It\u2019s from Bitsy Rothbard in Spokane, Washington. I\u2019m gonna &#8212; I\u2019m gonna paraphrase it. She says that she has heard me say many times that I had never heard of Steve Bannon or the Mercer family until 2015, and she can\u2019t understand that. She said, &#8220;These are prominent people in the conservative movement. They are big donors. How is it that you have never heard of them? Because you are Mr. Conservative. How in the&#8230;?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-232089\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Bannon650.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"650\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Bannon650.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.rushlimbaugh.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Bannon650-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 650px) 100vw, 650px\" \/>You know, I\u2019ve asked myself that I don\u2019t know how many times. You know what I guess it is? I don\u2019t live in the donor world. I don\u2019t live in the fundraiser, donor world. I don\u2019t live in the world where you go ask people for money. I live in the world where (chuckling) people ask you for money, but I don\u2019t live in the world where I ask people&#8230; The whole concept of donors and funding doesn\u2019t even get close to what I do, so I just&#8230; I don\u2019t function in that world.<\/p>\n<p>I know it exists. I mean, we have&#8230; Over the years <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heritage.org\/\">Heritage Foundation<\/a> has sponsored my work with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lls.org\/\">Leukemia &amp; Lymphoma Society<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mc-lef.org\/\">Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation<\/a>. But those are not ideologically oriented charities. It\u2019s no big deal. But this emailer says she finds it hard to believe that I, as Mr. Conservative, wouldn\u2019t know the people responsible for getting Trump to hire people in his administration, and that\u2019s as best I can tell you.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s nothing wrong on right about it; it\u2019s just what it is. When it comes to that whole world, folks, I just wasn\u2019t raised in it. I was not raised where you ask people for money, for causes or for anything. You just didn\u2019t do it, and you didn\u2019t accept it. It just wasn\u2019t&#8230; It was a totally foreign world. I realize that\u2019s how most of or much of Washington actually operates. But I have no experience with or connection to it. So that\u2019s the best I can do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUSH:  You know what I guess it is?
