U.S. District Judge William “Vacuum Cleaner” Orrick blocked President Trump\u2019s Executive Order, which simply promised to enforce existing law. That\u2019s all it did! It\u2019s a law signed in 1996 by Bill Clinton. It withholds certain federal funds from cities that flout federal immigration law.<\/p>\n
Judge Vacuum Cleaner had to invent a \u201clegal\u201d reason to block Trump\u2019s order. He agreed with San Francisco and other jurisdictions, that the mere threat to enforce this law is causing stress. This constitutes immediate \u201cirreparable harm.\u201d So, the judge concocted a new violation: \u201ccreating pre-enactment anxiety.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ruling applies nationwide. Pending appeal.<\/p>\n

So. One un-elected federal judge \u2013 an Obama appointee and donor \u2013 basically just overrode existing law. He overturned the election results. He overruled the executive branch and Congress. These are supposed to be co-equal branches of government, not underlings of the court. Judge Orrick \u2013 not Trump \u2013 is the one acting dictatorially.<\/p>\n
The left\u2019s gloating started immediately. James Williams, the lawyer representing Santa Clara County, told CNN it\u2018s a \u201chuge win.\u201d He said, “The threat to withhold funds from state and local governments\u201d in Trump\u2019s executive order \u201cis dead.\u201d<\/p>\n
No. It will be appealed. What\u2019s dying in America is the rule of law. If liberal lawmakers don\u2019t like certain laws \u2013 or election results \u2013 they just ignore them, and activist judges jump right in to assist. To hell with the Constitution!
