smell test.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: No, no. &#8220;It does not meet the smell test.&#8221; See, what he\u2019s getting at is, you said the guy has no credibility back in January. No credibility! &#8220;It doesn\u2019t matter, because the president is implicated. It\u2019s a serious investigation, and Trump said he had confidence in him.&#8221; &#8220;Well, you didn\u2019t. Don\u2019t you think it\u2019d be better to get rid of him?&#8221; &#8220;No. No, no. Let me tell you why. Under investigation, this president basically has interfered with an investigation where he may be&#8230;&#8221; Uh-oh! May be implicated? In the previous bite, he is implicated. Now it\u2019s &#8220;may be implicated.&#8221; So the next bite, Alexander &#8212; frustrated here that he can\u2019t get any common sense out of her &#8212; tries one more time. &#8220;So if Hillary Clinton had won the White House, would you have recommended she fire Comey?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-233048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-3.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/650-051117-Waters-3-300x144.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>WATERS: Well, let me tell you something: If she had won the White House, I believe that &#8212; given what he did to her and what he tried to do &#8212; she should have fired him. Yes!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: So she should have fired him, but he shouldn\u2019t have fired him? This is why I\u2019m confused.<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: No. (sputters) No, you\u2019re not confused!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: I am confused.<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: If the president is implicated in an investigation, the president of the United States &#8212; who has a history of firing people who get close to, you know, him and his allies, like Flynn and like Miss Yates &#8212; he will fire them if he believes somehow they\u2019re getting too close to him in these investigations. I believe that the president of the United States should not have done this in the middle an investigation. That\u2019s it!<\/p>\n<p>ALEXANDER: I understand.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Okay. So she eventually says that if Hillary had fired Comey, it would have been fine, because apparently Hillary would not have been implicated in an investigation. Except Hillary did rig an election, Maxine. Hillary and Debbie &#8220;Blabbermouth&#8221; Schultz rigged the election against Crazy Bernie &#8212; who I think Maxine supported, didn\u2019t she? Not sure about that. Anyway, I wanted you to hear this because she\u2019s the heroine. She\u2019s the biggest star right now the Democrats have in terms of personality. (laughing) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/curtis-houck\/2017\/05\/08\/mtv-awards-swoons-over-extraordinary-example-maxine-waters-gives\">She\u2019s at the MTV Awards<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Here\u2019s just one example of Maxine from our Grooveyard of Forgotten Sound Bites, from the archives. This goes back to August 31, 2011. It\u2019s in Los Angeles. There\u2019s a Congressional Black Caucasians town hall called the For the People Jobs Initiative. And there are a bunch of bankers that are in there, and Maxine is referring to \u2019em as &#8220;gangsta&#8221; bankers.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/7986RzoDkAw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>WATERS: It\u2019s time for the bully pulpit of the White House to bring the gangstas in &#8212;<\/p>\n<p>FOLLOWERS: (applause)<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: &#8212; put them around the table and let them know that if they don\u2019t come up with loan modifications and keep people in their homes that they\u2019ve worked so hard for, we\u2019re gonna tax them out of business.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: (laughing) There we go. (paraphrased) &#8220;We\u2019re gonna tax gangsta banks out of business! If they don\u2019t stop foreclosing on the peeps, we\u2019re gonna tax \u2019em out of business!&#8221; And that\u2019s just one example! There are countless examples of Maxine threatening CEOs of any number of industries and businesses with the very same destruction by the Democrat Party.<\/p>\n<p>BREAK TRANSCRIPT<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: Grab sound bite 31. We\u2019ve got another Maxine Waters. (chuckles) This is 2002. This is in Washington, a House Financial Services Committee hearing. Remember WorldCom, the giant financial concern that was accused of cheating and doing&#8230;? (interruption) Terry McAuliffe had ties to WorldCom and so did this guy in Bel Air. Now, what\u2019s his name? Oh, geez. I can\u2019t think&#8230; (interruption) No, that was Global Crossing, Gary Winnick. This WorldCom, this was&#8230; I don\u2019t know. Anyway, it was a great big company the Democrats went after, and Maxine here is on the Financial Services Committee, and she is&#8230; I don\u2019t know if she\u2019s talking to somebody or just making a speech here. But listen.<\/p>\n<p>WATERS: The analyst, Mr. Jack Grubman from Salomon Barney Frank with close ties to WorldCom. And, by the way, he refers to close ties and conflict of interest at Synergy, is the one who recommended WorldCom.<\/p>\n<p>RUSH: &#8220;Salomon Barney Frank.&#8221; Now, what does she think?
